He literally started yelling at me saying this would not work and I was totally blown away. Never had a professional company spoke to me this way. I asked him not to yell at me and he hung up on me. I had reached out to Randy and his firm based on a referral. We booked time for a specific date and time as my calendar is very full and typically I have back to back meetings. Randy no showed for the meeting and did not even reach out. When I reached out he said he was on another call. I get that I am a new potential client but he could have at least notified me he would be late but instead I had to reach out. When he finally called me he was rude and arrogant. He did not feel my business was worth it and told me up front he would not do business with me - he would not do business with me because I asked him why he could not have told me he was late. He then began yelling at me and then just hung up. Is this how people behave - what happen to professionals? I would avoid this firm at all cost. Right now their phone numbers do not work and when you get a vm it is full - even when you tell them its full, they do nothing. If you are going to be late you let your client or potential client know. You apologize and not yell at the client because the client is upset for your behavior.

I've been dealing with an extremely difficult situation with my employer, a public agency, retaliating against me and my coworkers after we uncovered/reported fraud, waste, and abuse. It has been beyond stressful going up against an agency with unlimited resources, and finding an attorney willing to even look at the facts has been incredibly hard. My meeting with Shay Shower and attorneys Aaron Maduff and Niki Hakimzadeh, felt like the first real moment of hope I'd had in months. They listened, (I thought) took my situation seriously, and committed to taking my case. They even started to get me excited about the future, saying they would get me a settlement, and encouraging me to go back to law school. I wish I hadn't, but unfortunately, I let myself believe them and get excited. I relied on their commitment. They said a retainer agreement would be sent, but instead of following through, they stopped responding, and when I finally did get a reply, I was told they were traveling and would get back to me. As my friend put it, "What, every single person in their firm capable of drafting/sending a retainer agreement is traveling at the exact same time?" I still decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, because surely if something had changed, they would just communicate that to me, as the ARDC requires, right? Wrong. The next thing I received was a formal non‑representation email claiming their workload was too high to take on any new cases, even though they were still scheduling new consultations and telling other potential clients they were accepting new matters. No real explanation, no feedback, no transparency, just the standard useless non-representation email, which they sent different versions of, at least, 4 times. After leading me on for days, and then bombarding me with non-representations emails, they couldn't even be bothered to provide a referral to another firm or let me know what happened. Being dropped without any explanation left me with few options and in an even worse situation than before. I paused intakes with other firms because I believed I finally had representation. Instead, I was left without answers at a moment when I needed stability the most. Had they simply communicated promptly and honestly, that would have been understandable. Instead, they misled me, left me in the dark, and treated my crisis as if it didn't matter. If you are in a vulnerable position and need a firm that stands by its word, follows through on commitments, and understands the impact their decisions have on people's lives, I would recommend choosing a different firm, as Barrett & Farahany clearly don't take those responsibilities seriously. Not to mention, their contingency fee was the highest of ANY firm I spoke with, and based on my experience with them, definitely not worth it. You can find someone better for less. I did, and I couldn't be happier with the attorneys at Jeffrey Law Office. They have been so responsive, helpful, and transparent, and their retainer fee is 1/3. I would strongly suggest trying to find another firm and only going with this one as a last resort. read more

If I could give a negative review, I would. I chose this firm for an employment case after considering other options because they assured me of their support and commitment. Over a year and a half, I provided substantial evidence and endured an exhaustive deposition covering personal details of my life. We had even reached the point of settlement offers. However, after one of my primary attorneys was terminated, the firm abruptly dropped me as a client without offering any alternative representation within their team. At this stage, after their extensive involvement, it's nearly impossible to find another firm willing to take on my case, which has essentially been rendered unworkable due to their lack of diligence. I even offered to assist with motions, as I have some experience, hoping they might finish what they started, but they declined. As a single mother unable to work for over a year, I relied on their commitment, and I am deeply disappointed by their lack of empathy and professionalism. Their actions have left me in an incredibly difficult position, and I urge others to consider this experience when seeking reliable representation. read more
