So we stopped here as a break in our road trip. I came in with my two sons and we were very excited to get my 4 y/o a rod. Also, some bait for some fresh water bass (whatever we catch) fishing. Spoke with David and let him know we are new and eager to get to it and learn. I saw really happiness in his eyes. David became a mentor/teacher. I cannot say how much David made an impact on me and my eldest son... he is truly a fisherman and wise beyond all his years. I wish I lived closer so he could teach us more!!! All this in an hour. He walked us through it all and left my son with a smile on his face as we walked out with his new rod. Now the guy in footwear with the thick mustache.. While on vacation saw their sign on the highway and decided to stretch my legs and check this location out. It was just as great as most of the others I have been too. The gun range (my fav) was fully operational, so I spent some time shooting with my family. The store had a huge waterfall that poured into a tank of local fish, and it was very picturesque and just like the whole store was very clean. Also, I loved the bathroom decor, which offered a tree line with a shadow effect and was also very tidy to use. The prices were the same as most locations, but since right after Christmas caught some great clearance items. Spent a few moments enjoying the beautiful fire in the fireplace we know and love in each location and had a nice photo op with the Holiday decor. Staff were very friendly. I came in here on 18 June 2025 at about 1:30 PM to buy a gun. They had what I was looking for. If you're looking for a Walther PDP, the this is your store... if you can get someone to help you. There was not a single person behind the counter. There was one employee walking around but never even said hello despite the fact there was a customer (me) standing at the case and looking No greeting. No offer to help. No other customer around. I was the only one. Pro tip: the guy looking at expensive firearms might be a place to focus. Lesson here, folks, is to shop local. BPS employs locals, for sure and that's great. But this national chain does not care about relationships. Shame on me for shopping at the WalMart for outdoors enthusiasts. Employees who don't care and are unhelpful. Bass Pro Shops are a pretty cool place to visit. The huge fish tanks, the animals, fishing/boating gear, guns, and clothing. MERICA!! What's not to like? This location had a restaurant at one time but is no longer open. Come to think about it, I have have been to this Bass Pro Shop about 10 times and have never bought a thing. The prices are always higher than what's online or locally at other businesses. Either way it's still good to "try things out" before you buy it. Then... if THAT'S not enough... there are 4 floors to peruse with various realistically accurate wildlife vignettes of stuffed animals in their natural habitats. There is a real waterfall feature that feeds in to a "river" of live fish and a huge fish tank. Even if you aren't the camping, outdoorsy type I would still suggest a visit...its a sight to behold. My first visit to a Bass Pro Shop. Wow. If they don't have it, somewhere in this super-sized store, you don't need it. They certainly had the firearm cleaner/solvent I was looking for, unlike several gun stores I had previously visited. Campers, boaters, hikers, outdoorsy folks, this is where it's at. I was also able to handle (and try not to salivate on) an absolutely gorgeous new Sig P320-M17 9mm pistol. It's good enough for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Border Patrol, CIA, and on and on, but banned by the current rancid crop of politicians in California. The firearms are all upstairs, and the staff is very willing to be of assistance. Oh my, an aquarium of world-class size is near the back of the store, complete with a waterfall. Benches are thoughtfully provided for the now-weary shopper. What a great place to relax. There are two floors, just jam-packed with merchandise of almost every category. Be advised, it's not a discount store. Bring money, folks, and plan on spending at least half a day in here. I sure did. read more

For years, I have loved Bass Pro Shop. Never had any issues, always had a good selection and solid items. Then I made a mistake that no one should ever fall victim to...do NOT EVER order online. We decided to go camping to surprise my 8 year old son. Since the trip was going to be the next day, we decided to do "store pickup" and grab some sleeping cots and supplies. Since I had to work, this would make it convenient for my wife to pop in and pick up the items. I made sure to select "In Stock" items only on the website and paid for my items. Later that morning she popped in and a few of the items were ready so she picked them up. They told her the rest of the items (except one) would be ready later that day (we were fine with the one item being later). So I dropped in after work to check on what was ready. Easy, right? WRONG. First off, they now told me most of the items were now shipping and wouldn't be in for weeks! Here's where it gets frustrating and why you should be wary...THE ITEMS ARE IN STOCK. And I was told I couldn't get them, they couldn't go pick them up and my only option was to PAY FOR THEM AGAIN and later get another refund! To give you an idea of how ridiculous this was...it was a $1300 order! So, I literally could've taken $1300 cash and walked in this morning and bought every item and been done in 30 mins, but me being "smart" decided to use their website and save some time. Yeah, right. I repeatedly told the store and their phone line that if ANYWHERE on the website had said "Items might be delayed" or "Low stock", I would've just gone to the store. Instead, I got a 2 hour lecture about how their retail stores, their website, and their shipping services all work apparently independently and don't have a clue what they're doing. I was told "we know it's a problem" so many times it was laughable and "we've been complaining about this for a long time." Well, never again. Whole order is cancelled (which of course, I have to wait for all the items to arrive at the store because they can't even cancel your order fast). I guess they figure there's plenty of people dropping $1300 on stuff to just wait for it to arrive a few weeks later that there's no reason to change. Sad, because before today, taking my kid to Bass Pro Shop to get some gear was a real treat. Way to go, corporate! read more

I love the concept of this store but sometimes it is more of a disappointment than a place to get what I need. I dont know if it is me but I cant always tell the items that are discounted. There may be a rack or a display with a sign that says 20% off but then I pick something from that rack, only to get to the register to find out that THIS PARTICULAR item wasn't included in the sale price. It is especially true in the clearance room (what used to be the restaurant). One time my father-in-law was trying to check out and was having trouble swiping his card and having it properly read, something that happens to all of us from time to time. I would expect that the staff would be helpful, maybe even enter the numbers manually, but not this time. So, he had to leave, go home and get another card, and go back. So, on one hand they do have fishing supplies that you cant get at other sports stores, and that is good. BUT, if you cant check out and the staff isnt being helpful then that kind of complicates things. So, not horrible, but certainly not as good as it gets. I think it would be nicer if all of the kid's stuff was in one area. It almost seems like they spread it out so I have to walk all over the store. That makes it better for them to possibly sell me things but makes it less convenient for me when Im doing my shopping. So, I will be back and Im glad they have the stuff they have but if a competitor opened up that carried some of the same stock, I certainly wouldnt consider myself loyal to this Bass Pro location and I even will probably do some more shopping online if these issues continue. read more

This is a great Bass Pro Shop and pretty much a tourist attraction right off of I10. Massive selection of all types of outdoor sporting goods. Huge fish tank, waterfalls, great murals and a General Store. Only downside are the prices on some items. Most shoes are priced 10-20 dollars compared to most online retailers. Well I'm trying to find a 2 man hunting stand for me and my grandson's to use to start hunting together drove all the way from Carriere, Ms 128 miles to enjoy a day and talk hunting and bow fishing... Needless to say it was a waste of time, waited around for 20 minutes to finally find a worker to say let's go check his recv area if he had any.... Try to ask him direct questions to only be told maybe it holds 600# and it goes up he thinks 18 1/2' up. Then asked if he had any literature on his stands? Was told if I wanted more info for me to go on line and search for it... Well I understand why brick and mortar stores are going out of business... I find Bass Pro shops carry a variety of products in a large open space. This particular location has a large but odd parking area.

It's hard not to be impressed with the sheer size, selection, range of quality, and cleanliness of this store. But it is difficult to be impressed that clearance plans shirts are $30 a piece after the markdown. The point I am making here is that Bass Pro Shops caters to a crowd of mostly outdoor enthusiasts and wanna-be outdoor enthusiasts - but they generally ought to be prepared to drop some serious money on whatever it is they want. Most items that can be found in other stores seem to have a significant markup. The size of the store from the amount of boats, fishing poles and apparel is only rivaled by an onsite restaurant, 20 foot deep aquarium complete with waterfall and a shooting video arcade. read more

Fun place to spend the day. From walking the huge expanse of this store to dining in their restaurant, there is so much to see and do here. The kids will enjoy the large shooting gallery where they can practice their aim at a country scene set up complete with wagon wheels, tin cans, and even an alligator that pops out if they hit the target light. There are benches set about the store where you can sit and enjoy the HUGE aquarium that has a waterfall that pours into it from above. Look closely and you will be able to spot a rock climber scaling the waterfall. Big Box store. But so cool. Just about anything you could want for outdoors here. They have a great shooting section, but it is more catered to hunters than it is target/competitive type shooting. Reloading supplies are somewhat ok, as far as "in stock" products. The store itself is super cool. I love that fact that EVERYTHING the store is made of is from repurposed materials. They have a bbq sauces and spices section that is amazing!!! The prices are a little on the higher end but not out of control. All in all it's worth a trip out here just for the experience. It's definitely worth a stop if your in the area. However!, if your looking for something specific, give them a call first, they might not carry it if it's something a little obscure. read more

I do wish they would have a "gun library" like Cabelas where they offer used guns so you would have the chance to possibly find some nice old milsurp firearms. They have quite a few departments from shoes to beach gear to clothes and home goods, etc., but just be warned that despite having so many departments, there isn't that much variety in what is offered. While the sales person was helpful in my purchase of binoculars, I was very annoyed to find that there was only one cashier during this holiday season. The service upstairs was very poor when you have to wait 8 minutes or more to be helped, not once, but twice and on second there were more than us waiting. The store itself is great. If you go during the week there is absolutely no customer service. I would have spent more money if there was a sales representative. In the restaurant we ordered food our drink order came back wrong ordered a root beer they were out. Ordered fried shrimp they were very much over cooked and right out of a box and it seems that some were under a heat lamp. Walking out I asked for a toothpick they said they don't carry them. There is a pond with huge fish of all different variety, and it's decorated to look just like the outdoors. Why only two stars? Because it is all decoration. Most of this shit is from China, and you can kiss my ass china. There is something different about enjoyment and exploit. When it comes to our natural world, the only way to describe it is partaking in it. You witness wilderness. You become a part of it. Your God given senses are used to heighten an experience of being a part of something larger than us and realize we are not here to just let machines dominate everything for us. When you go to a place like this, everything is done for you. And do you know who is doing it for you? The Chinese that's who. Bass Pro used to sit on a land that was beautiful, and now thay had to import pine needles for decoration so people can buy shit that came from half way across the world. Yeah all the stuff there is cool. They have a gun selection to lust after.... I'm just bitter at the contrast of the real outdoors and the one you pay for.
