Came here for a mother-daughter date and we had a great time. You start off by smelling the different scents they have and writing down your favorites. A staff member will then help you curate a custom scent by choosing several different fragrances. Once you decide on which combo you like, you measure out how much oil of each you want added. Then pour your oil mixture into the melted wax and stir until combined. You'll pour the melted wax into the vessel of choice and name your new candle! The candles are on the pricier side but I think we have to remember that Artifact is using high quality ingredients. They use soy wax, which if you don't know tends to be a better alternative than other waxes. Also, the essential oils seem concentrated as the scents are very strong. You definitely get out of the experience of what you put in. We were interacting and joking with the staff which made the experience extra fun and special. I highly recommend if you're into candles. I can't wait to pick up our candle in a couple of days!
So I was taken here for my birthday and OMG had the most amazing experience making candles! The staff was so amazing and the experience was phenomenal. I am addicted and will be back for sure for some holiday candles

Artifact is the spot you have been looking for, the staff is so nice and the experience is lovely to share with others. Came here on a date night and it was the perfect starting activity to an evening with multiple stops. So many scents to select from for endless combinations opportunities. Will definitely be back. PRO TIP: the candles take 2 hours to set so if you want to take them home same day, be sure to book your appointment at least 3 hours before they close.
My wife and I tried Artifact Candle Foundry as a pre-dinner date night activity. We had a good time picking out scents and making personalized candles. The staff is very helpful and will assist you in tailoring your candle to your personal style. There are more scents than you could ever want, so take your time. You will have to wait a few hours for your candle to dry, so plan a return trip to pick up the finished product. Would definitely recommend. A+

This place was so so so fun!! We were in Orlando for a bachelorette weekend and wanted a unique activity for Saturday afternoon. Candle making seemed like it would be fun and I'm so glad we did it!! Everyone was knowledgeable and patient. There were tons of scents to choose from - everything from the staples (like sandalwood or sea breeze) to the creative (like cannabis or fresh fallen snow). Artifact is on one of the main roads in winter park and actually the road was blocked off because of a parade. Sooooo parking was very hard (that day only... I'm sure usually parking is so easy) and we were very late. But the staff was completely understanding and even figured out a way to get us out candles because our time had been eaten away a little. So grateful for their customer service. We came in flustered but left feeling great! I definitely recommend Artifact for a girls night out, date night, or just a way to get creative and have a little fun. I hope they put one of these in south Florida!

It was a very vague conversation with the staff about the candle making process. Too fast for the price you pay!!! I really wanted to love this place but they lack in service.

I brought my sister here for her birthday ( Christmas). We were greeted by the staff and they explained to use the process. We were asked to wear mask during the Covid pandemic which was ok for us. They had about 100 different scents to choose from. After making our selections, the staff gave suggestions that would make our candles even better. After the two hour molding process we arrived back at the store to pick up the candles. We spent about 30 mins there but you can easily take your time and spend an hour there. I believe that the candles were worth the price and the experience was different yet enjoyable.
The candle making assistants were very helpful with helping our group to find the perfect candle scents. They helped add and subtract scents to make it amazing. We had a blast smelling all of the samples and crafting the candles.

I loved sampling the different scents and creating my own candle. Our guide made it pretty easy to do so. You customize everything! From the jar your candle will be in to the scent to the name. It was so much fun. You do have to pick up the candle a tad bit later since the wax has to harden up but that wasn't an issue at all and they packaged it soooo nicely.
Wow!! I was both excited but a little nervous about participating in the candle making process. I had visions of mixing a potion and ending up like Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove and ending with a comedic disaster. Happy to say, that was not the case! From the minute I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at the welcome, setup, clear instructions and the wall of scents to choose from! Lots of variety from softer, cleaner scents to deep, rich scents (looking at you dark chocolate) that made the selection process fun and engaging. Once you've selected 2-4 scents, you're able to select your candle's vessel-- prices vary based on size and design. Once at my lab desk (a little chemistry joke) I was able to smell the scents again individually and combined to determine if the final scent is my desired aroma. I went for a softer, romantic smelling candle and was happy with the scents combined. Using a measuring tool and a steady hand, you're able to fill your measuring device to the perfect blend for your delight. I did have to secure some help from the experts since I went rogue at one point- she expertly helped to bring the balance back. We stirred our scents and base to the right consistency and then poured into our candle container. You can even customize further at that point as well! I had such a great time and so grateful for the Artifact team for making it a special event! P.S. Garage parking or street parking available as needed. This is a cute little date night activity or something to do with a small group. In full transparency, it is very expensive for what it is. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my candle I made and it is lasting a long time and the glitter add-on makes it sparkle beautifully. The price is just way more than what you feel like you get out of it. The entire process took about 15 minutes and that was it, you come back in a few hours to pick up your candle. It just felt like it fell short for the price, but my candle does smell amazing. read more

So wonderful! What a cute and scented concept! Hubs brought me here for my bday and it was so cool! Very bright and pretty inside, lots of stations and very fabulous employees! Carolyn explained the process to us and we started smelling with our clipboards and pens! We wrote down the scents we loved and then the jar size and color that we wanted. We then mixed the oils and she brought us hot soy wax to pour and stir. If you love candles and want to do something cool for date night or a birthday, this is your place! They have every scent you can think of, they even have whipped cream, baked bread and leather! I made a summery candle and the hubs made one for his man cave. Definitely a must try in the Orlando area! A family owned business with a fun twist on candles. You can make your own soy based candle after testing out the scents and finding some of your favorites! The staff will help recommend and suggest what mixes best together to ensure you come out with an awesome candle. I heard about this place from a coworker of mine and had to check it out. It's the perfect girls day activity! Upon entering we were greeted warmly by everyone, including the owner. Beautiful aesthetic decor throughout and definitely "instagramable" spots in every corner. Choosing the scents to mix was definitely the hardest part. I decided on rose petals, agave and honey and it came out PHENOMENAL. Totally unbiased of course :). The entire process took about an hour and then you need a few hours for the candles to set. So we grabbed lunch in the meantime. For $25 you can't beat the immersive experience and you get to create something totally unique. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and definitely made the experience worthwhile. Will definitely be back! read more
Just visited Artifact Candle Foundry for the first time and I'm obsessed. When you first enter you are greeted by friendly employees ready to walk you through the entire process. You are given a seat socially distant from other visitors. Next you are given a clip board so you can smell the various scents and take notes of your favorites. After that you return to your seat the employee will give recommendations of which scents smell best together from the ones you made note of. I loved having the employees there to give advise and walk us through the process. While they were there to assist with the process it felt very relaxed and they did not feel over bearing. You can choose up to 4 scents to mix together in the candle. Once you finish you can go explore the various shops and restaurants in the area, as it takes up to two hours for your candle to be completely done. The overall cost was a great value for the overall experience. This was such a fun experience and I can't wait to return again and make more candles! Came here with my SIL & had a blast. We made some candles & smelled a bunch of scents on the walls. I ended up choosing Mango, Olive Blossom, Goji Berry, & Agave. She ended up with a mix that we didn't even expect; coffee bean, whipped cream, & sugar cookie which all together smelled like a brown sugar oat milk latte from starbucks!! Popped in to this delightful spot on whim with my nieces. To our surprise, we stumbled upon quite the unique little gem of a candle shop. If you're looking for the perfect gift that's truly a customized scent expression or hands on candle making experience, don't overlook this great spot. My niece was over the moon with her birthday candle that was a combination of her favorite scents. The selection of oils, wax quality (soy), packaging and final presentation was very impressive. This is the only place I buy my candles from now. They are organic soy candles making them clean burning. I was able to recreate my hair shampoo into my own body spray allowing my favorite scent to last all day. I also get many compliments on the candles in my home. read more

Took wife for her bday to this place. Very nice place over all, the set up, the employees are friendly. Finding a scent that we liked was simple with the help of the staff. The candle presentation at the end was great. Loved it. However, the most crucial part of the reason to come here is the finished candle after lit. The candle did not have the proper wick for the wax causing the candle to tunnel. The scent was not there either. I think for the price of the candle the staff should spend more time in trying to have an "overall" experience. Before and after. That includes the smell on the candle when lit. And we didn't get that. Poor candle made in my opinion. First part of the experience finding the scent is great but the second part which is why you're there for which is "lighting the candle" and smelling the scent you make at blimey should also be important. read more
