My initial experience with this shop was not the best, I took one of my jackets in for a small adjustment and sewing job and in under a week the staff had forgotten about my request, so I had to make multiple trips to remind them and make sure it was exactly as I wanted it and I had to wait around just under two weeks give or take for what just took them few days to do after reminding them. I am currently jobless at the moment so I had little money to spare and £40 for a small sewing and adjustment job hurt my wallet a lot, and for the time I had to wait before giving them a reminder the price seemed a bit much for the small adjustments I needed. However the customer service was good and everything was as per my request. So altogether the job, the customer service, the multiple trips including the time I had to wait and what I was charged, I give a 3.5/5 Everything was as needed but having near to no money and being jobless, I can't believe I went and put my money here. Despite the great quality, I feel like I lost a little more than I gained being charged £40 for a small adjustment. I feel like it could've/should've been around £10 - £15 cheaper, but that's my experience with this place and will probably be my only one. read more

I bought my DREAM leather moto jacket yesterday at Bashir & Sons while on vacation in London. A couple local friends were showing me around Brick Lane and when I told them I had been looking for the perfect moto, they took me to this shop right away. It had the best selection, the best prices and great range of sizes to get the perfect fit! The shopkeepers were very sweet and helpful in finding just the right size. We browsed other stalls in the markets but nothing else compared to the selection. I have been searching for a blue leather jacket, that I could afford for years. Visiting my sick daughter, travelled from Sydney, needed a hour out. Found Mo, at Bashir, he was great. While sightseeing in London I walked into a tourist shop that had a leather "matrix" style coat in the window. I went in to try it on. While I liked it, the price was very high. I looked on line and discovered that I could buy it for less than 25% of what they were asking for. I also discovered that Brick Lane has leather shops and manufacturers. So I went to that area and entered this store. Of course I felt kind of strange asking for a matrix coat, but Moo knew exactly what I meant, and said he had one left in stock. It was perfect! We negotiated a bit on price and I came away with a great coat at a great price! He even threw in a wallet! What an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend the store and Moo. It's a bit out of the way for tourists but well worth the trip and a great selection too. read more
