I'd…read morehonestly say Dakota Tire is one of the very most reputable auto repair shops in the tri state area. I brought one of my pickups to them expecting a very expensive repair bill. Ended up there was absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission after all. Kirk just charged a minimal fee for their diagnosis. He could have very easily taken me for thousands of dollars doing all kinds of "repairs" on parts that had nothing wrong with them. I'm not going to go into all of the crooks at other shops in the auto repair field. Save yourself lots of frustration from being taken advantage of and bring your vehicle to Dakota Tire for ALL of your repair needs.

They told me a sway bar link was loose which costs $150 and a muffler hanger needed to be welded. I drove it and felt the knock in the front and figured it was the sway bar link. As it turns out it is the front struts which cost $1,400, plus the rotors are warped so another $350. JAQ's either lied and made up a story to explain the front end knocking to help Midwest Motors sell the van, or they are incompetent. Liars or incompetent. Take your pick and then pick another mechanic for your car.

I took it to the Subaru dealer and they determined the problem to be either the main engine computer or the battery. Paid JAQ's $290 for testing with no answers whereas I paid the dealer $100 for testing with answers and provided solutions. I will take it to the dealer from now on. While visiting JAQ's Garage on location, I found a very offensive picture of Donald Trump, our president, wearing no clothes and the line "POS! The emperor wears no clothes!". This sign is displayed out in the open underneath the JAQ's Garage logo next to the business. I find this extremely offensive and disgraceful especially for a business owner to display this sign. If a business owner holds democratic views and disagrees with the current President, he should keep his opinions to himself instead of displaying graphic nude pictures of our President in a disrespectful manner outside his place of business. I will no longer do business with JAQs garage and will not recommend them to my friends, colleagues, or family.

I do everything from replacing my injection spider to ball joints, Fuel pumps, Oil Pump Timing chain & Gears. You name it I do it. I had to replace the wheel brake cylinders on my van (they were leaking) and I decided I really wasn't set up for the job. I didn't have a hoist. I Called Pat at Advanced Alighnment and he quoted me a reasonable price. I took it in, They charged me exactly what I was quoted. They did a Fantastic job. I couldn't be happier. My vehicle has alot of miles on it and has a little Piston ring slap when warming up. Pat suggested a oil additive he found. He said it really worked for him and that he wouldn't have believed it if he didn't try it. I bought some of this additive. It WORKS! Crazy.... I have tried all kinds of oil additives and they all do about the same. Not this one. My Van engine feels like it has been overhauled. More Power, Smooth running, No piston ring slap. Very happy with Advanced Alignment. I Highly Recommend Them.

My brakes have had to be replaced 3 times in as many years and recently I had a serp belt replaced. The horrible squeaking sound continued immediately after we got the car back. My husband and I work and I am always swamped with taking our kids to their activities so no time to take veh' s in every time we turn around. My husband tried spraying some stuff on the belt to quiet it down. After that didn't work we brought it back in. The belt was loose! Instead of admitting they made a mistake JIM and Pat (the owner) got all irate and rude! My husband went there today to give them a second chance to keep our business and to get his truck a tune up. He attempted to discuss with the owner (Pat) about how I was treated by their employee and when JIM got involved with the conversation it blew up. My husband ended up taking his truck elsewhere. Sadly, my husband brought his veh' s there for years but since Mike sold the business to his brother, Pat, the quality and customer service has gone down hill. I worked for a BMW/Audi dealership.for 5 years as a Service Writer and this is NOT to treat customers! My husband has been a retail manager for over 25 years for the same company and obviously knows quality customwe service. Don't ever take your veh to this business.

I lost about 1 1/2 gallons before I could bring the car back. When I brought it back they pressure tested it. I suspect they may have repositioned or retightened the hoses, but the upshot is that the car doesn't leak anymore. They must have missed something the first time around but they were responsible and had the car back and fixed it without any extra charges. Car works, I'm glad

The company I work for had this company do all the maintenance on their vehicles so I have spent…read moresome time here. I had a personal job for spark plugs to do on my own vehicle and thought I could trust them. The spark plugs were a design flaw 2 piece design that break off in the heads. You need a special tool which is $100 so I asked them to do it. The service writer Justin said they had the tool and could do the work. After complete I asked him if they broke any spark plugs and he replied "We didn't break any" I said "Great" and drove away. A week later I started experiencing problems. P0420 code which is for Catalytic converter plugged. I replaced that and then got a P0171 code, which is too lean. After several parts I decided to pull the plugs. #6 and #8 were broke off in the head and had to be extracted. The two broken plugs were loose not like the others. After removing all 8 it was found that they did not do the job. I sent a picture to Justin and he denied that they did not do the job. He said that they would do the right thing and make it right, but when I spoke with Bruce the owner he was very rude and just wanted to pay me off for the labor and spark plugs. He also denied that they did not do the job. More recently my company requested a quote for catalytic converter on a bus where it had been cut off. Justin quoted us $597 over on the price of the converter alone. If you get work done here get a quote, check the pricing and check to make sure the work was done right. Also request that Technician #76 does not do any work. That was the technician that didn't do the work and lied about it. In the pics provided you can clearly see the difference between the old design and the new one. You can clearly see rust on the old plugs so they are not newly replaced. When I showed Bruce the plugs he tried to tell me maybe I received old stock and still denied that they did not do the work. So much for doing the right thing! I don't like writing bad reviews, but in this case I believe I should warn people since your vehicle is your lively hood. We need shops who we can trust. I understand things break but be transparent with your customers and don't blame them for your mechanics wrong doing.
