I picked up a stone bead bracelet that had a stone sloth on it, my wife's "spirit animal" and then another item for my son who was not with us. The choices were good and they had some additional sale on a cup at a discount because I bought over a certain amount, I didn't need another cup, but nice for someone to throw in a discount. The girl who worked that day was friendly, but didn't laugh at my dad jokes...oh well. A nice place to pick up stuff while in PEI.

The new owner is equally as cool as Rick, although there is no canine presence, which is probably a good thing in the PC world we seem to live in now. The new store is completely different from the old Market but also quite the same. You can still buy papers, bongs, flags, t shirts, pins, buttons, and much more. Records are back too, in a big way, and there are even turntables available (not always). Remember, this isn't 1985, and this isn't the flea market. The prices reflect that. Get over it and enjoy yourself inside this gem of a shop, and bring your blunt smoking/record buyer friends too.

I went out with my father on a mission to pick up a gift for an anniversary party he was attending, and when we got to the studio it was immediately evident that making a final choice would be difficult. Not to worry, there is no sales pressure here and the shop staff are simply happy to have a chat and make a new friend. Sara is often found throughout both the shop and the studio - you can watch her work, look at things in process, and on the day we visited, we encountered her serving freshly made lime cordial to everyone in the shop! We left with two mugs that are absolutely beautiful. There are a range of classic mugs and dishes, serving items etc available all the time - there is no shortage of stock! A couple items that stood out to me are the moustache mugs, designed to prevent moustaches from getting soaked, and the fancy shaving sets for a bit of an old-timey feel. I also noticed a classic french (?) butter keeper that was gorgeous. So... check it out, okay?
