We are grateful to Caroline Dorris Banky, Paul Jones, Emma Preston, Wilma, and Taylor. Each of them has helped us in meaningful ways over the years. Paul Jones came out to our home early one morning to take photographs for our homeowners insurance. Some might say that is simply part of the job, but we appreciated his willingness and professionalism. He has also helped when we had questions about roadside assistance and other matters. He has been steady and dependable. Emma Preston has assisted us with our auto insurance and has always been pleasant, both over the phone and in person. Caroline Dorris Banky and the rest of the team have consistently taken time to explain things clearly when they might otherwise feel technical or confusing. Wilma and Taylor have also been helpful and professional whenever we have worked with them. Parking is easy and conveniently located right at the door, which is something many people appreciate. The waiting room is very comfortable, the magazines are up to date, and the office is clean and welcoming. In the hot Alabama summers, it is cool and comfortable inside, and during the winter months it is warm and inviting. I couldn't have been more wrong. My tax documents were submitted on May 18th. Originally, I worked with Carter, who promised completed taxes by early July. However, my June 1st request for an appointment was completely ignored. He never answered calls, emails, or messages. The only way to get an update was to physically go into the office 2 or 3 times--where he repeatedly assured me I was "at the top of the list" and promised completion "next week." After being strung along until early August, I sent a message stating I was moving on to a new accountant. Lyndsay then stepped in, expressed empathy for my frustration, and promised to wrap up my return by August 5th. Unfortunately, the cycle repeated. The final straw was a firm commitment to deliver the completed return by the end of the day today, which passed without a single word, phone call, or update. I have wasted over three months with this firm. I would rather start completely from scratch with someone new than listen to one more empty promise.
