I agree with Cheyenne that the lobby is not super relaxing but honestly it didn't bother me a ton- it was Saturday and I was in relaxation mode anyway. My boyfriend and I went in for a couples massage and overall really enjoyed it. The room was done in an asian boudoir theme. It was fairly dark and relaxing. The temperature was not warm enough for me but my boyfriend did not have the same problem. The bed itself was comfortable except when I was laying face down my chin was hitting metal, so perhaps the bed (or myself) was not positioned correctly. The other problem is that when you flip to your back the recessed lighting is shining right in your eyes so perhaps they should put eye masks on for that part. I would have spoken up about these things but since it was a couples massage I didn't want to interrupt my other half's experience. Matthew was my masseuse. He was very professional and overall gave a nice massage. I especially enjoyed the hand portion. His firmness was perfect not too hard-not too soft. My feet were icecubes though so I was surprised he did not mention that or ask if I was warm enough....maybe he thought I had circulation issues who knows. I would recommend him for sure though. My boyfriend had Shasta as his masseuse. He said it was the best he ever had and even began to nod off during portions of it. I think he is an official massage-convert and really enjoyed the benefits of a good massage. Just OKAY. The entrance of Bambu is large and well-lit, with a reception desk and a few chairs to wait in the "lobby." I use the term lobby because that's exactly what it is, there is nothing welcoming or relaxing about it. You are asked to wait and fill out your paper work. Our couple's massage room was extremely tiny and very warm. There was barely enough room for our therapist to move around the tables. We were less than arms length apart. The massage was standard, nothing fancy. Bambu does not add any service to "go the extra mile." No stones, hot towels, or warmness from the therapist. read more

I tried Bambu out years ago as a result of a special, and now it is my go to spot for a massage. The staff is consistently pleasant and even with the location change the atmosphere is still serene. Additionally, the ability to go online & schedule an appointment makes life so easy! While I love massages to relax its another matter to find someone who can work out problem areas- either work related (mouse gripping/tight hips from sitting) or exercise related. For Valentine's Day I booked my husband and I for a couples massage. Bambu went all out for this, renting additional space next door. We were in a large and warm room. And the warmers on our tables kept us extra toasty. This was a special treat for us and the rose and chocolates upon check out were very thoughtful. This was a tremendous value (two massages for $100, extra $10 for deep tissue.) I visited Bambu organics on Monday (3/28) after reading the reviews here on Yelp. When I walked in there was peaceful music playing, there was a diffuser on the counter that had a lovely scent flowing throughout the room. I was greeted promptly and provided with the initial intake paperwork to complete. The seating area was decorated nicely and there was also some products (body oils etc) displayed in this area as well. I had a full body Swedish massage with Matt and I loved every minute. He applied the right amount of pressure and focused on the areas that had the most tension. His hands are heavenly! I can't wait to go back next time I'll get a 90 min as opposed to 50. Most of the time you can get a same day or next day appointment if you aren't picky about your masseur preference. My favorite therapist is Matt and the rest of the staff are very warm, kind, respectful and accommodating. I always feel comfortable and that my privacy is maintained. These are the most incredible massage therapists. The support staff has always been staunchly unhelpful, rude and with bad will towards others--that is, when they feel like answering the phone. Unfortunately, it is never possible to get a massage same-day, and no I'm not restricting times or therapist, it's simply never available. If you want a weekend appointment you must book a week in advance. If you want a 90 minute massage that is also quite difficult to book at this place. When you wake up in pain, it is on, you need a massage same day. I have ALWAYS booked my massages same day or next day in the other cities where I've lived. Unfortunately this clinic will never be able to serve my needs. read more

Ok well, Where do I start? I contemplated giving this place a zero but then I really thought about it and decided against it..this is why.... My father passed away 2 days ago and I've obviously been incredibly tense and stressed which resulted in my neck getting really stiff. I used to get massages 2 times a week when I lived in AZ but here I just haven't found a good spot yet. Then this little place falls into my lap, I call set up an appointment for the same day. Was a bit of a drive but I didn't mind because I knew I would get some relief. Once I got there a nice gentlemen greeted me by name and asked me to fill out a simple 1 page sheet. He tells me Rene' the masseuse would be with me soon. So I fill out and wait patiently. The masseuse comes out. Reads my chart and asks me if I told the owner that I was pregnant. And I said NO of course! Then she disappears to the back for a few minutes, then she tells me that because I'm pregnant they are uncomfortable with giving me a massage due to liability. Ok...so obviously I was really bummed, I seriously just needed some relief, but at the same time I always appreciate when businesses put safety first, however being a business owner myself I expected the owner to come out and tell me himself. This would have been my perfect rejection: "Hello customer, for your safety we cannot service you while you are in your 1st trimester, but please come back on your 2nd and we will absolutely make it up to you! We look forward to seeing you again" Is that too much to ask??? But I guess they didn't value me enough. Had I gotten this courtesy I would have given a 5 star rating. Anyways I walked out of there defeated and bit sad that I drove all that way for nothing. I walked back and told the owner exactly how I felt nicely of course... I'm a lady! I booked a massage last minute and was able to get a massage 2 days later. It was my first massage and I did the 50 minute Swedish massage. It felt very short so I would recommend and will do a longer one next time. The masseuse's are very nice and asked which problem areas I had so they could work on them a little more. I just got back from my first visit to Bambu at their new location. It had been years since I last had a massage at Bambu. But I'm very glad I came back. Meghan was the massage therapist for my appointment today and it was great. Very relaxing. Perfect pressure. I really appreciate that she listened to, and addressed, my specific areas of concern. I feel much better than when I first walked through the doors. The place itself is very nicely decorated, and cozy. Quiet. Definitely a pleasant atmosphere. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! The BEST massage I have ever gotten!! Make sure you get Matt! I have had many massages over the past few years (prices ranging from around $30 to $70) and have at least moderately enjoyed all of them, so when a LivingSocial deal popped up for a 50 minute deep tissue massage here at Bambu Organic Massage I figured I'd give it a try. The lobby area is really small, but the massage rooms are spacious and relaxing. The massage table had a heating pad and lots of blankets, so I was comfortably warm the entire time. My massage therapist was Matt (mentioned in a previous review), and he was absolutely amazing! I arrived early but didn't have to wait because he was already there at the front desk. Matt talked to me ahead of time about what kind of pressure I liked and was very responsive when I asked for a harder massage. Halfway through he even asked again how I felt about the pressure because he wanted to make sure he was right on target (he was!). Afterwards, he let me take my time getting my things together and met me outside with a glass of water. He was very positive and friendly throughout my experience, and I would 100% DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM (especially if you're a fan of deep tissue massages)! Full-priced deep tissue massages are $60 (with $10 off if you have a business card) which is very reasonable for such an amazing experience. I am definitely coming back to get all of my future massages with Matt! read more

Decided to get a massage on my day off so I looked on Groupon for any deals. I found a new customer deal for a 50 min Swedish or deep tissue massage and decided to give it a try. I signed up on the website and just picked a person who had an open appt for that day and time. They have instructions on the site for how to enter your Groupon information. Either I didn't enter something right or something went wrong b/c we had some confusion on the actual Groupon number after I left. Other than that one issue I had a great experience at Bambu. There is ample parking in the shopping center and there is a big sign/banner on the balcony. The waiting room is small but I thought it was nice and appropriate for a massage place. After I checked in Michael brought me back and explained everything to me seeing that it was my first time. The massage was great especially with Michael talking me through each step . Overall the rooms were nice and clean and the oil wasn't too heavy. I felt completely comfortable and definitely plan on going back soon ! read more
