I have recently been back to Baskeyfield Motors for a service and noticed i never left my review. I have had 2 cars from baskeyfield motors so far and after buying my 3rd car and it was my dream car of a Golf R from them i couldn't of been happier. The sale was swift and easy and when i collected the car i had a nice bottle of red wine from them which is a very nice touch. I would highly recommend them to any friends or family without a doubt. Stay away! It's great customer service when purchasing a £20k car until problems are identified and they take no responsibility! Leaving the customer to foot the bill. I would never recommend this garage to anyone. Go elsewhere. read more

Ok to start of the guy on the phone was polite and upon meeting him polite. After just been given the keys to have a look at it (which i could of easily just driven of in it) I had a look around it, started it up, under the bonnet etc. after looking around it I went inside to talk to him and Someone then came to pick up there car so I had to wait 10 minutes to talk to him again. I noted to the salesman what I thought of the vehicles condition after this and he then started telling (as per) that it was in top condition mechanically etc and he'd been in the trade for 25 years approx. and he used to be an MOT'er. He then took me for a test drive. Which he didnt even tell me he was going to. I could'nt of been a learner for all he knew. Whilst on test drive he said " i dont think this car is for you" and I replied "why is that?" and he said " because your just trying to find faults with it" I replied with " dont you think that is my decision whether its for me or not?"..... so this went on, I pointed out the clutch was very sticky and got stuck in places on the lift. He again went on about the car is perfect condition and he used to be an MOT'er and he'd been in the trade for 25 approx. years, and I used both of my cars which are 23 years and 43 years of age as an example that neither of them do that. He replied its a different kettle of fish. i replied. obviously you know far more about cars than me. He then carried on by saying "i think this test drive is over" so i replied " no problem" with a chuckle. Got back, got out, went home. This 'salesman' which is the owner of this facility behind metal fences (great presence btw) knows what he is doing, Great at taking money of people, no problem in that i dont think. But dont mention a thing about the condition of the car and definitely dont ask question other wise you will get sarcy, autistic replies from an immature bad tempered little man. Very unhappy with this... Do not go here to view or buy terrible experience. Quite amazed that he has been in sales for 25 years approx. More like 2 years at one garage then nothing for 10 then his his own for 13 years. absolute idiot. read more
