The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is due to them always running out of my shade of the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation (3.5) and they discontinued supplying the hair products I was used to using (smelt amazing, Sweet).

It's not easy to see from one department to the other due to solid walls throughout the center of the store. That made it challenging to find the men's department without help. Once there, there is a lot and they do have some prices but it's all quite high due to the BOGO on offer. I just want ONE shirt, why are you making me buy two of them? After checking several different displays and the clearance area, I decided to go without. If you're looking to fill a wardrobe, then this would work. Next, this JCPennys has Bismarck's only Sephora. Although I'd love a big Sephora, this mini Sephora does the trick! The guest service is meh. It is okay. Hence, the 3 Stars given. Sometimes the employees just stand around and joke around with each other when clearly there's a line building for checkout. Sometimes there's nobody around to ask for assistance. Overall, this place is well maintained. This JCPennys has been an anchor store of the Kirkwood Mall for forever, so it's kind of dated. It would be cool if it was revamped a little. I went into this store to find a birthday gift for my niece. There was no one else in the store…read moreexcept the owner who introduced herself as Becky. I waited for nearly 15 minutes while she was texting or something on her phone to ask her a question about her bath bombs. When she finally did help me she seemed irrelevant to be interrupted. I bought 3 bath bombs and a Cami stick. The owner asked if I had tried her foaming hand soap and was really pushy for me to try it. She mentioned how hard it was for small businesses to "make it" was rude when I paid with my credit card because of the "fees it cost" her and asked if I had cash instead which I did not. I felt obligated to try her hand soap because she was "struggling" financially. I do not have sensitive skin but her hand soap instantly made my hands tingle and they started turning red. I have never had anything like that happen before so I instantly started rinsing the soap off as fast as I could. My hands were burning and very red where the soap had touched. The owner was watching this and trying to help me rinse it off. I just wanted to leave at this point. She apologized rudely but insisted it was just me and my skin not anything in her product that would cause the reaction. I just wanted to leave. With my hands on fire I started to leave and the owner "Becky" insisted I pay for the bottle of hand soap she previously had declared a "sample test bottle". I was apauled and told her I was paying for something I wasn't taking with me and I didn't even want to take item. Why would anyone want an item that was obviously used before (it was half 3/4 full) that I wasn't buying??? She became even more rude and very angry so I took ten dollar bill out my pocket and put it on her counter. I told her to keep her soap and started to leave She yelled at me as I was leaving "I thought you didn't have any cash!" Needless to say I threw the bath bombs in the garbage with the chapstick. I went to the clinic within an hour of using the toxic soap and was told it was a "severe" reaction to the foaming hand soap. My doctor also confirmed this is not a normal allergic reaction and there was a harsh chemical in the soap in extremely concentrated high levels to cause a reaction that severe. I will never step I to BB's Bath Bakery again and I encourage everyone to spend their money at a reputable store. AVOID this Bath HACKERY and the poison she sells!

I saw three young girls in the middle aisle towards the back by hair coloring. I picked up my braiding hair and made a decision in an estimated time for 50 seconds and was never approached. While shopping my son is getting agitated so I placed my items on the counter because one till had a sign saying it was closed. I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible because I was afraid my son would wreck the place. As i stand there not once was my husband,my son or myself were acknowledged. My husband tries to approach the girls trying to figure out who works there but we couldn't tell. Finally I approach them by yelling by the curling irons "DO ONE OF YOU WORK HERE?!" Then a very inconvenience way one of the girls replied "I do?!" As if how dare I interrupt her as she's having a conversation with a customer. I informed her that I'm ready to check out and she said she'll be there when she's done, she's helping someone right now. Then continue to apologize to the two girls she was speaking with the entire time. If i didn't need my items right then I would have left them there and never returned. If anyone wanted to steal from the store they could have. She was no where near the cash wrap or even watch the door. I'm a form store manager for Ulta beauty and I know personal this isn't the way Sally's does business. My husband is as well a store manager in town and we both could not believe what was happening. They young lady apologized to me once she came to the front and by that time I was completely disgusted by that point and wanted no parts. She told me to have a nice day. I've been to this location before during the day and had a lovely experience. I guess going there in the evening isn't the best time.

I don't really like going in this store, it's crowded and awkward. Also, the workers are usually gossiping pretty loud and almost seem annoyed sometimes when you are ready to check out. Other than that, it's ok. I've had a good one now and then. Hair selection is neat, however any makeup I've gotten there has been subpar.
