I ordered a 72" x 48" window from Selcan on March 23rd, 2019. I paid the invoice in full at the…read moretime of the order. Sales rep advised that it would take a maximum of 3 to 4 weeks and that they would call to book the installation. Owner came to see the window and advised us to prepare it by opening up the wall and to move any electrical wiring, therefore we proceeded and the hole was prepared for them to install. Fast forward to the 2nd week of May and I had not received any update from anyone at Selcan. I then called and the receptionist advised that she would call me back in a few weeks to book a date for the installation. On May 27th I sent an email to the sales rep concerning the status of the window. He did not answer the email, no phone call either. The next day the receptionist called me back and she advised that they received the window and that the installation date was set for the morning of June 4th @ 9am.
Fast forward to June 4th @ 9:10am, the owner calls me and advises that they cannot find the window.
Owner told me that he would call me back as soon as he found the window and that they would install immediately, within a few days.
Owner did not call me back.
On June 5th, the receptionist sends me an email blaming the manufacturer, instead of owning up to their mistakes.
She also advised that they would reorder the window and it would take another 4 weeks for delivery if I was willing to wait again.
I called her and advised that I wanted a full refund.
I don't understand how Selcan booked the installation without having the window.
Disappointing and frustrating experience
