Took my first official class yesterday and loved it! I've been to different barre3 locations, meet the owner (she's wonderful), and haven't been disappointed. The facility is clean, the childcare area ($5 to watch your kid is a steal!) is adorable, and the classes are challenging. I've been looking for a workout to do between my cardio and MMA adventures and I think this is it! These classes are beyond challenging, will tighten your booty and core, and make you look as graceful as possible doing so. I love how sore you feel after an awesome barre3 session. I also love how easy the online scheduling is. Definitely makes things easier for a mom on the go!

This place is my zen. The owner, Andrea Mason, is amazing. She also teaches classes and when she is there always makes a point of talking to everyone that comes in. The other instructors are wonderful too. Olya will kick your butt! Every instructor stops to help people in class, helping with postures and positiions, making sure we all get the most out of class. I love this because it not only helps keep me strong outside but inside too. Ive been going for over a year now and cant imagine not going. Currently we are doing a 7 day challenge. Im on day three and I sure can feel it! What makes Barre3 especially great is this is exercise for people of any age, weight and for pregnant women as well. It's low impact with many modifications for people who have joint pain or other issues. Ive seen girls bring their moms, I have classes with women in their 60s and girls in their early twenties and we all can keep pace with the instructor while maintaing our own pace as well. This has improved my posture, my muscle structure and my daily habits. The pricing is expensive but they have recently begun to offer student memberships in addition the varying options available for people who want to participate. I recommend everyone try it once bc it will have you coming back. They also have locations in Edmond and Midtown to make it accessible for everyone with classes starting as early as 6AM and as late as 7PM. They offer childcare in the front and the kids always seem so happy and having a good time.

Great full body work out with great instructors. It's nice because they cap the classes, so it never gets too crowded. Awesome atmosphere!

Core Pilates never fails to give me a good workout, I leave feeling accomplished after every class. This type of Pilates studio is great for those who are more intermediate/advanced in their Pilates practice, but they also have classes for beginners who may be trying out Pilates for the first time. The teachers also always give modifications for exercises if you have any injuries/alignment issues. Also can I just say that this is one of the cutest Pilates studios too!?! The atmosphere is very light, airy, and comforting. The environment makes the classes even more enjoyable. I love all the pink

The class was full but the instructor did a great job of walking around and making sure we were doing the exercises correctly. She did some of the more complicated moves so we could follow her. I've done Pilates several times and have enjoyed it but this one was really full body. We did some exercises where you had to think to keep all your arms and legs doing the correct things. I liked that. Its good to use your mind too. The exercises weren't too long so very doable. This class had people of every age in it. I think that's another reason I liked it. There was also a man in the class. It's a great workout so I don't know why more men don't come. I will be going back.

I suggest showing up about 15 minutes before class to get the rundown on the equipment if you're not familiar! My first few classes were so hard for me because I've been off the exercise wagon and I had never done Pilates. I was excited to try it because I have heard it's a lot easier on the joints. I wanted a multifaceted workout that wouldn't kill my feet, hands and wrists and this was perfect. Every time I went, I messed up all kinds of moves and they didn't bat an eye, just corrected my form and encouraged me to keep trying. I would walk out and evaluate how successful I felt I was at being able to complete every rep. At first it was, Arms-80%, Legs- 50%, Abs/core- 20%. After about 6 weeks of being able to attend classes 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, I've greatly improved. I'm now at; Arms-95%, Legs-75%, Abs/Core- 50%. I feel stronger, can see some muscle definition in my legs, arms and back. I like that this studio has all ages, shapes and sizes. The instructors are encouraging, the equipment is on par with what other Pilates studios have, they have cute grippy socks for purchase. It has a happy design, is bright, airy, and doesn't feel cramped.

Parking lot and the easiest entrance are both in the back of the building. They offer mostly hot yoga which was something I had been hesitant about in the past, but I really like the workout and the teachers I've had. They have a pretty regular schedule, so like Devin and Tailyn are some of my favorites, and you can really build a practice with a few teachers who know you if you go regularly. I also really like Rylie's barre classes. I went to BYB in Norman in 2019 and didn't super love the instructors and classes, but I really like the instructors here in OKC who are really lovely, caring, and motivating which makes all the difference with something as vulnerable as hot yoga, especially as someone who's never been really dedicated to her practice before. I will say that the studio isn't perfect, but they're all minor complaints. I know they just moved into it, but there's a slightly lifted plank in the floor that would be horrible to step on or have your mat on. Also, the heat lamps are really low, so it's killer if you end up underneath one (a great sweaty workout though if that's what you want). Finally, for the most part, the studio is private, but the door is clear glass, so I have seen people looking in a few times which is a little awkward. It's in a hallway, so people are passing by, and looking up to see someone looking at the class while you're doing downward facing dog isn't the best haha. I will say that I've never been in an overfull class in the two or three months I've been attending. I'm not sure what the cap is, but I've also always been able to book the classes I want, even 30 minutes before they start. I'm on the unlimited classes student deal for $100 a month, and it's a great motivation to put classes in my calendar and actually go. It's also helpful that it's not too far from my apartment, unlike a lot of the other exercise studios in the metro :) Thank you!

I thought I would walk in to a place that sold yoga pants and pushed ideology like "Get your Pilates Body!!!" and "this one's a good cellulite killer". But to my complete shock, this was mainly all about movement education. Now, let me clear about that: It can be a VERY hard workout. It can also be about prepping your muscles and unwinding stupid patterns I've gotten myself into so that I can do what used to come easily for me. Let me give you my best example out of MANY: I started having MAJOR lower back pain. Out of the blue. It went on for several weeks. And so I went in and told my instructor and she did a deliberately slow and thoughtful analysis of my movement, when things irritated me, when movement soothed me. And she finally said, "There's basically nothing wrong with your back. But your hips are SUPER tight." And I was like, "What's that got to do with my back?" (I didn't vocalize this) And so she gave me a bunch homework and movement I was required to do at home. Let me pause here to say, I'm a 32 year old dude, with no injuries or weight problems or limitations in my mobility. IF you saw me, you would think I was healthy and in shape. Now, after a week of this homework for my hips, my back started to feel less strain. Then after two to three weeks, I only felt the pain in the mornings. Then after a month, it was completely gone. Then I stopped doing the homework . . . and guess what . . . it all came back. So, take that for what it's worth. I've lost 10 lbs and I'm also constantly realizing how much more fluidly I live my life. Bending down to pick up a shoe used to be a stretch for me. Not anymore. Neck and shoulder pain plagued me in my early 20's when I sat at a computer desk all day. That's been gone for over a year now. I feel younger and more agile than I did 10 years ago. And I can see it in other people that they are not taking any time to maintain and repattern their movements as they get into their 30's --- so I expect to see a lot of my friends getting surgery when they honestly just need to be moving with the gifted instructors at this studio.
