One told us he had only been working as a mover for two days. They also repeatedly said they were not provided the equipment needed to work efficiently -- only one dolly and no proper way to protect mirrors or TVs -- so several items were not moved at all. Since we were paying by the hour, I don't believe we should be responsible for extra time caused by the company failing to properly equip its crew. My wife and I ended up moving a large portion of our belongings ourselves just to keep things moving. Everything was already packed and ready to go, and even after picking up items from storage, the 26-foot truck was only about 3/4 full. Despite that, they estimated another 3.5 hours just to unload and initially quoted us around $1,800. They finished around 2:30 PM but attempted to record the finish time as 3:00 PM, which I had to dispute. I still paid about $1,300. The damage was even worse. My wife's brand-new entry table was broken after my heavy workbench was not properly secured in the truck and shifted during transit. Our brand-new mattress and box springs were left covered in dirt and stains because they were not wrapped or protected properly. Several dishes were also broken, and there was damage to the walls and stairs in our brand-new home. What should have made our move easier left us doing much of the work ourselves and spending the entire weekend finishing the move while caring for two toddlers. For the price we paid, I expected a trained, properly equipped crew that could move our belongings safely and efficiently. That is not what we received. I would not use All My Sons again and would not recommend them to friends or family.

I find it hard to believe that as two-time customers this company completely ignored - stonewalled…read more- multiple attempts to get some sort of resolution or even an APOLOGY for our botched move September 2024. We sent three detailed messages stating issues to zero response to date (5 months). Specifically as promised on their website. "guaranteed prices" and "guaranteed moving dates" and "High-quality protection to keep each item from harm during transit." The failures include: * Failure to meet specified contract requirements by not meeting the "guaranteed moving dates" specified in our contract. After moving about half of our belongings, the company, instead of coming back the next day to finish, left the second half sitting for OVER A WEEK - 9 DAYS past the promised completion date. This created major hardship and inconvenience due to the necessity to commute 1.5 hours round trip at minimum daily in order to be able to work. * Exceeding their final estimate by $935 with full payment required before the truck would leave our belongings, despite the final tally of items the company moved being way less than what was counted in the estimate. And once supposedly "complete," they also left almost all the patio furniture, deck boxes, and a lot of miscellaneous items and wall hangings for us to have someone move later on (entailing a crew of 3 and multiple pickup truck loads). With the move being split over THREE WEEKS, we brought back at the crew boss' suggestion a number of expensive moving boxes that were supposed to have also saved us considerable money by using them twice. We saw no evidence of that in the bill. * Unnecessary damage to household goods due to the movers/packers being so rushed and stressed they just wrapped and moved large heavy items with their contents inside.... Badly damaging a 30-year-old quality office desk that had come through 2 previous moves in perfect condition, for one example. If your move date is important to you and you are counting on a bill close to the estimate, I would go elsewhere.

I was able to purchase tarps and plastic to protect the furniture for the most part, and only had minor rust stains that I was able to clean off. We paid extra to get our stuff delivered by a certain date & I had received a call that that wasn't going to happen, once I called UPack they were able to arrange the drop off in time. I would have liked pick up to be sooner but they only run on certain days- usually Tuesdays and Thursdays. I would recommend calling the local office wherever you are to expedite this, as using the online pick up/drop off request takes longer.

Day of at noon i call for an estimated time frame. They say ill get an hours notice Driver calls 10-15 min out. Im at work. Email says to arrange pickup at dropoff. I ask the driver. He says they dont do sat pickup (it's Thursday). I ask if he can come back the next day at the latest time (which is extremely inconvenient) but i dont have a choice really. He says yes. I ask if it will be him. He says most likely he will call between 330-4:30. My wonderful now exhausted parents work as hard as they can since i have to work to have it ready to go by 4:30. At 4 i call the driver, pods ready, he says "ok great ill let them know". 5 rolls around 5:10 rolls around I call driver back, oh youll have to call the main office im not on pickup. I try. Office closed at 5. I call customer service just to repeatedly be told the same thing. Nothing they can do til Monday. Implying i made it up. No sense of yes we're going to fix this If you need things to actually happen. These arnt your people

From the moment I first spoke to them until I closed the door behind the men who did the actual moving, they were great. I felt a ton of relief after Ms Siegel came out to do the moving estimate, she actually walked around and explained how each room's belongings would be packaged and how long it would take. She was knowledgable, courteous and very professional but more importantly super accurate! (She even designed a game plan for us, to help us stay on track with our gargantuan moving endeavor) needless to say, our move took an entire day. The moving men stayed pleasant, with a smile on their face all along and were polite about having to re arrange things. Even on the 10th hour of moving boxes, I'd give them 5 stars but we all know life is all about room for improvement.
