Came as a drop in for a yoga class with my mom while visiting Treasure Island. The only downside is that you when booking through the website, you have to create an account to save your spot and I couldn't find a way to pay for two people at once, so my mom and I had to sign up separately. However, the rest of the experience was great. The studio is beautifully decorated, colorful, clean, and peaceful. They offer Pilates and barre as well. The yoga class we did was challenging, but the pace was good, and the instructor was nice. Provided modifications as needed if a position was tough or not comfortable. Went to 7:30am barre class for the first time at this studio on Tuesday. Sue was lovely and super friendly, but still keeps you motivated! As challenging as you wish to make the class with several weights for different levels available at hand inside the beautiful studio. Soooo spacious. Really great relaxation stretching afterward too and plenty of stretching in between - so crucial for proper muscle growth/tone. Great way to start my day! Got a full tour it being my first time there - spacious yet intimate facility. Feels cozy even, so well decorated! Industrial space, yet warm with the decor and wooden furniture touches. Boutique upscale feel for sure. Plenty of seating in waiting area. They got a new frequent customer here! read more

Awesome place to workout! I did the first class free, and then 3 more classes. If I was staying in the area, I'd consider a membership! Barre, booty barre, and total body sculpt. I'd say the total body sculpt was the most challenging for me overall, but definitely some exercises in the other classes as well. As fitness instructors go - all were on par. As far as friendly instructors - I'd say 2/4. But I don't need a friendly instructor to get a good workout in. Not a TON of classes but enough daily to fit into your schedule. read more

Such a cute studio. The instructors are great and know their stuff. I had Debbie and Sue as my instructors and I took 4 classes with them while I was visiting Treasure Island. So glad I did. Classes are an hour each and the place is clean , well air conditioned and I just enjoyed myself. I do boxing, lifting , Pilates and cycling on the regular back home in Alexandria VA. I will definitely come back again here next time I am in town. They also have a cute little store inside where they sell neat clothes and items. They also sell grip socks but I brought mine from home. read more

I heard from a friend they have meditation classes on Monday & Tuesday nights and was recommended it would help with my job stress. I now go every week I am in town. The guided mediation was wonderful. After my first class, I went home and slept soundly that night for 8 straight hours, a rare event for me. I checked out other classes in other cities during my travel yet I like Barre Central's classes the best. I like how Katherine changes it up each time, very peaceful and calming. Absolutely loved the feel of the studio. They did a great job. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Came in to try my free class and did cardio barre with Gail. Enjoyable instructor and a good workout! Love that they offer a variety of classes and times. I would come back for all these reasons! Unfortunately, I travel a lot for work and so unlimited classes never works for me and as typical of barre, the packages are expensive. I just can't see spending close to 20$ a class, when there are so many options out there. Thank you for a great class! I would still recommend the studio. read more

Stumbled upon this place during a week vacation and loved it so much I ended up going to 5 classes! Sue was my favorite instructor- she truly has a gift & is the perfect mix of encouraging and tough. She made me feel very welcome as a visitor & the studio was small, clean & friendly. The classes would be great for beginners to advanced as Sue spent a lot of time offering modifications for all intensity levels and people with possible injuries. I needed the package I purchased adjusted and the owner was happy to work with me and sort it out, no problem at all. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. read more

Barre Central is everything I've been looking for in a fitness studio. While the Barre classes are the most fun and challenging barre classes I've ever taken, what I love even more is that there are a great variety of classes...from bounce to circuits to TRX to kickboxing. Barre was such an intimidating workout to me but I immediately felt welcome when I stepped into the studio. GREAT studio with the best instructors out there. I love this gym! The staff, instructors and philosophy are extraordinary. The gym I was a member of closed and I joined another chain gym. I am not inspired to get a really good workout at a traditional gym. From my first Barre Central Class I was so excited about how I felt my body was going to get more strong and fit. Amazing results and the instructors really pay attention to everyone's needs. They all know I have a wrist issue and they know to give me alternate exercises. Sue, one of the amazing instructors is very good about having two to three variations for individuals with different issues on each segment.
