The most unusual option is the flamenquines, which are sort of a tapas version of a Scotch egg with pork, pepper, and an egg in the center with a nice fried crust. Check it out! Depending on the time of year, the sun can be harsh, so wear SPF or bring a hat, because the umbrellas are few. Need to hit the loo? No problem--they have a well-kept unisex bathroom, too.

El Txoko Alaves is best when you come in a group. Tip: They don't only serve tapas but also main dishes which include their menu del dia. It starts at 12:30pm and for 13 mil you get a 3 course meal plus either a glass of wine, pisco sour or beer and a coffee or tea!
