Very creative and it's a good gift to buy for loved ones. These design-your-own shops are very rare to find nowadays and this is a good way to spend time with your friends and family and learn how candles are made. Love this place and would love to visit again. As of right now, they only take cash, but will get into taking debit/credit cards soon.

They let me help with dipping a candle and even showed me how to shape a candle too. The pieces they have on display are very pretty and the colors are absolutely beautiful. We ended up buying three candles with an LED flame less candle light to put in the bottom part. They said that they want to eventually host classes for little ones which sounds exciting because my daughter had fun playing with the soft wax. Overall very nice people and their product is very good handmade quality. Look forward to visiting them in the future to see what else they will be offering.

That kind of quality for that price isn't something you come by often in this day and age. There are so many things that you can get all at this one store! I can't even name them all. I'll give it a small try. You can get stones, so many to choose from. You can get clothes, earrings, necklaces, tarot cards, a plethora of books on many different subjects, incense, etc.. If you like metaphysical stores, you need to check this one out! This is one of my favorites.

Reluctantly rating Bowes Candles as "Not good" on the basis that I have not received the item I…read morepaid for, and I have been given no solution but to pay more money in order to receive it. I visited the lovely shop in-person to purchase three scent oils. When I got home to the UK, I discovered that they had given me an incorrect product with the wrong label. I emailed Bowes my $19.17 receipt and asked if I could return the oil for an exchange (as long as shipping and import fees were covered). Bowes offered to send a replacement, or for me to have online store credit. However, Bowes declined to cover the import fees I would be charged for either solution, because they could not determine what they would cost. This was understandable, so I asked for a simple refund to save us all the hassle. Bowes also declined to provide a refund. We went back and forth for over 2 weeks, with 13 emails. I kept trying to suggest workarounds that they might be happy with and wouldn't mean I had to spend more money, but these were not acknowledged. Bowes' tone was friendly, but it soon felt robotic, and they showed zero expression of understanding towards the fact that they were giving me no option but to pay towards the process of fixing their mistake. It is my understanding that, according to business standards, when a business does not fulfil their end of the sale, the resolution for their failure should not leave the customer financially disadvantaged. In the end, I politely told them that I would withdraw and leave a review, but I wanted to give them one last chance. I said "are you able to offer a solution to Bowes' mistake that will not leave me financially disadvantaged (i.e. spending money on the import fee)? As mentioned, I would be glad to engage to figure out something that works for us both." It has now been a week, and I have received no response. All this could have been resolved for both parties if Bowes had just sent a refund, but they did not even acknowledge the predicament they had put me in, and now I am $19.17 short. I would be willing to remove this review if Bowes gets back in touch to resolve the issue accordingly.

I said The Grand Floridian so she brings us to a candle section that has the same scent as the hotel. Under Disney guidelines, they can't call the candle The Grand Floridian Candle but she gives us a nudge saying this is the same scent. I bought three items, one for my son who loves The Boardwalk Hotel. I have my purchase, The Grand Floridian Car Scent. I'm on the plane doin' a happy dance: My car is gonna smell like Disney. Woo hoo! Yeah.. For a day. The scent was so weak! When I came back to Disney during Christmas, I went back to the store and said there's no scent in these items. The counter woman apologized and gave us a small bottle to add more scent. I went home, I added a bunch of liquid to this thing. I'm still not getting anything that smells like a Disney hotel.

I…read morehad visions of mixing a potion and ending up like Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove and ending with a comedic disaster. Happy to say, that was not the case! From the minute I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at the welcome, setup, clear instructions and the wall of scents to choose from! Lots of variety from softer, cleaner scents to deep, rich scents (looking at you dark chocolate) that made the selection process fun and engaging. Once you've selected 2-4 scents, you're able to select your candle's vessel-- prices vary based on size and design. Once at my lab desk (a little chemistry joke) I was able to smell the scents again individually and combined to determine if the final scent is my desired aroma. I went for a softer, romantic smelling candle and was happy with the scents combined. Using a measuring tool and a steady hand, you're able to fill your measuring device to the perfect blend for your delight. I did have to secure some help from the experts since I went rogue at one point- she expertly helped to bring the balance back. We stirred our scents and base to the right consistency and then poured into our candle container. You can even customize further at that point as well! I had such a great time and so grateful for the Artifact team for making it a special event! P.S. Garage parking or street parking available as needed. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my candle I made and it is lasting a long time and the glitter add-on makes it sparkle beautifully. The price is just way more than what you feel like you get out of it. The entire process took about 15 minutes and that was it, you come back in a few hours to pick up your candle. It just felt like it fell short for the price, but my candle does smell amazing.
