If you're already familiar with the Batch Coffee in Chenango, this place is essentially the same, just with a smaller menu. Most of the drink options are the same (with the addition of smoothies and energy drinks) and the food is limited to things like pastries and bagels. All in all, pretty appropriate for grab-and-go. However, I will note that I walk by this place every day when I go to the Lourdes gym, so I've noticed some things. While I appreciate that their smoothies have the option for added protein for the end of my gym sesh, their hours end at 4pm each weekday, which is when most people start filing into the gym after work. I suppose that's great for my own wallet, but that means I only have the opportunity to get a post-workout smoothie on a weekend afternoon because they're already closed by the time I can make it there most days. The smoothies themselves taste pretty good, but there's been numerous times when I had to wait like 10 minutes for it because they started making other peoples' coffee orders even though I was first in line (and no, it's not like they're multitasking; they genuinely just skip my order until they're done with the coffees). Plus, most of the time, there are lumps of peanut butter or banana that weren't properly blended, either. Of course I'll be back again and again, but not as often as I'd genuinely want to be because of the hours.

Coffee and Matcha drinks were very good bagels and cream cheese. Excellent but they need to get a cinnamon and raisin bagel on the menu

Food was good, but I had a really bad experience with the service and the manager. I went there for…read morelunch last Friday, (Jan. 9th, 2026) and ordered a wrap and a bottle of beer. I asked if I could have the Mexican salsa sauce instead of Dijon mustard on my wrap. My server behind the bar, , (who is also the manager), said no problem, but there might be a few black beans in the sauce, she made no mention of any extra charge for simply using a different sauce. When she gave my check, she had added $5.50 , just for salsa instead of Dijon mustard . When I protested, and asked her to remove the charge, she refused, and was very rude to me. I didn't use bad language, or behave in a threatening manner. A female friend of hers, who was seated at a nearby table, with two men, joined in, and they both ganged up on me. Since I was using a credit card, I had no choice but to accept the added charge. I told her that what she was doing is a practice called "Padding" a check, to beef up the bill. I asked her if this is how she was trained, and her answer was, "I didn't have to be trained, this is how I do things" . I was in the middle of gathering together my belongings, and putting on my coat, to leave, and she came around the bar to my side, and said, "Let's go, you're not leaving fast enough", (Quote) I left, as soon as I had my coat on. She also said that there was a problem, a few days earlier, when I came in for a quick beer, before catching my bus. Well, guess what that "Problem" was ? The draft beer was totally flat, and warm, and all I did was let them know, and asked for a bottled beer instead. I did what any customer would reasonably be expected to do. Before I left, she told me, "Don't come back ". This is horrendous treatment of a customer, especially coming from a manager. P.S. Jan. 15th, 2026 - I am responding to a few points in yesterday's reply from the business owner to my complaint: 1. She said I was expecting an add on for free. This is erroneous, because I didn't even think of a different sandwich sauce as an "Add-On", which it should not be. 2. Saying I added Beyond sausage to my burrito, which is an "extra charge" Again, erroneous, Beyond wrap is $13.25, and Bean Burrito is $12.95, so it's fair to say that they're both the same price. What I actually ordered was the Beyond sausage wrap, and merely requested the Burrito sauce instead of Dijon mustard. What the manager did was bill me for a Bean Burrito, $12.95, and added a "side beyond sausage", and charged me an extra $5.50 for what was supposed to just be the Burrito sauce, which is not in my opinion a legitimate "Side". 3. Saying that I should have asked if there would be an "Up Charge". It's the responsibility of the server to let the customer know, that there will be extra charge, it's not the responsibility of a customer to ask.

This choice was…read morebasically accomplished by using Google and seeing the massive list of places in the area and choosing one we haven't been to yet. Oh my gosh I'm glad we did this one.. Isn't much to look at when you walk in but it's basically a diner so what do you really expect? . Menu isn't huge but what they do they do very well. First thing I noticed when the breakfast came to the table was that the potatoes were fried in butter. A lot of places we have gone to use a little oil on the flat top, nope this place uses butter. And not that cheap imitation butter either they use some real butter. Those potatoes were incredible. We both had the steak and eggs, we both ordered the steak or air which for a breakfast steak is about a 25 second window before it's overcooked, and these guys nailed it. Everything else we had was really good including the French toast. A lot of places have it rather soggy, this wasn't crispy but it was well, let's just say less soggy. We asked him about other things we like for example the sausage biscuits and gravy which they only do on Saturday so we have to go back now. I also want to try their breakfast sandwiches because I was talking to them about these, and for those that are in this area that remember a place on I think Broad Avenue called Pasquale's.. well Pasquale's used to have the best breakfast sandwiches, and the Clinton diner here is telling me that they make theirs a little bit bigger. Definitely has my interest peaked. So anyway yes, I definitely recommend this place. The prices were not too bad really, all of the food we have here I think was about $30. For two steaks, and basically a third order of French toast, I'd say not too bad.

They told me they use a special blend of 2 kinds of freshly roasted beans to get a perfect flavor. We were just in time for a fresh pot! Coffee was hot and fresh. Not quite as strong as we usually prefer but it was perfect to sip and kept us caffeinated on our morning drive. Plus at $2 a cup it was a steal. If we are around here again we would absolutely try their breakfast.
