The kids camp programs are amazing and it really feels like privet lessons from people who know what they are doing. You will get frustrated at the start and if you have never ridden any type of bored I would be careful. The only way you get going in a place like this is having an ok balance and you know how to listen. I praise the operators because they are fun and laid back but know how to teach and do their job. Coal is one of my favorite and he has taught kids that I didn't think had a chance getting around the cable. They are such good people and even though I only see them one week out of the year, they still make the effort to remember me and continue to teach me new things. Kids camp is amazing and it's where I learned everything. It's where you should learn to start because they have the cable slowed down and they make it fee more like a one on one session with each kid there. This place will put strain on your body and will make you feel sore every where. If you have never ridden cable get ready for a full body work out. It is the best way to push your body and the more you do it the stronger you feel. This entire facility is family owned and they make you feel like family. Wether you have a rockstar crazy attitude or a laid back chill one, there is most likely an operator there who you can connect with. The reason I give this place a 4 star is for 2 reasons. The first is the features. There used to be more but over time they were left to rot off to the side where no one can hit them. There is a large group of regulars that would love to see more but it just hasn't happened. Reason 2 is the lack of bordes. The rentals are good but they are old and could use a little bit of work. There are no bordes for sale here witch is weird because no other store in the state sells cable bordes or bindings. These negatives don't take away from a new riders experience though. It's only the experienced riders who are used to mega ramps are 20ft rails who will notice.

The tickets were not very expensive at all and the park itself had so much to do for as small of an area it was located. What does get you of course is the typical merchandise shops and the food. But that's typical. Some of the rides were very well kept and lines weren't that long. A nice place to definitely bring your younger kids to enjoy and nothing too dangerous. A lot of rides had to be switched and waited on bc of their lack of employees. But overall I would take my kids back for a cheap eventful park adventure. Now we locals can tell them, you must be thinking of Kansas. We've got Flat Tide! Flat Tide brings their truck of stand up paddle boards (SUP) to Lake Overholser every morning. They provide very cool classes on Intro SUP, Eco Tours, Yoga, and SUP boot camp. I bet you didn't know that Overholser has a network of streams to the north of the lake. There is so much cool stuff to see. It's very cool to go bird watching on a paddle board. The SUP boards are very easy to maneuver. You don't have to get into the water unless you want to. And you may want to! I stuck my legs off the board and splashed myself because it was getting hot doing a work out on the board. Melissa, owner of the Shape Project, taught the boot camp work it class. It was definitely a challenge. Just a warning to those who get motion sickness, you may want to be careful. I was a little dizzy by the time we started doing squats on the boards. You can rent the boards for $15/hour or participate in a class. Families can share boards, which I thought was awesome. You can get a large board and put you and a younger child on the board with you. Or a dog! I think I might bring my dog next time and see how he likes it. Flat Tide also provides life vests that come in fanny packs. (You pull the cord to inflate the vest in an emergency)

Instead not only did they introduce me to everyone who worked there, they offered tips, instruction and even took me on a tour in the lake. Everyone there was extremely welcoming and friendly. Eric was another great guy who worked their and even gave me tips on how to improve my efficiency and speed when on the board. Not only are they great owners, but they are all genuine friends. If you have not paddle boarded before or just want to have a great time, I highly recommend FLAT TIDE! Also the SUP Yoga class taught by Kerry was FANTASTIC! We were all getting limber, hanging out and goofing off! I thoroughly enjoyed my time hanging out with this incredible group!
