A good Bath & Body Works location with friendly service and plenty of products in stock. Consistent with a more premium experience, there were no empty shelves and all the products were neatly arranged in attractive looking displays. There were staff who asked if needed help from time to time, but this wasn't excessive so it was easy to casually browse and smell different products. As the store wasn't super busy (it seems the mall locations tend to be a lot more crowded) the overall shopping experience was more pleasant as I didn't have trouble moving between displays and the noise level was pretty good. AROMATHERAPY The myriad candles and lotions at Bath & Body Works will have you (and your house) smelling like a sunset breeze. Along with just about every other mall in America, the Bolingbrook Promenade has a B&BW. In the mall's open-air layout, this in the same area as Mago Grill & Cantina and next door to sister store Victoria Secret (no surprise there). I've been in a few times, my wife a couple times more than I, and on each occasion the sales associates were friendly and we've usually found something worth buying. Last trip, I saw a 'pumpkin pecan waffle' candle, which sounds like something I'd try.....y'know, to see if it tastes as good as it sounds and smells. Their travel-size hand sanitizers are great for the car/diaper bag/office/etc. At some point in the past I've bought gift sets here which come with lotion, body mist, shower gel, and hand cream. These are great as holiday stocking stuffers, for Mother's Day, or Valentine's Day. I believe 3-wick candles were on sale for $14 (normally $27). Every time I think that seems like a lot for scented wax in a jar, I remind myself they last a good long while and can make our home smell like a piña colada for the entire month of January. * TL;DR * It might be the bergamot and sandalwood in the air, or maybe it's how Bath & Body Works stocks the foaming hand soaps in a rainbow pattern, but something about coming here is just so darn satisfying. Their candles run the gamut from pine tree to pineapple, and the self-care products have aromas that are just as varied. Personally, I'm a fan of the 'Ocean' fragrance--blue cypress, vetiver, coastal air--to the point where I would add it to my Xmas wishlist. let me start by saying I LOVE Bath & Body works but I have to complain here because I saw no other way to comment to them directly. I was happy to see that I got a free body care gift for my birthday however it was with a purchase (I don't remember that in the past ). OK, the hand soaps were a great deal so I tried to purchase them to get my free gift but the body care items were more than the $10 max I could use for my "free" gift and I couldn't get the code to apply so they can keep my birthday gift!!!. I am a fan of Bath & Body Works. Some of the scents they come up with are pretty offensive, but they certainly do not lack for creativity: lava- pineapple, burnt breakfast (oh wait, that was my house this morning, not this store yesterday). Anyway, some of the smells they put together are strange. But, the roasted marshmallow leaves you craving S'mores 24/7. Usually you are greeted upon entering and someone is readily available to assist you in a most astounding demonstration of what's on sale. "Buy 3, get 3 free" "3 for $20", I mean, really, how do they keep it all straight because it is never the same whenever I go in? It is a chain, some stores are bigger, but this one is bright and not too large. They do discontinue some totally awesome scents and are sticklers about the coupons, "Sorry, that expired 30 seconds ago." It is a happy place. read more

Can't say enough about this store not that I buy a whole lot there but about twice a year?? I go there and get my favorite True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream. It is a Shea butter formula and it super rich and wonderful! I switched to this when my Kiehl's cream got crazy expensive! Very similar and a fraction the cost!! They always give me coupon to call in for $10 off $30 which I keep in my wallet for next time and it does not expire! Which is great!! Then when you go there they always have some in store incentive?? Today was when you buy 2 True Blue products get 1 free. So I got 50% off with the other coupon on top of it. Great deal, nice girls! They usually throw in some hand sanitizer or some other cheap little thing they have by the register. Very sweet! I always appreciate their helpfulness! read more

The store is small and a little cluttered compared to other stores I've visited in the past. The setup could be better, and the samples to smell were all over or couldn't be located. The biggest turn-off for me was the staff members. I realized that the staff showed up to work during these times of COVID, and for that, I am grateful, but so did we as customers (we showed up so you could turn a profit), and we should be shown gratitude as well. The staff members were rude and not inviting. We didn't get a greeting or welcome. It was "what are you looking for today." I said, "wallflowers." So the lady pointed my husband, three-year-old son, and myself in the direction of the wallflowers and was watching us like a hawk. I felt so uncomfortable and angry, and the only reason I didn't address the situation was because of my son being there. I didn't want him to know what was going on and have him traumatized like so many others feel going to shop at a store and spend their hard-earned money to only be treated like crap. And it doesn't help that we were the only Blacks in the store (so yeah, there's that fact). My family and I were in the area on Halloween Day, and because of COVID and this mall is closest to our home, we decided to kill two birds with one stone and allow our son to dress up in his costume while getting some shopping done. Let's face it... some shopping can't be done online, and I had to smell what scents I wanted to purchase. After the reception my family and I received, I felt like returning these items and purchasing them online. I had a coupon for a free item to use, but I said I didn't want to look for the coupon on my phone; I just wanted to get my family and me out of there. The customers were friendlier than the staff and even complimented my son's costume (his first-time trick or treating, due to his age and Covid-19 last year). They need to learn customer service etiquette, and it speaks volumes on the precedence and standards of store management. Learn some manners. read more

Best employees of any Bath & Body Works location. I was greeted when I walked in the door, and even though I spent so much time smelling candles my nose almost bled, I wasn't pestered again. Hallelujah! The girl at the front of the store asked if I wanted to sample a new fragrance. I heard the word "amber" and declined. She told me about the candle sale and - again, let me shop! I asked her a question about my coupon, and she showed me where to find the free item. I love the sales on the jar candles and stocked up on my favorite fall scent, "Leaves." I also purchased a few scent portables for my car, and another employee helped me find more of an apple scent that was out of stock on one display. This B&BW has the same selection as any other store, including a small and organized clearance section. Checking out went smoothly. B&BW accepts Victoria's Secret credit cards since they are under the same ownership. However, I never carry my VS card on me. VS stores have looked up my card info with a driver's license before, but when I asked the cashier about this, she seemed very nervous and instead of telling me they "couldn't" do it, she said she wasn't "allowed" to. I read her nervousness as saying, "I don't know how!" especially when she added, "but I could look it up if it were a debit card." This makes zero sense, since VS and B&BW don't have debit cards! I know a lot of their employees are seasonal newbies, so I wasn't upset that she didn't know how, I was annoyed that she lied to me - or at least I feel like she did. Overall, I still like this location better than ANY other store in probably a 30-mile radius. read more

The store is great, the set up is great, the scents are great, the workers... not so great. I was here on Saturday and i walked in and i didn't get greeted and i never got any help while i was shopping. If anything 2 of the workers, older women, were standing there and it looked like they were bickering and they kept looking at me while doing so, so a natural human response would be that they're talking about you. They just gave me bad vibes and i wanted to get out of there ASAP. I checked out i bought 2 candles, car scents, and perfume, which all smell AMAZING. And when the woman at the register asked me if someone helped me, unfortunately i had to say no. I do love bath and body works. My favorite scents are Endless Weekend, Mahogany Teakwood, Love and Sunshine , and Noir for men. Hopefully they don't get rid of those. read more

Pushy associates!! You can't even browse the store in peace without one of the employees pushing you to buy one of their products! Argh!! Annoying! I realize they're trying to sell and I'm ok with that, but please don't be so desperate to sell, because it's pathetic. They're attentive (when they are trying to get you to buy) but they're approach is a bit aggressive. The many times I have come into the store, it has been completely empty. Well, I can see why.. They're so nice to you as soon as you step inside the store, but as soon as you swipe that credit card to make that purchase, they pretend they don't know you and they're smile turns into a frown. Everyone had a smile on their faces and it was such an easy time shopping not having people always asking you if you need anything or following you around. I can't stay in this store for more than ten minutes at a time due to complete olfactory overload. I usually make a trek in here once a year around the holidays to do last minute "Oh crap, I forgot to buy something for that person" shopping. Since there is a perpetual buy 3 get one free sale, it makes it a tad bit easier on the pocketbook. I have found a few scents of body wash and lotions that I enjoy as well, like the Amber, Blackberry Amber, and the Anti-Bacterial collection. But the aforementioned sale is very confusing at times, since there are only certain products that are included. read more

Manager comes out from the back for a minute to help with a difficult transaction 3 people ahead of me, then walks back to the back again. Line still waiting. I stood in line waiting for 14 minutes. What was Christine and the other girl doing? What kind of customer service is this? Another customer went to the door and started knocking, which went ignored. This location is beautiful! I love the entire area. The store is setup pretty nicely (it seems like a lot of other locations are setting up the same way where candles are in one room and everything else is in another). In terms of location, cleanliness, and overall organization, this store is a slam dunk! In terms of employees though, I have to agree with another review that the employees are a bit pushy. I'm not sure if Limited Brands (the company who owns stores like Bath & Body Works) changed the way things are done and employees are possibly on commission now, but I definitely see a difference in the obvious aggression to make sales now versus 5-7 years ago. The associate who helped me was named Carolynn, and although she was nice, I can sense that phony, sales motivated characteristic. I honestly like to shop in peace and if I need help, I'll ask for it, but I just don't feel like I'm given that opportunity anymore with this store (not just this location, but Bath & Body Works in general). read more
