Difficulty level: I'm a pretty big yoga snob so I was a bit nervous the suburbs wouldn't be up to my regular practice. I usually practice power yoga (Anjali) or vinyasa flow (Dhyana) in Philly and i was pleasantly surprised that the level 2/3 classes here were on par with the regular classes at the studios I usually go to in the city. Although not heated like power yoga, it was definitely a great workout and I broke a sweat. Instructors: Annamieke and Allison were both great instructors, and have options to go into inversions and arm balances. Studio: The studio is beautiful and really cool, exposed wood beams and giant lanterns in an old barn looking building. Pricing: Drop in was $15 with a 20% discount for students and I know they regularly run Groupons. Pro-tips: Don't forget to grab come complimentary yogi tea on your way out! The only thing I truly didn't like was the fact that the bathroom was right inside the yoga room itself and not in the waiting area.

Each class also varies in heat (some warmer than others) which is nice to help loosen up the muscles, especially since we're sitting in odd positions all day. I've been to flow and stretching classes with Jeni also with Katra and I consistently do 26&2 with Hannah who o also did a private session where she really helped me better understand the poses I was struggling with and gave me direction and guidance that was specific to my strengths and weaknesses . They are all so knowledgeable, patient , and they push you to go beyond where you think you can go. I can't wait to try out the other classes they offer . I hadn't noticed her lack of experience until a woman a bit older than her was my instructor one night. Her teaching was easier to understand, she was more helpful to the participants, she seemed to be paying attention to everyone's ability in certain moves and offering modified versions. I know Pilates can be expensive so if you already have an LA member ship it may be worth it, $99 a month for minimum 3 months, I liked it but just couldnt commit to the time and I was lacking certain physical abilities to where I can't keep up or do a lot without pain, not the classes fault, my own inabilities.
