I've been going to this Carvel since I was kid! They always have nice staff working here that aim to please. I absolutely love Carvel Reese's sundae dashers, and I like to create my own sundae dashers too! Today, I created my own custom dasher here. I picked the flavors midnight madness and chocolate chip cookie ice cream, and had it layered with peanut butter and Reese's. It was so delicious!!! The chocolate chip cookie flavor ice cream is so good!!! This location also carries a lot of variety of soft serve flavors too. I also noticed that they have apple pice ice cream still in stock too. Great ice cream! I especially liked the small kid's sized cup of pistachio ice-cream with chocolat syrup on top. Service was fast and friendly. It's great that it is open year round as many people like having ice cream in winter. It's a great place to take kids for a gathering after a game of hockey or ice skating at the Old Bridge Skating rink. The kids like vanilla with lots of sprinkles. read more

Simply the best! This store consistently offers high quality, freshly made products at a reasonable price. Every single item (yes, even the ice cream) is made on site daily and you can absolutely taste the difference compared to the store bought crap or literally any other parlor ice cream. This is also one of the only Carvels to offer drive-thru service which is a really nice convenience. The owners and staff provide excellent service, are courteous and friendly, and are very good at helping you choose from the many different combinations of ice creams, toppings, and all the other goodies they offer! read more

I been a resident of Old Bridge for 10 years. Since living here, I have chosen this Carvel as my go to Ice Cream spot. Not because of service, but because is so close to my house. The service has always been slow weather inside or drive-thru. I took my family for ice cream on 4-27 then again the next day (4-28) after my daughter's Dance practice. After waiting in the drive thru line for a while, we finally get our turn, order and pay. The male at the drive thru window handed us a coupon for a free junior cone valid the following day. The following day, I take my daughter to soccer practice and subsequently to Carvel to redeem the Free Junior cone coupon. The place was mobbed, so many people it took strong will to want to stay and wait. Being that my little one was already excited, I got in the drive through lane and waited. When our turn finally came, I ordered and paid for 2 ice creams cones (for my wife and I) then inquired about my free cone. Thats when the catch came into play (cause there's always a catch,right?) Oh no Sir, sorry but thats only valid inside the store. Seriously? I wait the line, paid for 2 ice creams and now I can't get the free cone I was there for in the first place? It would have taken her 5 seconds at most to hand us a JR size cone. Wouldn't you think that if we were at the window and had already bought and paid for 2 ice creams that your objective was already accomplished (to get us to buy something). Well, I'm very disappointed, we were deceived and taken advantage of. We did not see that anywhere in the coupon flyer. I think it was just made up as an excuse not got honor the coupon. They knew we weren't going to make another line inside with so many people already in front of us and no place to park. My sister and I used to come to this location because the one by us in Spotswood had a crazy lady manning the store, and we just couldn't deal with her. The drive here was worth the lack of stress in ordering. But this spot does have younger kids working and sometimes they just don't think. One young guy used his finger to scoop the soft serve chocolate back into the cup when he misjudged it and it fell out from the dispenser. Gross! Sorry, you can never do that with people's food, and at the very least not somewhere that the customer can clearly see you! We had to ask him for a new one. He was well accommodating, but kind of weird that happened in the first place. Have their parking lot. Near the intersection and light, so easy to get in and out, but have to watch out for cars coming and going. read more

Went on new years eve to but a birthday cake with my two little granddaughters. We were trying to decide what cake we wanted in the freezer. The cakes all were decorated differently. The lady tells me to close the freezer. I said we are just trying to pick a cake. She said they are all the same. I said no they are not.. There are different designs. I can't see them with the freezer closed. I picked one.. Closed the freezer and asked how many words can you fit on the cake. It is my son's new years eve birthday so I was thinking of putting something silly. Instead of her talking to me with respect.. She goes well it's not a book!! It's a cake. I did not want to go back at her with my grandchildren there so just did a basic happy birthday. She showed me and closed it... Then my granddaughters asked if she could put a heart on it. She was annoyed but dotted the I with a heart instead of just drawing a heart on the bottom... Well..I work in customer service and I understand that you deal with difficult people daily...I was not being difficult and did not deserve to be treated that way. You need to try to be a little softer when you work in an ice cream store... It's supposed to be a fun.. Friendly place to visit. Sorry that society has hardened you in this way... I needed a cake for my mothers birthday late Saturday afternoon. I checked the website and it said they need 36 hours for an order. So I went in Thursday night and the kids working there told me they couldn't do it. I told them it was more than 36 hours and they still said no. They obviously couldn't be bothered. This location better get some "adult" management in there. If a surprise inspector shows up, they may have problems. The young workers fool around, have their visiting friends behind the counter, touch their hair and faces! There are not many reviews, but two others have mentioned this unsanitary condition. Girls should have hair pulled back, and not touch it when serving ice cream. Young man must not wipe his nose on his arm while at the soft serve making a cone!
