I know several of the female carers who genuinely love their job, they admit it can be challenging but feel it is an extremely rewarding vocation.

The building is on two levels with each floor being self contained with it's own lounges. staff stations, kitchen, communal rooms and resident's rooms. There are also landscaped gardens, including a fountain, around the building , a small car parking area and on street parking. There are a range of shops just a few minutes walk away and the home is on a direct bus route which is very helpful for visitors. Staff at the home are very friendly and helpful and there is a lovely homely atmosphere when you enter the building. I would recommend Norley Hall Care Home to anyone looking for a happy, clean, well run residential home for an elderly relative. I have visited several elderly friends there and all have been happy and stimulated, and had all their care needs met by staff with patience and caring attitudes.

The are really helpful with lots of good practical advice. The facilities here are great - baby clinic is in two rooms - one separate waiting room from the rest of the patients and then another room which is private for weighing your child. As its private its great if there is anything you want to ask. The waiting room if equipped with toys so theirs stuff to keep the toddlers enterained as well while you are waiting. Great parking facilities at the back of the clinic. There are quite a number of baby clinics in this area, this by far is the best.

Reception staff are friendly and there are volunteers on hand to assist anyone who needs it. Stars lost for the car park. Minimum you can pay is £2.50 for a 2 hour stay. This has changed recently, you used to be able to pay for 45 minutes stay. I find this charge unreasonably disproportionate and a tax on the sick.

The problem with the centre is that if you feel quite ill, but not an emergency then you are looking at at least a week to wait for an appointment. If you do have an emergency, then a nurse will call you back, sometimes soon but generally about a couple of hours later. HHmmmmm, not good if you're really ill!

The doctors seem to be decent - at least the ones I've seen! The staff are helpful which is always nice, and not always guaranteed in medical centres unfortunately. On the downside, there are often extremely long waits to see the doctor, and despite efforts to prevent this, it doesn't seem to be making a difference.
