Dr. Wirkkula was recommended…read moreto us, so I called the Adrian Family Care Clinic I spoke with the receptionist and asked to make an appointment for my husband. She asked for his birth date, and I let her know that he would not be in the system as he would be new patient. She asked me if his medical records have been sent over to the clinic. I explained to her that my husband does not have any medical records because he, to this point, has not needed medical care. Coming up on 50, he thought maybe it was time to have a physical. She asked again, he hasn't been seen by a doctor in the past three years, and I said no. She then began telling me how the clinic does not treat pain and does not prescribe medicine for chronic conditions with a very sarcastic voice. I let her know that he does not take any medication and asked her because he doesn't have any medical records he can't be seen by the doctor. She again said that the clinic does not prescribe pain meds. I was flabbergasted by her insinuation of drug seeks. She said she could take my husband's information and it would be up to the doctor if he would take him on as a patient. I declined and said we would move on to another recommendation in the area. We will be avoiding any Family Care Clinics. I believe the receptionist needs some additional training on the "Mission, Vision and Values" statement which in part states the below: Values - Who We Are Compassion--Show sincere care and kindness for those we serve. Respect--Treat everyone with dignity. Smile--Always be friendly.

I rushed my mother to the ER here a few weeks ago. She had a rapidly developing tooth infection…read morethat was causing her so much pain and she was nauseous and started to pass out. When we got to the waiting room, she hit the deck... face down on the floor and unresponsive to touch. She was taken back, where the staff proceeded to essentially tell fart jokes for 2 hours while she was passing in and out of consciousness face down on her hospital bed. She begged them multiple times to help her and they proceeded to laugh a bullshit with each other in the other room. At about the 2 hour mark, she had enough... and walked out and yelled at them. They agreed to help. Then continued to delay and talk amongst themselves. It had been roughly 3 hours when she decided she needed to leave. Wr began walking out as the staff made rude remarks behind us. As we got to the parkinglot I approached my vehicle and opened the door. I asked my mother a question and got no answer. She was lying facedown on the pavement behind us... she had fainted again from the pain. I picked her back up as she regained consciousness and carried her back into the waiting room begging the staff for help. They proceeded to give me lip. She passed out again and hit the floor. The head nurse is now arguing with me while my unconscious mother lays in the waiting room floor between us. I grabbed my phone to film and was threatened by the doctor "it's a federal offense to film in a hospital" He didn't want evidence of what he was doing. Police were called on me and I was escorted off the property, unable to stay with or pick up my horribly sick mother who I was now certain had acquired at least one concussion. She was wheeled back while a fat lady copy and some 5'3 beta midget dwarf patrolman told me that if I tried to come get her, I'd be arrested. I went home... tried talking to my mom... she was still being given the runaround. Her friend caught news or what was happening... walked in there and threatened to Sue. The doctor exclaimed something along the lines of "oh please she just needs an ibuprofen" My mothers friend pryed her mouth open to reveal a disgusting inflamed section of gums surrounding my mother's tooth. She was given an antibiotic shot immediately and was taken home. It goes without saying... but I'm taking you guys to the cleaners in court. $1M for every IQ point my mother lost when she banged her head off the pavement, on your waiting room floor, and everywhere else. That Doctor should be in prison. And I don't know his name... but if he reads this... a night in jail is a small price to pay for correcting the attitude of someone who thinks it's okay to hurt a man's mother. Had I been a less forgiving person, you would have been wheeled back there right next to her to wait 5+ hours for help. Guy belongs in h#ll. Truly. God forbid... If he gets someone on drugs in there or frankly anyone without iron self restraint... he will also need a dentist and a whole bunch of veneers. I think about how likely that is to happen in a place like Nevada and it cheers me up a bit.

We hadn't been in MO even a year yet, my other two boys were born in OH. I had to switch my OBGYN care from a clinic I absolutely loved to one that didn't have the greatest of reviews. Even though I had gone through pregnancy, labor/delivery anyone that's had a baby knows that care during the whole process makes a huge difference. I didn't have the most amazing first impression I will say but I stuck with it. Boy am I glad I did... First off I want to say my primary experience was with the midwives. I saw the DO's as that is the clinic policy but I choose the midwife route. Amazing... they are absolutely amazing. The midwives that is. I never met with one that I didn't love. Emily delivered me and she was phenomenal. I couldn't be happier that this time I made the choice to switch to see the midwives, out of all 3 births this by far was the best. Aside from the wonderful Mrs. Emily, the rest of the staff at this hospital were also nothing short of amazing. Welcoming for one but just downright caring. On top of their stuff and just went above and beyond all my expectations. I specifically want to brag on the nurses! Omg... I could not have given birth the way I did without them. They were so supportive and helpful in every way. I had Amelia and Maddie... their care has forever left an impact on me. So special to have people that care so much and love what they do. Its awesome to be able to leave and have such good memories you'll treasure forever because of the awesome people that were apart of your experience. Ive typed enough, but I am literally just so beyond thankful. I went from being skeptical and nervous to completely blown away and so amazed! After checking in, I was then directed to Diagnostic Imaging to check in there as well. I waited for about 20 minutes before approaching the front desk to ask if they were running behind, as I had been instructed to arrive with a full bladder for the exam. The receptionist called back to check on the delay and informed me it would likely be another 10 minutes. She encouraged me to go ahead and use the restroom, then drink more water in hopes that my bladder would be full again by the time I was called back. Unfortunately, because I had specifically prepared for the appointment as instructed and was unsure how much longer the delay would be, I chose to reschedule and leave since I needed to pick my kids up from daycare by 4. Better communication regarding the delay would have been appreciated.

I have attempted to get in touch with someone at this facility to make a formal report, without success, go figure. In the emergency room, instead of following Stormont Vail's stated values, a physician told our family that we could "take our loved one elsewhere" if we didn't like something, rather than taking the time to answer questions, address concerns, or actively listen. That response alone speaks volumes. This facility has taken a noticeable dive and is not the Stormont it once was. When families are scared and advocating for their loved ones, dismissiveness is unacceptable. If you're given the same advice, take it. We recommend taking your loved ones to University of Kansas - St. Francis Campus, where care and communication would be markedly better. I could go on and on about this experience. When I have more time, I plan to return to this and share additional details. Until then swerve this place entirely.

He ordered a reuben which he called outstanding. I ordered a cheese burger Medium and it was a real surprise. The only thing that kept me from ordering another was this one was filling on its own.
