The washrooms and showers were okay just make sure to bring your own personal hygiene products as there wasn't even any soap in the washrooms. There was a live DJ Saturday night which unfortunately I didn't get to see but by the sounds of things was also pretty good! If you're looking to get away for a weekend and enjoy a cheap party/camping experience with friends this is definitely the place! The place itself is pretty nice, very big, lots of trees and decently clean bathrooms and showers. Every site has a huge garbage can, which is emptied every morning and a fire pit. They sell firewood and ice at the front, where there is also a beach volleyball setup and basketball court. It is a 5 minute walk to a 24 hour grocery store, and the Walmart (in case you forget your tent. *cough*.) It's probably a 20 minute walk to the beach, but we drove because we didn't want to drag all our stuff there. They do everything to make sure everyone has a good time. From 9pm-12am, they have a tent set up with music and laser lights for a dance party. Let me tell you, dancing on soft sand is AWESOME! At 10pm, a car from Dominos comes, selling large pizzas at $10 each. At midnight, music has to be turned off, but most parties go on until dawn with no hassle from the Party Police. When we left, the friendly girl at the front suggested that we visit their Facebook page and tag ourselves in the pics that they took at the dance tent. Everyone who works there was friendly, which can't be easy seeing as their entire clientele is made up of drunk partiers. My only complaint has more to do with the other campers than the campsite, and has a LOT to do with the difference in ages. It's been a long time since I could party all night and wake up at 9am and party some more. Nowadays, blasting music out of my car in the morning (MORNING!) after a big booze down is too ridiculous a concept to imagine. The average person who goes there is in their early 20s, and from the Kitchener/Waterloo area, it seems. Other than the loud mornings, this was totally fine, as everyone is very laid back and just out for a nice time. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a camping experience they will never remember!

After verbally confirming over the telephone with someone that they will reserve a cottage/cabin for you, you have to go to TD bank and put the deposit (in cash) into their account. You then write to their email address to confirm you put the deposit in their account. Once you get there and pay (cash), everyone is given a bracelet they have to wear for the duration of their stay. Extra people cost extra money. Check out is a bit early (10am I believe?) but you can often leave your car their for the day after you've checked out. If you're looking for somewhere to stay with a group of friends in Wasaga Beach, this is a great option.

I didn't do enough research myself and brought more stuff than required. The only real stuff u need would be food and drinks (booze) and also if u want cream in your coffee. Everything else u need to provided. My brother was super psyched because fire starters, kindling and tons of wood is available. U can start the fire outside or inside. They have 4 chairs provided outside but I brought my own as well. Everything else u can research. Such as the sauna or horseback riding. Would be 5 stars if there were more options on stuff to do or eat. But overall it's a wonderful experience and would recommend for sure.

They showed us a trail, the sauna, and gave us a little orientation in our dome as to how to operate everything. It was so cute and cozy in there. The kitchenette is great and has everything you need. I was worried I wouldn't be warm enough but the temperature was great and I was even hot in the middle of the night. They are available 24 hrs and respond quickly via text if you need anything.

There are a couple of day-use lots on the outside of the actual park for locals to use, I don't believe you can drive into the park proper to use it for day use. At the time we visited, Orillia was close to peak color, so it was a fantastic time. It was a nice day for a hike, and there were quite a few other people using the park as well -- there's a little beach area in the day use part as well as a playground and places for taking your dog on leash. We went and followed the trails in the park, there seems to be a few that can be used, one in the treeline and one along the lake. You can make a decent little loop of a couple of kilometers. There's nothing incredibly challenging about this little hike, to be honest, but the tree colors make for some gorgeous photos. I'll definitely want to come back and visit here and go camping during the season. A really lovely provincial park!

Close range to Toronto, top tier snow machines, great runs…read more This is where I choose to frequent my winter snowboard season, as it's close enough for a 1.5 hour drive to get on the slopes. Their snow making machines are the top notch ones, they really spent a pretty penny for this and their investment shows since there's hardly ever any icy runs, mainly snowy ones. They're quick to start their snow machines early for the season to ensure they have a perfect snow base for the rest of the season - this is why they're always busy, because people know they have good runs here! Purchase your lift tickets online rather than in person, since it's about $15 cheaper even on the day of. The bonus here is the beaver tail cart at the base of Moonstone that you can get your sweet treat at at the end of the day.

Level up on these slopes!…read more MSLM or Mt St. Louis Moonstone is where our family learned to ski and while it's an intermediate level hill, it does have some of the best snow conditions in Ontario. That's because MSLM features 36 slopes down two adjacent mountains, with plenty of snowmaking equipment and lifts. On the one hand, the slopes here can get packed with passholders depending on the time of week. However the slopes are generally wide and there are plenty of easy black diamond slopes to work your way down. These sometimes get icy and choppy after a long day but the slopes are usually well-groomed and you might find yourself skiing through the snow gun mist. On the positive, there are plenty of lifts including Ontario's first 8-seater chairlift equipped with heated seats and automatic safety bars. They also have lift gate entry RFID scans and cafeteria checkout for efficiency. There are moguls and two terrain parks, including a smaller one for beginners. One slope is colourfully lit. While the experience here isn't that of a sprawling ski village, you can tell the owners prided in the pure European skiing spirit. In the past decade MSLM added night skiing with plenty of lighting on over 20 slopes and we've always enjoyed this experience perhaps even more so than day skiing here due to the slightly smaller crowd. Note there tends to be many ski instructors and many demographics on the slopes due to the reputation for good snow conditions as outdoor recreation has boomed. A day here costs around double that of entry ski resorts. Location-wise, it is conveniently off of Hwy 400. Skip it or hit it? We'll be back again as it's one of the better options in Ontario.

Many promises were made that were not kept by the office people and they did not make it feel like a safe space. As well as things that were supposed to be confidential were spread which is extremely unprofessional on the HR departmenta part. Overall not treating staff with respect and showing appreciation for hard work and dedication to the company. the staff accommodations are dirty, gross, and smell. the staff meals are sometimes undercooked and reused food and it is not good. so many complaints about working there. I recommend if you are considering working at Fern Resort. DON'T you will feel unappreciated and will go nowhere
