I asked the agent in this office to update our policy to reflect the deed, and send me the updated policy. A week later she said she's still working on it. One more week later and I leave a voice mail to please contact me about the change. No reply. I called the office, was transferred to voicemail, which is full, so decided to visit but no one is there today (see photos). I called MAPFRE to see if the policy was ever changed. They said it is still in the original name. They said I can change to another MAPFRE agent and continue with the same policy. Will do, service could not possibly be as bad as with this office.

When my hubs & I first moved to New England, we hit up AAA in Rockland for car insurance and renters, mostly because it seemed like the easiest way to get reasonably good insurance quickly. We also had business with the RMV and wanted to get everything wrapped up quickly. Unfortunately, the person who created our policy for us at AAA made typos on the policy that almost certainly would have caused drama had we ever had a wreck, including citing my name as "Kristin" under named drivers on the policy... bill to Rachel, but cover Kristin's driving record?! Nice job, AAA. Needless to say, I decided to shop around a little for a different policy- and agent- and ended up Googling. I found BJ Kirby right in Whitman center, and figured I'd give them a shout. I emailed in and Stephen was working for me right away, getting me a comparable quote quickly. He was nice enough to handle 99% of the process for me via email, which I really appreciated. All told, I think he saved us about $400 for the year. Not bad! And he knows my name isn't Kristin, so that's cool too.

I returned home to Whitinsville and straight to Wiersma. In that one year communicating, I told Wayne MULTIPLE times I DID NOT want Plymouth Rock and told him why. He assured me that he would be my go between and not to worry. He also said that he increased items on the policy for a lower price than what I was paying. Actually, he increased one thing and lowered 4 items, one went from $150K to $60K. This is for replacing personal items. I cannot replace everything in my house for that amount. He also said that if I don't use the online interaction with Plymouth Rock that they would charge me $30.00 to get a paper policy. I just received both car/home policies. He charged my CC for both policies in full, but neglected to tell me that if I cancel the policies, Plymouth Rock will charge me (but told me about the $30 to print a policy). Also, after telling him how pissed off I was about the bad information he did not supply, I said I wanted to cancel the policies. He said that once I get a new insurance company, it will take two weeks for them to get my money back, and it will not be back on my CC, they will send me a link to print out my own check on regular paper. He has washed his hands now and doesn't help me get my money back in the manner in which HE TOOK IT. So if I switch I will have $6000.00 tied up in insurance for a minimum of two weeks because of Wayne Wierma LEARN FROM ME, STAY AWAY.
