Made an online purchase for a pretty expensive bottle of whiskey. Payment went through - purchase abruptly cancelled. I messaged inquiring if they needed a different payment method. Found that my payment HAD went through just that it had then been cancelled. Got an email later in the evening that the item was in my cart still and to finish my purchase. I clicked on the cart and the item was relisted for $200.00 more. I would have paid the extra money had it originally been listed as such, but I certainly won't now because this merchant, in my opinion, seems like a scammer and I won't want them having my bank information. This is a solid Bronx option for finding an affordable and diverse selection of Wine & Spirits. They also have tastings from time to time. My only wish is that they would have an online presence, but that's unfortunately the norm for Bronx Businesses. Some things are not here at all times, like Cachaça and rare/super high end liquors. I would recommend this place because it's very clean and organized. The employees don't harass you and are generally helpful. This was one of my most favorite liquor and lotto store to come to but as of a year ago it has been so unpleasant. My wife alway play her lotta there but the younger girl is alway playing or doing something on her watch and making mistakes on the numbers .. I was there a days ago and I didn't see any of the old staff there's always this guy there I thought he was the boss but then I realizes he couldn't be I was asking him for some help and he was acting as if he hated his job or being on his cell phone was more important.From I remember Billy was always very helpful and pleasant along with the older staff. read more

This is my neighborhood Liquor Store and I think the selection is Great! They have good hours, a NYS Lottery machine and scratch offs. They have a pretty nice selection of wines and always carry my favorite, Appleton Estates-Jamaican Rum, the white and brown variety. They also have a really cool, helpful, charasmatic and handsome sales assistant - Latin guy-wink, "Hey Mami, you need any help?" yep, he is worth dropping in just to ask a question or two- smile! Plus the owner is the nicest guy and the ladies at the register are always friendly. read more

Horrible customer service. I live around the neighborhood so I occasionally buy liquor and play the Lotto games. I usually buy the games on the machines but today I decided to go to the cashier. Some of the games I'm not too sure how they're played because I don't play a lot. I gave her some numbers for Win 4 and she started asking some questions that I wasn't sure how to answer so I told her I wasn't sure and her response was "Well if you're not sure neither I am" now I know why I prefer the machines rather than to deal with rude people. After getting annoyed I told her to guess. She could of taken the time to explain because the store was empty and I was the only customer there. I always say you draw more bees to honey rather than vinegar. I will continue to play the machine but will no longer make any other purchases. I suggest retraining your cashier since they lack customer service experience and it will eventually affect your profits. read more

i was at kmart and stop here first to buy some lottery tickets and pick up a bottle of cheap disgusting wine for vinnie el cheapo. its located in the co-op city bronx area and its a big liquor store. a good selection of wines and assorted liquors and spirits. the folks who work here are really helpful and friendly. the guy who asked if i needed help, pick the perfect bottle of wine on short notice, something cheap in price and would make any wino happy and blasted. i dont drink but if i did the shelves and aisles of endless booze would give me a intoxicating orgasm of drunkin splendor. i am glad they have lottery stuff here or else vinnie the boozer would be drinking water or diet pepsi instead. a good amount of parking in area and prices of wines and liquors are better then many other places in manhattan. p.s. purchase two 10 dollar scratch offs and won zero. read more

One of the best liquor stores I've been to in the Bronx not only due to their customer service, but they really listen to customers with regards to product requests. Besides having a New York State lottery machine on their premises, this is the largest store of its kind in Co-op City. The store carries a wide selection of wines and liquors, especially an impressive selection of rums, bourbons, vodkas, and whiskeys. I've spoken with management in the past and they have been receptive in my feedback that they brought some brands that are hard to find and I was impressed by their actions. Other places will simply ignore you and order what they they think the public likes, but the store's management did listen and that left such a lasting impression on this business. When businesses listen, you will see results and loyal customers returning. read more
