First off they carry the Lamp Berger products (lamps/fragrance holders). These are a French based company going back to the early 1900s and so lovely to look at it! I saw quite a few places selling them in Paris and I just loved to look at the pretty bottles so I was happy to discover I could buy one here! So many designs from the streamlined to the blingy. Think of large perfume bottle type of shapes. They are expensive but I heard the liquid you buy lasts quite a long time. They had 3 liquid bottles for $20 which I think is a great deal considering most of the lamps are about $50-$100 here depending on the size/design but it's a functional as well as decorative piece. There are the typical Yankee Company candles sold here as well as some really unique candle holders. The owner is really friendly and she has a lot of knowledge about the products sold.

Also well stocked with fabulous decoration for every reason. The owners are incredible - knowledgeable, kind, and extremely grateful for your business. I stock up every time I go - and this is a destination spot for holiday shopping of all types. Highly recommended for the consumer that loves to support local businesses, but also for the refined shopper that needs to find the "special touch" to make their living room, dining room, or bedroom "pop" with style and flair.

We got our drinks (included in the candle making class), while waiting for others to show up for the session. Once in the room, we were instructed by our candle teacher how to mix notes and scents together, it was super fun; especially for my two girls and surprisingly for mr. Tran too. Such a cute thing to bring your family to, or even a date night.

I came on a weekday evening and the class was pretty full (11 ppl). It was a nice activity and the instructor shared some basic candle knowledge with us. Sadly, it's not as hands on as I thought. You first smell the scents on the pre-set sticks, pick three, glue the wick on, mix three pre-measured scent bottles into the pre-poured hot wax, mix, pour into candle jar and wait. I could probably have done this is in 15 min. Majority of the class is the instructor describing the scents, explaining the different notes, teaching how to burn candles, selling things to add on, etc. We then spent another 20-30 min just waiting for the candle to set. I have been to other candle, soap, perfume making classes that were more hands-on. So maybe this felt very beginner. My candle also set funny (sunk in) and I think the wax they provided was clumpy. I did a diy candle making kit at home and it set so nicely so not sure what happened here. I did their glowness lab which is a little more expensive because it "incorporate essential oils, colour therapy and the healing power of crystals". The color therapy meant different color jars to pick from and the crystals were an additional $10 to purchase. With the 50% off it came to $62 for the class. I had fun because it was with a friend but I don't think I would really recommend this or come back. It's borderline worth it for $60, definitely not for $120.

Beautiful ambience, beautiful balance between being too empty and too cluttered, very neat and tidy, many interesting cards and other gift items, at much better prices than various major chain stores. The service was professional and very friendly, found an interesting music themed notebook at a price I can afford for a future visit. As this place is also very close to my cat's vet, it's pretty easy to make a visit or two within a two to three month period. Most likely coming back!

I found each store has some different products on sale. At 1pm it was crowded but one of the staff said it will be more crazy this evening! I was so happy to find their Aromatherapy Stress Relief Body Lotions and Creams were on sale $4.99 each! Regular price is $18.95. I got two each! I love these sales! Very affordable Toronto florist and they created a beautiful and dreamy bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets based on some pictures I showed them. They also gave me a freebie. My centrepieces with the a set of three glass cylinders, floating candles, and floating flowers was so gorgeous and created the perfect look and ambience for my reception and at $50 a table. This was by far the most affordable and best looking set I came across. I'm super happy and have no reservation recommending them to everyone. Great customer service too. Love!

I can't say enough good things about Yena and Inoong! Though I could ramble on in colorful detail…read moreabout why they are amazing, I will list my top 5 reasons in point form, cuz who doesn't love a list? 1. CHARACTER- Having vendors who were patient and easy to work with were of high priority when my fiance and I were planning our wedding. Yena and Inoong were so sweet and patient with me as I went back and forth on flower colors and centerpiece ideas. They were a vendor I loved to visit, as they always greeted me with bright smiles :D 2. BUDGET- I was originally a little nervous to tell them my modest budget, but when I did, Yena and Inoong gave no air of judgement nor did they attempt to persuade me to bump up my budget. Instead, they worked hard and creatively with me to stretch my budget and still create the same effect I had envisioned. I was so thrilled with what they came up with and am convinced that no other florist would have been able to make something so beautiful with such a modest budget. 3. QUALITY- I loved my wedding bouquet so much, I have requested that my husband purchase the exact same one for our one year anniversary. I think my photographer took more pictures of the flowers than they did of me! They were THAT stunning :) And the floral crown that Yena put together was just perfect, I felt like a bohemian princess :) 4. CREATIVITY- The theme of my wedding was "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of African Drums (ft Audrey Hepburn)"... To be able to translate THAT kind of a theme into the perfect bouquets and floral decor for me MUST require a heavy dose of creativity and a keen understanding of the client's personality/vision! 5. PROFESSIONAL- Yena and Inoong were more on the ball about getting flowers ordered and samples and being punctual to arrive on the wedding day etc etc than I was. As expected, the flowers arrived on time and in perfect condition. I've been recommending them to all my engaged friends and have full faith that they will not disappoint you!

Her shop on Coxwell holds lots more than her famed posted though. Aside from these, she also prints clothing, designs graphics for toques, caps, postcards, cards, stickers, and has invited a variety of artists to sell their wares--ranging from stationery, zines, to tea towels. Lee also focuses on Canadian makers, which means if you fall in love with something, chances are, you're supporting someone very local. Another awesome initiative Lee took on in response to the rise in Asian hate during COVID, was dedicating a section of her store to Asian authors. This means if you want to browse novels, picture books and comics by Asian authors there's a shelf of just that waiting for you at Secret Planet. Another benefit of Secret Planet is its location. Being about a 10 min walk from Coxwell station, you can easily hop out of the station a hop back in. If you live local artists and unique gifts, visiting Secret Planet is a must!
