We communicated with him for a couple of weeks, test driving the machine, inspecting it closely, and asking a lot of questions about it. It had a lot of miles/hours on it, but we decided to purchase it fully aware and understanding the issues with it (leaky diesel tank, leaking air from the tires, yet the transmission was good). He was firm on his price, we felt he was being fair, and he spent a lot of time with us during the process. On the day the check we wrote to him was approved by his bank, he had us come by to pick up the loader to take it home. Andy assured us that the batteries in the unit were good. Trusting his communication, we drove it off his property over 1 mile away to meet the flatbed truck delivering the loader to our Milwaukee address, and when we arrived at the meeting point, we shut the loader off awaiting the driver's arrival. When the driver arrived, we proceeded to try and start the loader to drive it on the flatbed, but it would not start. After trying lots of different tricks, we couldn't get it started, and finally decided to drive a few miles to a farm supply store to purchase some batteries, which once installed, allowed the loader to fire right up! The batteries cost us an extra $275 + $150 for the driver's time just to get it home. When we followed up with Andy via his cell phone leaving him 3 messages over the course of the week that followed, he would NOT return our phone calls. Before he had our check for the loader, he was VERY responsive. But upon calling to ask him about the batteries and the additional $$$ he cost us, he wouldn't respond. We were hopeful he would be understanding and share the costs which inconvenienced us following his comments that the batteries were good. Not knowing Andy beyond this transaction, I question his desire to do the right thing, and thought others should know about it. Is this how he provides customer service to others?

So far they've been great for us. The most recent example was today. I had spent the entire morning trying to get our sump pump to work, and had tried everything to thaw the pipes. I had come to the conclusion that maybe it was the pump itself that was having issues, so I decided to give them a call. The person I spoke with was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and had someone sent out same day to take a look. I believe his name was John and he was excellent. Super friendly and knew his stuff for sure. In the end it did turn out to simply be frozen pipes, but John took care of it, and not to mention had to work outside on the coldest day we've had in a long time. Would absolutely not recommend! We had our driveway poured about a year ago. There is a low spot in…read morethe concrete directly in the walk way to our entry door. It fills with water when it rains or is a slippery spot all winter that we need to step through or over every time we walk in or out of the house. The cuts that were made are not smooth but chipped up and look horrible all the way down the driveway. Then they broke pieces out of the concrete they were meeting up against when they took the black top out and didn't put a cut between the old concrete and their new concrete so a crack formed on its own. Less than a year and a crack has formed at the side of the driveway. The piece of concrete we had poured 6 years prior by another company still doesn't have a crack yet today. Should have stuck with them! Definitely not worth the cost!

When we called they said that they could get us in that afternoon because they had a guy in the area. We asked how much it would be and the lady said $225 an hour and $200 an hour after that. She never said anything about fuel charges. When the guy got to our house he was here for 45 min and charged us $395. When we asked why it was so different then we were quoted he said it was the fuel charges. So they charge $160 to go 10 min. Away and he wasn't even here an hour!!! I would not recommend this company for not being transparent with its costumers.

The last time they charged me $225 which unfortunately is what this type of service cost in my area. The technician was very nice and respectful. We even chatted after he was finished, which was under an hour. They told me that he was there over an hour. He worked for 30 minutes at the most, and we chatted for the rest. I do not believe that I should be charged for chatting, and when any of my previous contractors have worked for me they have never charged me anymore, especially when they put their tools away

Originally I had him install a water main shutoff and I liked him so much I had him replace the main stack and rough in plumbing throughout the house. From this point on I realized what a lousy businessman Randy is. During his initial time here giving me an estimate he told me he would get the necessary permits and I don't need to worry. When you call R and R Plumbing you will reach Randy's wife Dawn. If you call there in the morning she will answer the phone, but is always pre occupied talking to her crew and complaining about how busy she is. If you call in the afternoon Dawn may or may not answer and if she does she is "away from her desk" and may or may not return your call. Randy was very quick to say he could find a better toilet that I could buy in store. I said ok great do you have a picture because I don't want just any toilet? Nope. "I will have the guys pull one out of the box and have Dawn send you a pic" That never happened. Even after asking a second and third time, I said the hell with it and found one myself. Moving along, I wanted a washtub installed in the basement and it was the same line as before. "I can find you one way better than you can find in the store" Okay great get me one. That never happened either. Not only did Dawn keep sending me an invoice for $100 or so that I had already paid and previously disputed, I repeatedly asked her for my current invoice. She said I should have gotten it but she would "look into it and get back to me" As you can probably guess by now, that didn't happen either. I had to call her again to request it be sent again AND ask her about the permit Randy said he would get. I had to ask because by this time I was fed up and hired a new plumber. This is where the story takes a nice turn. I have never done a renovation before and it would have been nice to be told that I needed to have an inspection done by the city. I am guessing he didn't mention it because he never got the permits they told me they would. When I called him out on this to Dawn she gave me some lame story about how she rubs elbows with the people that work for the city and its "actually not a big deal" She told me worse case scenario I would get a small fine, no big deal. Obviously she doesn't have an attorney because mine assured me that was NOT the case. Moving along, she LIED to me AGAIN on the phone and said Randy just took care of it. She asked if I would like to schedule more work and I said no thank you. After having a quality plumber look at Randy's crappy work he rolled his eyes and said "this is not good" The main stack had been hacked so many times it looked like a kid took 50 pieces of random pipe and glued them together. After telling the new plumber what I was doing in the bathroom he said he has know idea wtf Randy's plan was but he would have to redo all his work. This included replacing the stack again and properly roughing in the bathroom with the rest of the work I needed finished. He pointed out pipes glued together crooked and even broken fittings. I wouldn't recommend Randy to work on ANYTHING! Call ANYONE besides R and R Plumbing. I wish I had, it cost me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!

He quickly undertone problem and fixed it in under an hour. They also recommended a water damage remediation company that was there in under an hour to repair that damage. We've used R and R plumbing several times over the years. They've been very prompt, efficient, effective and the bills were always reasonable.
