It was Disney Princess Collection Release, so I stopped at Bath and Body Work West Covina Branch. The store was very clean and organized. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They had all the princess collections; Cinderella, Tiana, Belle, Ariel, Moana and Jasmin. The collection included; body wash, body lotion, fragrance mist, hand soap, wallflower fragrance, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, shimmer mist, 3- wick candle, and travel size products. All of the merchandise was well stocked. Although the store was very busy, the line for cashiers moved very fast. It was a fun and nice experience. The Rocket Pop Wallflower I bought doesn't work at all it's been plugged in for days and there's still no scent. I'm frustrated because it feels like a waste of money. You could improve in your customer service. When I walked in I told the girl that I was doing an online pickup. Her response was,"Have fun!" I wondered why she said that, now I know. There is no sign for online pickup so you wait in line then after waiting in line about 5-10 min, they tell you to move to the side and wait in another line all while the manager is standing there on her mic telling the other girl that now she has 2 online pickups. They should tell you where to go at the front and get on that little mic and tell the girl an online pickup up is on the way so you just have to stand in 1 line. When I see Bath and Body Works, I think of gifts, scents, and the holidays! I came here right before the Christmas holiday and it was crowded and full of people. Typically on a non-holiday, this place is still busy, but not as busy as this. I usually come in with a plan to get in and get out. I do my research online, looking at deals and then go in getting what I need. This place is usually fully stocked. It can get kind of messy with huge crowds of customers, so just navigate yourself around. Make sure to always shop when there is a deal on the products you are planning to buy. Never pay full price on an item. Seriously! I see bad reviews with customer service, so be sure to come into the store with a plan of what you are going to buy. All else fails, try another mall with a BBW or buy online. Also as at tip, if you're buying any items as a gift please check to see if anyone has used it. Sometimes people do not use the tester bottles and open random containers and bottles. If it clearly looks like someone used it, and the cap looks messy, grab another one. That's really unsanitary. Nothing like getting a gift of a used open bottle of lotion... Overall just get what you need and get out! read more

Branch did not follow official exchange policy as laid out by corporate. Incident happened on Tuesday, Sept 13, 2022. Went to the store for an even exchange, same item type, one for one, without receipt. This is covered by the current exchange policy. It should be a smooth, no extra tender needed transaction. What ultimately transpired was the customer was forced to pay for the price tag difference. The difference in question was not big, so patron complied to avoid causing drama. However, as someone who has connection to corporate, and is well aware how the policies are currently stated, this is, I assured you, only an exercise at the store manager's discretion, an attempt to manipulate metrics. (I have also confirmed yet again with current customer service, at corporate level, that I am in the right. Therefore, I feel comfortable leaving this review. I may also reflect my experience directly with the higher-ups.) Asking the buyers to "pay for the difference" is NOT a practice as instructed by central headquarter, let's emphasize once more. However, it is a cashier tool, already embedded into the program, that many management staff learned to use to their advantage. Of note, the current exchange policy will be updated the very next day, on Wednesday, Sept 14, 2022. (That's the major reason why I rushed to do the last-minute exchange, before the new policy goes into effect.) Now, to be transparent, everything that had happened, had it occur just one day later, on Sept 14, after the policy change, then it's all fair game. It is exactly by the book--exactly as written by the new, updated policy, which only goes into effect on Sept 14. So, if I was the one initiating this exchange just one day late, the responsibility falls onto the patrons' shoulders, and not the store's obligation to honor such a request. But that isn't the case here. Therefore, I am saddened to see yet another store power-tripping and inconsistently applying their own made-up rules to chain store game--albeit on the very last day. I will not be recommending this store to other fellow shoppers. In addition, in my own experience, Bath and Body Works locations inside malls (as in shopping centers, like Westfield) tend to have more aggressive managerial staff that pulls tricks like these, so I would encourage everyone to visit the more "free standing" stores. Whether it be part of strip mall, or an outdoor shopping grid, those locations tend to provide better customer service. The salespeople that helped today were at least quite courteous. Initially, I felt like giving 1 star for conjuring up their own store rules, though I recognize what they did today, while shady, is only shady for up to today. Even just one day later, what they are presently executing will become the new standard across the board for all stores nation wide. Therefore, I eventually sorta wanted to give at least 2 stars, just because. So I did. But heck, other Yelpers have reported inconsistent and unsatisfactory service from this store prior, so here's one more negative review to the pile. I personally probably will avoid giving sales to this branch in the future as a small gesture, however. There are many other locations I can still choose from. I love Bath & Body but I will never buy from this location again. Absolute worst customer service!!! I have ordered 3 times in the last few weeks for pick up and they have been rude every single time! My husband and son came the last two times and warned me but I had to see it for myself to write this review. Ordering for pick up is supposed to be a convenience but the cashiers make you feel like you are a huge inconvenience to them when picking up. We stood in line because there wasn't anyone at the the last register where we were supposed to pick up. I walked up to the next register that opened and she waived me off and told me to go to the last register. Living in Walnut I have B&BW in WC mall or Puente hills mall, bummed that PH closed. Had an online order to returned. I reluctantly went to WC , I've had two horrible experiences with the rudeness of the staff in the past haven't gone in a several yrs , all this because I refuse to pay shipping for their mistake. Well much to my surprise this nice young man greeted me coming in. Alexandria was at the counter. Beautiful girl , approachable, very polite, smiling. Listen to my concerns did not give me a hard time about reason for return. She was quick, efficient , professional, friendly. I loved her interaction with customers. Hope they hire a lot more people like her. Then I come across Stephanie, OMG! I was only there to return, she's a sales person. I spent another $124. She was also very friendly, helpful, smiling, listen to my needs , great personality all around. These three people made me change my mind about this location. Sorry , I didn't get HIS name. They Reminded me that not everyone's a jerk or bad I was wrong to project my bad experiences to all that work here. That wasn't fair to them. Do unto others. Kindness goes a long way. Very lazy employees who don't even check their inventory before they tell you an item is out. I later found the item and told the employee who said it was out where it was located for future reference. No apologies. No acknowledgement. Cashier # 3499931 needs training on reading coupons and entering them correctly. I had to go back to another cashier to re-ring the items using the coupon I gave the first cashier. Luckily, I have a habit of auditing my receipt prior to leaving the store. It would have been a waste of my time to have to drive back to the store to have this corrected. I absolutely love the store but tbh is review is for the employee who helped ring me up...I don't remember her name but her cashier number on my receipt was (3673974). I came in with the intention to purchase wallflowers but missed the sale by a day :( since I was already there I de used to use my free gift coupons. I didn't realize that I had to make a purchase because the old coupons didn't require a purchase, which was fine but the lady was like "you do know you need to buy something for each of these coupons" in a very snarky tone. It was very embarrassing but I tried to brush it off. When I went to grab some hand sanitizers, she helped a couple of older ladies who accidentally grabbed a tester bottle of soap and she kept raiser her voice and speaking to them in a very disrespectful tone because they didn't fully understand what was happening. Long story short, she had an extremely poor attitude and the worst customer service I've ever experienced in a bath and body works. I rarely go to the mall, so I was disappointed when I walked all the way to the old location before I realized they moved. This is totally my fault, so my lesson is to check the directory first even if I know where store was/is. The new location is more in the middle area of the mall. I have to say I was overwhelmed and overstimulated when I walked into the store. There was a whole lot going on in the different displays. There were different products everywhere. Things were organized by collection, scent and season. Yes, there was organization but way too many displays and products. I walked around the store five times to find the items I was looking for. Even the helpful associate was running around the store trying to find things for me. That is not a good sign where there are too many displays and products all over the store. The store seemed to be sectioned into three different areas as well. What I discovered is there are several items that were basically the same product and scent but in different packaging for different seasons and occasions. For example, I was looking for one candle scent and there were three different designs (general, fall and winter labels). This was a bit confusing. Then I was looking for body wash. Of course these options were all over the store in different varieties and different packing in different body designs. It had me questioning which ones were included in their buy 3 get two free offer. It was just too confusing. I am a person that doesn't like the mall. I like to run in, get what I need and get out. I spent way too much time in this store trying to find just few items. This was a big fail for me. Maybe I'll have better luck at a different location with a more simple floor plan. read more

Horrible customer service. I was wrongfully denied an exchange first by the lady ringing me up and then also by the manager, Danielle. I contacted customer service after leaving the store and being on the phone with them for 1 hour, they confirmed that the store was supposed to honor the exchange since it fell under their store policy. I contacted the store again and told them I spoke to customer service and Danielle kept refusing to exchange my items until she said she will call customer service herself and she calls me back after speaking to them saying i'm able to exchange my items. I go back in, and she didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and after all the time that I wasted. If you come pick up in-store, be prepared to sit in your car for at least an hour, dial/call the store at least 10 times in order for your call to get through, and then wait about another 20-30 mins to receive your items. Due to COVID-19, they are only doing curbside pickup at the moment. You have to park in front of lazy dog and red robin & then call the store to let them know you're here. So far i have done curbside pick up twice at this location and BOTH times I ask the employees to include the cello and ribbons in my order and BOTH times they fail to do so. The first time I went, there were 3-4 cars parked along the designated area, I'm not sure if all the cars were waiting for their B&BW orders but when the employees came out they were carrying several bags so to me they seemed busy. So whatever I kind of shrug off the fact that they forgot the gift wrap. But this second time i went, there were no other cars, and i made sure to ask them to please include the gift wrap with my order and the worker confirmed that she was going to add the cello and ribbon in the bag. When i get home and take the bag out from the trunk, there was no gift wrap again. I'm still giving them 3 stars because the workers followed safety guidelines very well, the pickup experience was simple and efficient. After you call the store, you still have to wait about 10 mins so that they can get your order ready. Then You just show them your email confirmation when they walk up to your window and they either place your goodies in the back seat or your trunk so you never come in contact with them. It's just frustrating when you request for a service, not once but twice, and both times they fail to follow through. read more
