Pharmacy is incompetent and their customer service is even worse. I called to refill a prescription and was put on hold for 16 minutes. When I informed the employee about the time, she responded with "that sounds about right", and then hung up on me. I've also had problems in the past with prescriptions filled more than one day late. Time to find a new pharmacy. read more

The worst pharmacy in town. They close at 8 but don't get there at 745 because it's too late to verify a controlled rx. Bullshit! If you close at 8pm you should take ALL pharmacy orders upto 8pm. Even if that means you leave 20 min later. They ignored us for 5 min then they said oh you need to go to Rite Aid we close in 10 min and I can't help you said the asian famacist that should be banned for not providing the service she supposed to. read more

I always have had good service at the pharmacy. But if you have never been there, be aware that their pharmacy closes for lunch around 130 pm and reopens around 205 pm. As a result, there is always a line until around 230 or 3 pm. Their pharmacy even has weekend hours till about 530 pm. They also give you reminder calls when your prescription is ready for pickup. They usually can refill prescriptions in 10 to 20 minutes, but have to verify with your doctor's office if it is a new prescription, or if you are out of refills, or if you have not filled the prescription with CVS before. The cashiers at the front can be hit or miss, but I love the customer service from the gal who usually works there in the evening till close. As you might expect they are friendlier when things are slower. read more

Waiting to speak with mgr (John) was not at the store he conveniently just left I purchased $25 Tutta Bella gift card back in February as a gift for a family member they tried to use it at the restaurant although the back of the card clearly shows valid thru 7/27 the restaurant was not able to honor the card was told to go back to where card was originally purchased to see if I could get a refund well it turns out that the cashier I spoke with at Barrtell's stated "oh I never heard of Tutta Bella" does- receipt has the does not matter point is I have the receipt that shows I did in fact buy the card at your store the receipt has amount of purchase - date - also says card activated well now I'm told "we do not give refunds or exchanges on any gift card although that is nowhere on my receipt that states your policy so if is not in writing how is it possible. Anywho stay away from the Des Moines Barrtell's folks looks like they like to scam their customers. read more

We are in this store often for my parents needs. Always a clean store and friendly staff. Good sales and easy to pick up the products we need/want. There have been some empty shelves during the pandemic like everywhere else. Like the location and the staff! read more

A Great Drugstore... Items and layout is excellent and clean.The shelving is on a 4 ft high system, with wide isles....very sweet!..you don't feel closed in and cramped...and you can see other isle choices from where you are....Really! ( it was like this years ago in grocery stores also...) If i could give it a negative review i would. First id like to say the gentleman named robert was super helpful and was great to me. I came to buy a quick pair of headphones since i forgot mine at home and just needed it to work out. A manager named drew was the first person i asked for help to direct me to the right aisle. Trusting the product (which i now know better), upon check out i selected no to paper receipt. I walked out trying to pair the device and realized its not turning on, went to my car and tried to charge it with the provided wire and no light, indicating that its faulty. I turned back around and went back in to ask for a replacement, i was barely gone 2 mins from the moment i walked out and the same manager Drew asked me for a receipt which i explained i didnt think i needed cuz i trusted the product. He refused to help me, didnt even offer if he could help me figure out a way to pair the device, NOTHING!! I was getting frustrated because he literally just saw me pay for the item, i offered to show the transaction on my card he said no, asked if i could speak to Robert who checked me out and he said no, i asked for a higher manager or a number i can contact about this and he said no. While having a smurk on his face. Technically i just got robbed. Tho i understand it was my responsibility for having my receipt but when i asked him where is the written policy that shows "no receipt no return", he told me its written on the receipt that i didnt get... i walked out of there frustrated and yes i called him an A**hole even tho he was worst than that, and he followed me outside while assisting ANOTHER customer to tell me im not allowed to come back. NO THANK you, i will never come back to that store and give them another penny. You dont need to tell me not to come back cuz why would i ever come back after an experience like that. A review like this wont matter, he still gets to keep his job and no additional customer service training will be given but this is the type of Manager this store have. I'm inclined to write a review because I really dislike this pharmacy and now that I've been to a few other Bartell Drugs in Seattle I have something to compare it to. I don't understand why it takes so long to fill a prescription here. For my drop off and wait time, they're going to tell me it's going to be about 1-2 hours. WTH? Seriously, when I do a drop off prescription in Seattle at a few other locations it's never more than 20 minutes. Very disorganized and their staff aren't exactly the friendliest. I've become so irritated with the service the last time I didn't even bother to pick up my prescription. I'm thinking of forwarding it to another location despite the distance from my home it's more of a hassle than a convenience. read more

THis has been our family pharmacy for many years. It always feels like personal service even though they are very busy. Most of the staff has been here for a long time. Recently, they made a poor decision in letting Jolene (the head pharmacist forever) move away.They should have done anything to keep her. This place is terrible now. I have gone in here like every 2 weeks or so waiting for them to have a sale on their candy to no avail. Then lo & behold they had licorice for sale, the best 1. Then I tried to eat it. I tasted like they had it for 2 years. U could hurt somebody hit them with it it was so hard. I remember Bartell's was a quality store before I went to prison. I had my first experience with the pharmacy department on 3/12/2019. I had experienced an allergic reaction to a medication and was in need of a solution. I was helped by a very caring and professional employee. She knew exactly what I needed and did not try to oversell me.She assured me that the store brand products were equally as good. It happened to be her very first day on the job and Bartells is lucky to have her on there team. i was looking at the lipgloss colors and some random women followed me and yelled at me for opening the lipgloss but i've seen so many people do it before, not to mention im only 14 and didn't know better, plus my mom wasn't with me at the time since she was getting a prescription and the women told me she was going to follow me if i didn't tell the workers what i did. i have bad anxiety so i did what she said ( i was also with my one year old baby brother and was scared something will happen to him) while she followed me i was too scared to pull my phone out and call my mom because again i'm black and didn't want her to make a ruckus or call the police on me. the workers didn't do anything i walked out of the store with my baby brother and was about to cry. i wish i didn't panic and told someone what happened but i'm only 14. the worker saw i was panicking and didn't do anything about it even after everything read more

Went to the Auburn Bartells, cashier was rude, told her two scripts, gave me one, gave her card for copay and second script should be free. She rang them up and kept telling me to sign for them. Said no, what happened to customer service and she just walked away and turned me over to the pharmacist. Had to start over with him, he did finally call the other employee at home and she confirmed that I was telling him the truth. When he rang it up correctly it came out free. I only come here when I'm at my boyfriend's place visiting. I always come in with him and we always buy something and we dress well so it's obvious that we have no interest in stealing anything and yet this morning when we went in the old woman working followed us around the store and after we made our purchase I looked at her and said, "Thank you." and she gave me a dirty look. Not just a disgusted kind of dirty look, like a squinty eyed evil glare like I ran over her cat or something. It was completely out of line, I will no longer buy anything if this evil witch of a woman is the only one working and if possible I will just take my money elsewhere. This is a review *just* for the pharmacy at this location. Boy, where to I start? Actually, I'm pretty sure unorganized and somewhat incompetent are pretty good jumping off points. I always get my prescriptions filled here and it's typically no problem. The last couple times have been pretty much inexcusable. My first bad experience, I wrote off as a fluke. But after what occurred last week, I'm pretty ticked. My doctor had faxed in my prescription and I arrived there about an hour and a half later to get it filled. The girl working said she couldn't find it and it probably didn't get faxed yet. Called my doctor and sure enough, she faxed it in right after my appointment ended. So I go back and tell her she needs to look better because it should be there. 15 minutes and 2 pharmacy techs later, they find it. One of the other techs didn't put it in the right spot. At that point, it was an hour and 15 minute wait so I told them to go ahead and fill it, and that I'd be back for it the next day. Came back to pick it up the next day and it turns out it never got filled! So I had to wait almost an hour for them to fill it. I will not be using this pharmacy again. I will go to Walgreen's or Rite Aid! read more

Have been a longtime Bartells customer and have never had anything but positive experiences. I recently moved and transferred my prescriptions to this location. I have been in several times for prescriptions and every time there has been an issue with the prescription being wrong or not ready at the stated time. More importantly however is the lack of Customer Service, the pharmacy staff and the pharmacist in particular are extremely rude and seem to go out of their way to make your experience unpleasant. Will be moving my business elsewhere and would recommend against using this pharmacy read more

I've been going to Bartell's regularly for over 10 years now. They seem to have the same people there which helps. Friendly and efficient service for the most part. Pharmacy area could use some help though. Not so friendly there. The store seems to have your normal stuff to some unique things too. Lots of cards and higher end chocolates. So I go in tonight to get my son a physical for school sports, since he needs by tomorrow and his was out of date since I have KP insurance thought this would be a good idea! Bad idea!!!! Everyone in the store is extremely nice except for the PA.C Barbara Simons. Extremely unprofessional and flat out rude! She asked have we been before I say no. She tells me well then it will be $50! No I have KP that will cover tells me she found my son in system thank god cause it saves her 15 min of extra work she says goes on to ask emergency contact so I start giving info she tells me slow down so I set my insurance card down so she can type off that she raises her voice telling me pick up my card she just cleaned this room and cleans after every person that comes in, not seeing the problem since she said she's hard of hearing you can see and type at your own pace, moving on she tells me twice I can leave the room with my toddler since she's been working for 12 hours although it hasn't been open for 12 hours and you being rude and over worked is my fault? I ask her name so I can speak with management after about 5 more thing that are just too much to type I speak to the manager who was very nice. And what does Barbara say to my son as he leaves make sure you tell your mom my name is written BIG at the bottom! Not only was she rude and disrespectful but to talk to me that way especially in front of my children has my beyond upset!!! And she's older than me so you would think she'd know most adults work all day sit in traffic then take care of their children it's called being an adult!
