In stead, he referred me to a dermatologist. However, I never got the referral. I had to make my own appointment with another dermatologist. I also had a stress test scheduled and was never notified by either e-mail or text message of the date and time and confirm the appointment. 20th century office. I had to fill out 5 pages of background with paper and pen on a clipboard. Who does that anymore? He has all the equipment for testing that is convenient but getting the results is nearly impossible. When you ask for records to be sent to the hospital { Flagler Hospital has banned him from practicing }, or other specialists it takes for ever or Not at all. Getting through to any one is difficult at best. Even though we have been patients there for years they told us we were considered new patients and they could not make an appointment. When asked for records they said it would cost us for each page. A neighbor who was elderly used him for 10 plus years, went in to see the Dr. Kelsey for swollen legs & only got to see his PA Alex. They sent him home with water pills 2 weeks later he was DEAD. You would be better off with a Veterinarian than this Dr's office.

This review concerns Dr. Krishna Sikaria of this 'Center': Having just left this office with my…read morehusband, perhaps we are still too stunned by the bedside manner of this doctor; but, hopefully, others may be spared. This doctor assumed my husband's care when he was admitted to ICU with an arrhythmia. I had difficulty getting this doctor to respond to my questions re: my husband's well-being, so that should have been Clue #1. After being home for a few weeks, we again saw Dr. Sikaria in his office. He was rushed, and came across to me as blunt and rather rude. My husband was still ill enough to not remember a lot of the visit, so I thought, 'Maybe the doctor was just having a rushed, bad day; although, certainly no excuse for his unprofessional behavior." Clue #2 Today, the third visit, my husband had questions re: his diagnosis and treatment. This doctor treats that with disdain, pure and simple. If not that, then he is smirking at you like you are either an idiot to ask that question, or just wasting his time. Counseling was ALL that was needed at this appt. No med refill, no EKG,....the doctor listened to his chest for about 5 sec. Then, proceeded to answer our questions with sarcasm or, as I said, disdain, for even bothering to ask. We were stunned. The doctor then got up and left the room. My husband said, "That's it?? We paid for this....for the lack of respect and no answers to questions?" Dr. Sikaria may very likely know the clinical aspects of medicine....I don't know. I DO know he is very rude and feels patients are taking up too much of his time. So, we will not be returning. As a nurse, it saddens me to see healthcare reduced to this. My husband is scared and legitimately concerned about his future health. For this doctor to speak to him like he did....unbelievable. The wait was long in the waiting room and the examining table was dirty. Just added to the overall bad experience here. SO glad there are other cardiac specialists in the area....

I think if you are looking for a doctor to hold your hand and cry with you, this is not the way to go. But if you are looking for a doctor with experience who knows what he's doing and can treat you right, definitely visit the Heart Center. We are extremely grateful; Dr. Sikaria saved my uncle's life.

She has fallen 4 times in the last 5 days and he wanted them to check her out and maybe admit her for observation. She had a small cut and bruising on her right arm. He patched that up and discharged her. We waited an hour after the nurse told us she was discharged and we disagreed for him to come back somewhat agitated and loud. He eventually ordered blood work, urinalysis and somewhat later a CT scan of her brain. So eventually the right thing but much disconnect between patient, nurse and doctor. I'm sure he's very good but communication broke down here tonight.

But some months later, I returned for a different issue. Much to my surprise, the horrific Dr. Miguel Machado appeared. This was the guy who saw me at the old Flagler ER. He's a retired neurosurgeon who is blatantly macho and sexist. My first encounter w/ him was a disaster--he was too busy being contemptuous of me to actually take the appropriate measures to treat my chief complaint. This resulted in my having a stroke. I thought that with the University of Florida incorporating Flagler, they'd give him the boot, as the current accepted practice is that only physicians trained in emergency medicine are supposed to staff ERs. Imagine my surprise and horror to go back to Flagler a 3rd time for a different issue, thinking it was now Machado free and therefore a safe ER, and to encounter Machado AGAIN! He armed himself with 2 beefy aides. As he himself is beefy, I was confronted by 3 hostile appearing men. Just the thing when one has an emergency. I knew I'd get nowhere and in fact didn't, so I left. I went to the Baptist South ER where my problem was treated promptly by a pleasant male ER dr. What a difference! However, I complained not only to the Flagler ER and hospital admins but to the State of Florida Board of Medicine. I heard back from them, but not from the Flagler people. I have heard no more since about any actions being taken. So, if you can choose, and aren't taken there by ambulance, go to Baptist South!! That will assure that you won't meet the hostile and incompetent Machado in your moment of peril. The hospital did send me a bill for $632.00 which I am contesting.

Went to see him because was having issues with feeling like something stuck in throat. I have had thyroid cancer and have not had ultra sound since it was removed 10 years ago. He did order one . He seemed more interested in pushing weight loss medication then what I was there for, I will not return to see him . Still waiting on results of test, 2 weeks later. Not very patient friendly. I will continue to have PCP follow my thyroid levels . Not a good feeling about quality of care.
