First of all, the gentleman working the booth was more attentive to the young girls that walked in minutes after I did then my old 40 year old self and my mother. Secondly, we all understand freedom of speech and having your own political beliefs is your right. But, when you make it a part of your advertising constantly, even for those who slightly agree with what you are using to pull people in, it is a turn off.

This is such a neat store -- crystals, candles, jewelry, incense, stones, oils, herbs, tarot cards,…read moreetc. All sorts of "new age" items that smell wonderful and are pretty to look at. Even if you're not into spiritualism or healing crystals or anything metaphysical, this is a lovely place to find a gift -- maybe one for yourself, too. There are books as well. We enjoyed looking at everything. Tina, the co-owner, told us all about the store and showed us around. She even showed us their reiki area. I wasn't familiar with this "healing therapy" so was fascinated by the sounds of the crystal bowls and gongs, etc. that are used. I could easily see trying this some time as a relaxing way to relieve stress. I've probably left some things off that they have -- it's a small space artfully arranged, but with a lot of inventory. I've already told some friends who live in the area that they should stop by to check it out. (Note I think they take vacation mid to end of February, so you might want to call first). The owner was an extremely nice woman who makes a lot of the shell art in the shop. Her work is simply amazing! I'm sad that I was trying to be polite by not photographing all the gorgeous artwork. While she was ringing up my purchases, she said she encourages "copying" and people photographing everything in the shop. She shared a few tips with me that she's learned along the way and I really appreciated the info for my own artwork. This shop is a MUST to check out when visiting Sanibel Island.
