From the Aldrich Plaza, you will find yourself slipping and sliding towards this ice cream shop…read morewith a lot to offer. Brand: 5/5 Shivers Ice Cream is a family-owned restaurant in operation for 30 years, according to the website. I do like the penguin mascot which perfectly represents the establishment. The slogan "Ice Cream, Cakes, and Fun!" manages to evoke a festive environment that Shivers promises. The shorter the syntax, the more evocative and straight-forward; as any English major would know. I do not know if the canvases of solid colors are meant to represent abstract art, but I can see how it does not conflict with the interior. It does not contrast strongly with the light-colored floor tiles or the walls, but it does not complement them either. The rows of ice cream containers with many flavors entices anyone who looks upon them from behind the glass counter. Website: 3/5 The design of the website looks to have an outdated theme. Also, while it does offer a view of the various cakes with unique designs, it does not have a section dedicated to flavors, despite claiming to offer 30 distinct flavors. Nonetheless, I appreciate the cool blue color that serves as the thematic color of Shivers Ice Cream. Ambiance: 5/5 As expected, the interior felt cold, but not too cold that I wanted to leave immediately. The pop music playing over the radio gave the Shivers Ice Cream establishment a pleasant yet upbeat vibe. While it is a small establishment, it did suit us enough, with its tables having the appropriate width and the chairs not having an uncomfortable feel. Service: 5/5 The staff provided decent service. There is a tip jar for college funds, and I appreciate the transparency of where the money goes. Wait Time: 5/5 Our orders came immediately. Food: 5/5 I ordered the small Snix milkshake. As you can expect, it blends milk, ice cream, and Snickers bits into a milkshake. I can definitely taste the chocolate, caramel, and peanuts that typically come with Snickers. The shake had a well-blended consistency of well-preserved ice cream, which melted easily with every sip. It achieves that creamy texture especially at the top. Worth The Money?: 4/5 While the website does offer a view of the products they have, I would like to see what flavors they can showcase on their website. For an ice cream shop with so much personality, I do not even know what their signature dish is. Perhaps it could be in the form of a new flavor, a milkshake, or an ice cream cookie. The penguin mascot reflects off the chilliness of the establishment and the menu items. I am sure that Coldrich the Penguin (as I would call him as a portmanteau of "cold" and "Aldrich [Plaza]") has a future with this establishment. I would say that I did not waste my time coming here. The price for a small milkshake would have been the same at Dairy Queen, but considering this is a local establishment, I will say that the price is ultimately worth it, though as a second choice (indeed, I would choose Shivers as a first choice if I ever come to Aldrich Plaza again if it is the only ice cream shop there). Rating: 5/5 Stars When it comes to choosing between 4 or 5 stars, I see too much potential in this ice cream shop to give it 4 stars. Recommend To... Anyone who already had something to eat for lunch or dinner in the other local eateries in Aldrich Plaza and want dessert. I also recommend Shivers Ice Cream for the summer for a birthday celebration.

Here in Regal Plaza, you will find Vietnamese cuisine. For all the times I came to the plaza, I…read morealways wanted to go there as a final stop. Considering another eatery, I discovered that it was temporarily closed, which led me to go this eatery instead. Brand: 4/5 Vietnam Bistro is a Vietnamese restaurant in Regal Plaza in Howell Township. I like how the brand maintains a form easy to understand, from the name to the logo showing a bowl of food with chopsticks. The sign outside is itself simple in design albeit inconsistent, since the font does not match the one on the logo. You will also find lots of artwork decorating the walls and plastic plants. Website: 4/5 Vietnam Bistro immediately invites you to their website with the opening of B-Roll footage of food on sticks prepared on a grill. While you do have access to the menu, only a few of the items have images. Pertaining to the overall design of the website, it makes use of images and B-Roll footage with good placement, giving the entire website a good presentation with every scroll. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no issues or delays, as I received the beverage and the meal quickly. Ambiance: 4/5 You will hear Vietnamese pop playing throughout the establishment with a soothing volume. While the tables did have a small size, they make up for it by including containers filled with eating utensils with Vietnamese terms on it, which I found quite fascinating. Plenty of space exists separating the tables, and the establishment had a large capacity to accommodate many people. The seats felt slightly comfortable. The menu selection offers you a glimpse into authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Food: 5/5 I ordered the BánhMì Thịt Nướng with grilled pork packed between two buns, with Thai Tea. The crunchy baguette held its form as the grilled pork became the most prominent flavor. The flavor of the well-cooked pork especially came out with the addition of barbecue sauce. The vegetables, especially the cucumbers, gave it a balanced taste. The Thai Tea had a robust, tangy flavor. This entire course brought me into a pleasant mood, for not only did I get to try my first Vietnamese meal, but the tea especially gave me a decent experience that lasted throughout the day. The wait time it took to cook the meal matched the quality perfectly, and I can clearly see how they would feature on the website as a menu item. The service puts care into their menu items, and they keep within the spirit of Vietnamese cuisine. Service: 5/5 The staff made sure that I had a well-attended experience. I do not know if he was the owner, but he ensured that I knew what I wanted by offering me not just the menu but also a tablet showing the images of the items. Although they had a randomized order, I can definitely understand that a non-Vietnamese American like myself would probably not know much about Vietnamese cuisine. It is also a sign of a technologically aware establishment. Based on my first impressions, I will say that the service matches the quality of the brand, and they care about the food for the website does not lie when it claims it serves food with "love and care." The service ensured that I received my order quickly, even by piecemeal with the Thai Tea first and the Banh Mi second. Nothing about the ambiance tried my patience as I awaited my order. Cost: 4/5 Taking into consideration every aspect of this business, I will say that everything seemed to coalesce perfectly. As far personal suggestions, I would like to see more images of the menu items on that tablet and on that website. For such a simple yet effective logo, I would like to see it reflected on the sign outside. I would say that I would have given the cost three stars, the fact that I had a good first impression on Vietnamese cuisine means that it piqued my curiosity to the point I would want to come back in the future. With all that being said, I will say that the price of the Banh Mi and the Thai Tea was ultimately worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I can see how this Vietnamese restaurant would continue to represent Regal Plaza. Coming to Vietnam Bistro, I would consider it a first option for lunch or dinner. With the brand, you know what you are getting yourself into; and with the service, you will never feel lost. I wish more ethnic-themed restaurants would have as much accommodations when it comes to their menu items as Vietnam Bistro. Recommend To... Anyone looking for an opportunity to try Vietnamese cuisine. I assure you that you will not have a disappointing first impression.

We started with the meatballs, hubby had the calzone, which to me is really a two meal dish and 1/2 half goes home... I'll get back to that. I like the white clam sauce with linguine it's delicious, it's another large portion and 1/2 went home with us.... because they have zeppoles YES!!! Now they are light, airy and have tons of powdered sugar on them and I am ok with that- if you need a sauce they come with chocolate sauce on the side- my husband likes them this way--- but I prefer raspberry sauce myself, I'm not Italian and I have been told by my hubby's family and Italians it's powdered sugar only and if you need sauce, would chocolate or Nutella be allowed! ! end of discussion lol- .......but here I am sitting on my couch eating "our" zeppoles with powdered sugar and raspberry sauce, typing on my keyboard with powdered sugar fingers!! and he's legit cringing !! Sat at bar and ordered meatball app - not bad - then ordered margharita pie - in this day and age, when pizza has become a gourmet situation and thr world has become obsessed, I would think that anyone selling it should be on their game. it came out and the mozzerella was sour - I had guy taste it and he agreed. after i figured let me be safe and order regular and specificall said a few times, light cheese and extra sauce. pie comes out alot of cheese and little sauce and quite honestly the regular mozzerella also tasted a bit sour. I was willing to live with it. my issue aside from bad food is when bill came, I expected guy to either comp the pizza or offer coffee or something.... not only did he not do it but he kept charge for margarita when i had a regular which is cheaper. save your time and money and go to one I listed above - you will not only be happy, but you will now have 2 go-to places that are on point 100% of the time

YES I am giving 5-stars because it was worth every penny spent…read more I had decided late Saturday night I wanted to go to brunch, but I didn't want to travel far and I didn't want to spend a fortune on items I didn't want to eat, I wanted a simply, tasty brunch/breakfast. So "Our House" !! Close to home, Mini-Me goes there for karaoke night and she enjoys the food there. Came here last Sunday 2/1/26 - Saturday night I made the reservations online- and Sunday we went on over- we found parking up front, even with the snow piled a mile high. Omelet station was doing a brisk business and although I am not much of an omelet person, I ordered mine, and let me say--theirs is really good! I also went up twice for the roast beef- the nice thing is, they don't cook a huge roast, it's medium size and seasoned and cooked perfectly, not a lot of fat, but the seasoning was fantastic. Chicken with lemon sauce, the pork in a really nice sauce, the house potatoes (really liked these- peel and eat shrimp were large and plentiful. Salads, sausage and bacon, sausage and peppers, and the desserts were so tasty. But lets talk about the waffles here- Belgium waffles , thick, fluffy and I absolutely enjoyed them, in fact I had two- I KNOW!! it was carbs, but who is counting carbs when it comes to a Sunday brunch?! I usually like Bloody Mary's at "Brunch Time", but this time, it was the mimosas calling my name- cool and refreshing and a perfect ratio of OJ and Prosecco. Mini-Me ordered a large apple juice to go with her mimosa's, lol. Coffee was hot and our cups were never empty. Serving staff was working hard, clearing tables keeping the patrons coffee cups filled and even taking orders for the bar service, I am not sure if patrons ordered from the regular menu, but it was busy!!! I have to say, there is something to be said about both a huge buffet and a buffet that caters to the basics of a good brunch- they do not over extend the items, I think that is were some places go wrong. They do 1/2 pans for the buffet so everything is fresh, and replenished quickly, nothing sits for long or is empty. The gentleman working the omelet /carving station was so friendly and nice, I couldn't help but smile each time I went up for "2nds". Anyway for $19.99pp plus tax and tip, it is definitely a winner in my book and a once a month breakfast on my calendar. When I asked about the Thanksgiving Brunch from people I know- Our House was given high praises so, my husband said I don't have to cook this year, we are going to OUR HOUSE!!!! and I couldn't be happier!

I have eaten here and each time no bueno. Being hispanic, I eat a lot of Mexican food, all over this country, because it is not only my culture, but my comfort food and my go to when in a new town. Rice, dry no flavor. Beans no flavor. I have had the tacos with mole sauce- they do not serve mole here, I have had much mole in my life, this is not it. Tacos are not full, they are limited in the actual protein, as my family calls them, "sad tacos" "Tacos Tristes" Salsa is okay, I could eat a ton of salsa and chips but not here. Guacamole- yes, I have also had it here and it defies me how they use the molcajete from table to table and just scoop it into a flat dish to serve.. what?! and then move on to the next table- like, what if you can't eat onions or hate the taste of cilantro or allergic to chili peppers? My husband refuses to eat here and will drive to Freehold, Jackson even Belmar for Mexican food, but not the 3 blocks to Juanitos. I cannot in good conscious give it more that 2 stars- if you think this is the best, then okay, but you really need to expand your palate and head elsewhere.
