I rarely have someone in class with me. The sauna seats 3+ - Staff is nice -Weight area Cons: -Hidden cost: Sign up is easy and appears reasonable, but lots of hidden cost. This is includes sign up fee. If you want to to do iso workouts you need to purchase a mat and towel from them (100+ cost), bands cost extra (12+), water cost, hair ties cost, renting requirement is 5 dollars -Weight area privacy: I wish there was a private area for weight or some partition to have partial privacy. It's in the open so people pass and wait for classes to start. -Variety of class videos: there is not a lot of variety in videos. I tend to see the same video. It's fine because I play music but I would love variety and the instructor doesn't seem to be sweating even though they should be in a sauna like us. It would help to see them do what we do. Overall, it's going good so far. I plan to continue to try. I enjoy sauna and pairing it with workouts make it better in between my gym days.

It was out of my mind until we got the medical questionnaire and the registration fee was due which we promptly paid and sent in the questionnaire. After we sent that in we were informed our son was disqualified because he has his Covid vaccinations. Something about it being unsafe without a clean ekg. I did not understand this but as a business that is their right to make that policy. However, this was not mentioned at all to me (I keep relooking at correspondence and see nothing about Covid vaccines) while signing up and making payments. If it had been I would not have signed him up as we knew as soon as he turned 6 months we would be getting him vaccinated. We were informed that we would get a full refund of the first payment we made in February and a partial refund of the registration fee......this is where they lost me. They just took the registration fee and then like a week later won't be refunding the full amount because they booted my kid for being vaccinated. If this were stated from the beginning we wouldn't have paid anything therefore wouldn't have lost any money or time and energy. I emailed stating our regret and how this should have been mentioned before any money was sent that wasn't 100% refundable and never heard back. All of is just poor business etiquette. So basically save yourself some time and money and don't enroll you child if they have had their Covid vaccines or your kid will be disqualified at least for the infant survival classes. If they aren't vaccinated - we have a friend who seems to enjoy using this business.

A friend of mine invited me to workout with her and our trainer, Wesley Newsom, changed my whole perspective. I went from rarely working out to being a regular, and from feeling uncomfortable and awkward to feeling like I'm at my home away from home. EQ is welcoming- from the trainers to the members--and makes you feel like you belong, no matter your age or experience level. Although working out next to me may be college athletes in peak condition, nobody makes you feel like you have to keep up with anyone else and modifications are always an option. The workouts are challenging but we also have fun. The trainers are all very different but bring great energy and make the hard work enjoyable. I also appreciate that recovery is intentional at EQ, which is helpful as I get older, but is good for everyone! With an in house physical therapist and weekly yoga and mat Pilates classes, my body has a chance to recover from all of my hard work the rest of the week. My favorite thing about EQ is the community. We even have monthly outings, family classes, a book club, running club and a kickball team. I never expected to make friends at a gym, but here we are, and some of my best friends came from EQ! If you're older or just getting back into fitness, this gym is a great place to start--and stick with. You won't be overwhelmed, and you'll feel supported every step of the way.

The workouts change every day with a variety of strength and cardio days. My husband and I are so much healthier and happier because of EQ. EQ has an in house Physical Therapist that is wonderful, too. Kate has helped my husband, kids, and myself heal from various injuries and get right back to training. I appreciate that recovery is a priority at EQ. The best part of EQ is the community. Wes and Kate create a great environment with people of all ages and abilities and get us to sweat together and have fun, adding regular outings and activities to enjoy outside of working out.
