Scheduling with All My Sons went smoothly, but the actual move was the worst moving experience we've had. The two movers assigned to us were extremely slow and inefficient. One told us he had only been working as a mover for two days. They also repeatedly said they were not provided the equipment needed to work efficiently -- only one dolly and no proper way to protect mirrors or TVs -- so several items were not moved at all. Since we were paying by the hour, I don't believe we should be responsible for extra time caused by the company failing to properly equip its crew. My wife and I ended up moving a large portion of our belongings ourselves just to keep things moving. Everything was already packed and ready to go, and even after picking up items from storage, the 26-foot truck was only about 3/4 full. Despite that, they estimated another 3.5 hours just to unload and initially quoted us around $1,800. They finished around 2:30 PM but attempted to record the finish time as 3:00 PM, which I had to dispute. I still paid about $1,300. The damage was even worse. My wife's brand-new entry table was broken after my heavy workbench was not properly secured in the truck and shifted during transit. Our brand-new mattress and box springs were left covered in dirt and stains because they were not wrapped or protected properly. Several dishes were also broken, and there was damage to the walls and stairs in our brand-new home. What should have made our move easier left us doing much of the work ourselves and spending the entire weekend finishing the move while caring for two toddlers. For the price we paid, I expected a trained, properly equipped crew that could move our belongings safely and efficiently. That is not what we received. We had our apartment pretty much boxed up and packed and ready to go. The three hours they showed up or nice and told me they were going to try to save us money. The guy on the phone then calls and tell us the move is not worth our budget and they didn't wanna leave our apartment half full. I feel like this company is a scam. My wife and I just moved from Gastonia down to Inman, South Carolina. She discussed with Tommy the move in detail and also discussed how we had some furniture stored at a separate location which would need to be picked up. The truck they sent was not large enough. It only had just a couple of square left for the storage items left in the truck so moving the other materials was out of the question. They got to Inman and demanded to be paid or they wouldn't wouldn't unload and it would be another $900 from them to bring the items from the storage building down. Three weeks ago we learned that my 98 yer old mother in laws assisted living center was closing down. We secured another facilty 3 miles away. My wife stated you are not going to move her heavy items as i has just some stints placed into my heart (all is great). I started to call around and only used google reviews as my only source of information on movers(first mistake) I called all my sons and stated I had 4 to 5 pieces of furniture and needed them moved by 17th of August. I was told no issues. We placed our 100 deposit down and waited til 17th. At first we had the night before call from the south CLT office that we would be afternoon pickup and move. The day of the move i was told between 12 pm and 3 pm This is where the problems started. I was called by the driver that they would be around 430 around 530 i called ad was told by the south clt manager one of the team members quit. At that point they cancelled the move. I asked what to do about 98 year old mother inlaw sitting on her wheel chair for 3 hours late no chair for night or bed. I got impression that no other help would be given. I was forced to asked for help at assisted living center for a person who could help I had to move her in myself with help on 103 heat This was bull shit. I suspect that they will place a canned reply in yelp stating we are learning from our mistakes and we cannot control disgruntled personal. I scheduled a moved 5/29/2026 for 6/28/2026 and they told me they would be at my home by that morning 8:30-9 .Around 9 am , someone reached out to me and shared that they would be out around 12 pm , they they had staffing issues for the Fayetteville location therefore once the Raleigh staff finish a job they will come to Fayetteville to complete my move . Well at 12 , no one showed up but I received a call stated that they had to cancel , that no one would be able to come today and that they would refund me my money, I lost 800 dollars in wages because i had to take off a day of work and then pay 300 for someone to help me and my son move . i also had to rent a truck for the move cost me over 1000.00 for the inconvenience they cost me after doing the totals. read more

I was very clear (to estimator and moving crew) about the large items I wanted to have moved. These were beds, furniture, desks etc. The movers filled the truck with boxes not intended for that house, and left most of the specified items behind. So now I'm stuck moving boxes to a storage unit, and furniture to my new home. My response from the company was a $100 discount. I would strongly recommend against using this company. During my move on February 22, 2026, the movers damaged my solid wood West Elm dining table (original purchase price approximately $1,299), leaving a deep gouge in the tabletop. They also damaged a door in my rental property, resulting in a $150 charge from my landlord. I was also disappointed by the packing quality. Plates were wrapped in paper towels rather than proper packing materials, heavy pans were packed on top of glassware, and items were placed into boxes with little regard for organization or their intended rooms. The claims process was even more frustrating than the move itself. Despite purchasing Full Value Protection coverage, I was initially offered only $150 for the damaged table and given 48 hours to respond. After I objected, the claims representative advised me to obtain a professional repair estimate for review. I did exactly that and submitted a repair estimate from a qualified furniture repair company totaling approximately $1,500. Because the repair cost exceeded both the company's $150 offer and the original value of the table, I requested that the claim be treated as a replacement-value claim. The company declined to revise its position and stated only that the table was "deemed reparable" by its claims specialist and that the offer was based on "similar damage" payouts. Despite multiple requests, I was not provided with a competing repair estimate, inspection report, valuation methodology, or other documentation supporting the $150 figure. I also repeatedly requested management review and was told my request had been forwarded, but I never received a substantive response. All My Sons Moving is hands down one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. We booked a local move in Charlotte from a condo to our first home and gave them a detailed list of about 30 large items two days in advance. We even asked about adding a third mover to make things smoother, and their consulting team assured us it wasn't necessary--completely wrong. On moving day, everything went downhill. Dispatch sent the crew to the wrong location and didn't even have the correct phone number on file. Because of their mistake, they almost canceled our move entirely despite us already paying a deposit. That alone should tell you how disorganized they are. We were quoted for a 6-hour job, but it dragged out to 12 hours--and that's only because I had to jump in along with my dad, father-in-law, and wife to help move things along. Without us, this easily would've turned into a two-day job. That's unacceptable for a "professional" moving company. To make matters worse, when they finally arrived at our new house, they refused to even open the truck until we paid them on the spot. The total came out to nearly $2,200--far beyond what was expected--and they refused to take any responsibility or offer reimbursement for their earlier mistakes. The supervisor was rude, unprofessional, and clearly didn't care about the situation. While the movers themselves weren't terrible, they worked at an incredibly slow pace, which only added to the frustration and cost. I chose All My Sons at Northpark Blvd in Charlotte NC, because of their reputation for good customer service. They requested a video call to give an accurate estimate of how many movers and trucks we would need. When their estimate came in (5 movers, 3 trucks and 7 hours) we thought that seemed a bit much but we deferred to their experience. I am giving them 2 stars because they did arrive on time, they generally protected our furniture and homes, The team leader was polite enough and the initial customer service was good - up until moving day. Things we had problems with: 1) The 5 movers were very disorganized and inefficient. This meant they couldn't load all the furniture we requested and during unloading they still went more than 2 hours past their own unloading estimate. When my husband found items in incorrect rooms, they failed to put them in correct rooms, despite repeated requests. We are still finding clearly labeled boxes and furniture in the wrong rooms. 2) The movers used my husband's tools without his permission and still did not assemble the items they were using the tools on correctly. 3) The amount of truck space was mis-estimated. The second truck had barely anything in it. Perhaps because they didn't load all they said they would, but that second truck was expensive. 4) Despite expressing concerns they damaged several items and dented our basement ceiling. 5) And finally, I reached out to them 3 times to try to resolve the issues. Each time they set up a call, which I rearranged my work schedule to take, and then ghosted me. We delayed finishing our move almost 2 weeks because we hoped they would make things right, but they failed repeatedly to communicate. In the end, after paying them over $3k for an incomplete move, my husband and I still had to rent a uhaul to finish our move. Not only were the movers unprofessional, i.e. utilizing drugs on my premises & begging for a tip, which I was going to give anyway, but I was left feeling very uncomfortable when placed on the spot to do it. On top of that and most importantly, they broke or damaged almost every single item that they moved in some way, shape or form. Do not give these people your credit card information. I paid for packers. Two of them spent all their time packing dishes that my wife told them not to pack. After they wasted a lot of time, they said they were out of packing paper and boxes they would have to leave. I was told packers would come back with the movers and finish packing. This was not true. I lived in a two-story house. All My SONS came to move me with a box truck. They quickly filled the box truck with about half my downstairs furniture and a few pieces of lawn furniture. I was then told I would have to schedule another move because the small truck was full. After renting trucks from U-HAUL twice and friends with a large truck I was finally able to get moved. I called to set up for a move I was quoted 1 price then a few days later I called back to confirm bc didn't receive a call I was suppose to get. For your sake avoid using All My Sons. Used them for an in town move. When I originally called I was assured they could move all of my items and the movers would not leave until all items were placed in the final rooms and assembled. Move was scheduled for the afternoon. I called at 2:00 to reconfirm because I had not heard a peep. Was told they were finishing their first move at 2:30 and heading directly to my place with an ETA of 3:00. They arrived at 4:45. Upon I arrival I asked twice if they were going to be able to finish the same day and was assured they would. When they started packing I was told they would not move the treadmill (even though I previously asked about this) and a grandfather clock. They left a long gouge and multiple dents in a wall in originating house. They also ran out of room and did not pack smaller pieces of furniture or lamps. The real issue happened when we arrived at the destination. Prior to unloading anything I had to pay in full and sign paperwork that said nothing was damaged (even though they hadn't unloaded a single item). Immediately after my payment cleared they told us they didn't have time to unload into the house and we're going to leave everything in the garage (leaving my 83 year old mother and I to move it into a 2 story house). We talked them into at least moving the sofa into the house, which I regret. They gouged a door frame (images below), marred freshly painted walls, and tore fabric on the sofa. We had to stop them and instruct them to take the legs off the sofa, so it would fit through the doorway. I would actively discourage anyone from moving with this company. Absolutely AWFUL. I really wish we had read reviews prior to scheduling. When we called and described our moving situation, we were told that based on the items we needed moved and the distance, they'd doubt it would be $300, $500 max. We had 2 dressers, 3 nightstands, 1 side table, 1 mirror, 2 bed frames, broken down and by the door already. 1 small, light box. No living room, no dining room, no kitchen items, no clothing boxes, no nothing asides listed. From a 1000 sq ft apartment. Moving 0.7 miles down the road. Ended up paying $1300+. One of the guys even ended up sitting on my couch and asking me to carry something down to the truck myself. I told the second guy and was told "yeah, he's really good at wrapping though...". This company as a whole is out to trick you and rob your wallet. Also a tip: if you are a woman, make sure you have a man present with you if possible, they begin to work twice as hard and fast once a male shows up. When we called the company back to complain, as polite and apologetic as the employee we spoke with was, we were told they were completely unable to help us and told over and over that our haul sounds like it should have taken 6 hours and that is realistic to them. I booked them over a month ahead and was quoted an 8 AM move. They charged my card, but never sent a confirmation email. I had to call back to confirm everything (twice), and still didn't get a time in writing. A week before, they told me I'd now be second in line, arriving "after 10 AM." Not ideal, but fine. On move day? Crickets. I had to call them every couple of hours just to get updates: 1 PM, then 3, then 4... They finally arrived at 5:15 PM after wasting our entire day. The crew looked exhausted and were complaining about the last job. They walked through the apartment and went to "get supplies", and instead I got a call from the office saying they wouldn't do the move because it was "too much." (Everything was already boxed and partially moved!) I told them I had been quoted 8 AM and had a lease ending the next day. The office guy called me a liar, saying I was "always" an afternoon move. Our items were covered in red mud, glass tables broken, computer screens damaged, furniture damaged. They also held our items hostage over night in their truck because they said their time ran out. They left items when they had to go at our new house with the bed frame unmade, the crib not put back together. They also made me sleep in the floor while I was pregnant. They are the laziest group of people and have will hire anyone they see on the streets. They have a terrible business going on at this facility and they know it. Don't go with these guys. We were originally told 8-10 am arrival time. We were never notified of a truck issue that was making them late. Once 12pm rolled around we called, were promised a call back and never got it. This happened 3 more times over the next few hours. They finally showed up around 3 or 4pm. We've gotten a chance now to check through our things and we have several items, including family items that were passed down to me, completely shattered. Our brand new floors ended up gouged out by the dollies. Our brand new white couch now has multiple dirt spots and one of the main cushions is torn from the seam. They did not offer a discount, nor did i receive one when I asked for it while settling the final payment. This review is more so geared towards the company rather than the guys themselves. From start to finish, working with All My Sons was a nightmare. They were rude, condescending and negligent. Their inexperienced crew damaged our home And our belongings, and then loaded the truck incorrectly, causing the weight to be distributed unevenly. This resulted in our load being "overweight", resulting in the need to offload items of their choosing- bikes, tools, stereo equipment and more (interestingly items that they could sell if we didn't play their game to get our items back). This is a common scam movers run. They stored our items and tried to exploit us to pay even more to get them back. They violated federal laws by not providing a detailed inventory and in doing so, were responsible for a higher value of replacement since the items were damaged from them loading and offloading multiple times to store them. When you try to talk to them, they are rude. The claims process as a joke. They don't answer email and then send a random offer without explanation (only got a response after multiple calls). I have more questions and they ghosted me. I emailed the CEO without any response. I'm not surprised. I'm sure she's busy with others whose rights have been violated but these scammers. They attempted to call me to "confirm" yesterday afternoon, and unfortunately I didn't see the vm until this morning. We're supposed to move in an hour. Pasting the vm transcription below.
