GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Every employee I dealt with from a phone call to actually walking into the store, have superb customer service. And it felt genuine! The only complaint i have is that I ordered online to pick up in the store, and even though I paid for both the bralete and panty, only the bralete was shipped. I didn't find out until I went to the store for pick up. They have sales ALL THE TIME and a HUGE clearance section. Not very many of the smaller (00) size is in store. Mostly you'll have to go online and cross your fingers. Not really a complaint because the store IS geared more towards larger sizes, which in turn lends to them carrying bras with bigger cup sizes. Just know that if you come to the West Covina location, the people working are talking to each other or providing coaching that should be done outside of shopping hours and you're gonna have to wait to pick up your online order. It's better just to have things shipped to your house and not visit the store in person unless you want to be ignored and have them waste your time. This used to be my favorite Torrid. I used to drop at least $50 to $70 here every month. I used to go in here to get one thing and leave with 2 bags full. But not any more. I only go to this one if I have to. The latest crop of sales associates aren't that friendly or helpful. Its gone way down hill in the last two or three years. Sorry Torrid but I rather go to target some times then shop at this one, and that's saying a lot. The Torrid in the Brea mall was the first one that open and is still really good. I decided to take a look at this store that I had heard about at the West Covina Mall. I was not impressed with the clothing as I thought it might be a better quality of clothing. It seemed almost typical, or say generic clothing. Maybe it was because I was looking for semi formal attire, and unfortunately this store did not come close. if you've heard of Catherine's that's the place to go... almost forgot to mention the staff at torrid's they are fabulous, friendly, and professional so they are not the issue. I am frequent buyer for Torrid, online and in store. Earlier today I visited the West Covina location to make a return for an item I had ordered online. I was told by the manager DANIELLE that I would not be able to make a return on my item because it was on clearance. I told her that I didn't even purchase the item two weeks ago and when I bought it, it was for original price. She showed me on my receipt where it looked like it showed for "32.58", and she said items with prices that end in 7 or 8 are clearance. DANIELLE said the only thing she can do for me is to exchange it for another item in the store. The item I was returning did not fit me, so I had no use for it. I ended up exchanging it for another item I did not want. When I got home, I reviewed my receipt and you can clearly see where she CROSSED OUT MY ITEM TO WHERE IT LOOKS LIKE AN 8 WHEN ITS CLEARLY A 0. I am highly disappointed and upset by DANIELLE'S deceiving unprofessionalism. I have contacted customer service and I am currently waiting for a follow up on this issue. read more

I left the store yesterday leaving behind two shirts that if the sales associate had asked me if I had an coupons i might have remembered that I had one in my email. I kept going back and forth on them. At some point you think she might have mentioned email during the transaction. I was so sad when I got home an hour and half away when I realized I could've bought those last two items with the $50 off your $125 purchase or more with your torrid card. The fitting rooms could be cleaned better there's dirt and dust all over the baseboards. There was stuff on the mirror. This store is very frustrating. It's a small store so it can be difficult to navigate if there are too many guests. I love the clothing, but so much of it is on very tall hanging racks... There have been many times that I want to grab more stuff to try on, but not being able to reach is a hassle. Which brings me to the most annoying thing of all... getting an associate to help you is a task. I feel that a visit at this Torrid goes the same way every time: After a short while, someone greets you. If you get into a fitting room, having someone come check on you is an impossible expectation. I was just there a few moments ago, trying things on, and no one came to check on me once. I walked back onto the sales floor in their merchandise to get things I needed in other sizes -- I do this more often than I'll admit. Greet me, offer to take my arms full of things to a fitting room, help me get tall things down, see if I need other sizes while trying clothes on... it seems like the basics of clothing retail. read more

I've been going to Torrid since 2001. This has been the most amazing place to shop, especially for plus sized women like myself. Every experience is a little different, but I've always had the pleasure to have very attentive and kind sales associates. Their style in clothing, in terms of the company, has changed over the years; however, they are the best venue to offer quality jeans and blouses that compliment my body type - instead of making me look old and/or bigger. This place needs more workers on hand. It took FOREVER to ring up my items. Plus the worker had to help somebody in the dressing room. If there would have been another person working there that would not have been a problem. I know about stores having sub-par service due to not having enough money to pay extra workers. For the prices you charge for those clothes you should. I'm pretty soured on this location. read more

Do not order anything to be sent to the store- they only ship to the store when they have actual stock so you may be waiting 2 weeks for them to ship your purchases unlike some stores like Payless. I learned the hard way it's just better to ship to your house and pay the $6 bucks. I live near their warehouse and would of received it in a day or two but by sending to a local store it took 2 weeks for them to call me.. And it wasn't the stores fault because the warehouse only sends purchases with shipments... read more

Busty girls of the world rejoice! I was looking for office appropriate work wear that didn't hug me in all the wrong places. As a busty girl (36E) with otherwise normal proportions, I found other stores didn't really cater to my figure. Enter Torrid. After wondering through the mall for a bit, I stumbled across the store and was so pleasantly surprised! I was able to get two complete suit sets, flats and a pea coat for under $250. Additionally, the employees were friendly and helpful, efficiently assisting me with figuring out my size in their system (0/1). If you find yourself in the market for a new work wardrobe and find yourself between regular size and not quite a plus size, I would 100% recommend you check this place out. read more

I filled out an application, plus, did a brief resume intro of who I am & what I was hoping to gain from employment at Torrid. REALITY: (A discount on clothing, buliding a wardrobe.) LOL Met manager, made small talk & gave her my paperwork. I'm turning & walking away,and this UNPROFESSIONAL bit*h is reading my coverpage outloud! I am so angry that I drove a city over to use my coupon, which I find out after the fact that, it is one day past the expiration date, keep in mind this is after I waited 15 minutes to pay for my stuff. I would not have driven down, and wasted my gas, if I knew my coupon was no good, I am so pissed, they manager knowing people are waiting in line asked if anyone wants to open a credit card, like common sense lady, why would you make people wait longer. I don't normally shop at torrid, but was directed from the Sanrio store since I was looking for Hello Kitty perfume. I had no idea Torrid had Sanrio stuff. I called in to check stock and the associate laid the perfume aside for me. When I came to pick up the perfume, the same associate, Ana, helped me. She was so nice and even gave me a torrid membership card so that I can return for future Hello Kitty purchases, even though I don't shop at Torrid for clothes. I have only been inside this one and the one in Brea, and all the associates have been super nice and friendly. If you're a Sanrio fan, they carry some Sanrio stuff, so it's a good place to check out. read more

I wish I got the names of the male and female associates who assisted me today! They were awesome... They helped me pick out dresses and had patience with me... This is the first time I went there after their remodel and I loved it!!! The only suggestion I have is to have more variety of heels! And I was soooo happy with my purchase, I got clearance heels for $27... My feet are abnormally wide and they fit like a glove!! Helps that those were exactly what i've been looking for. I apologize for the passive- aggressive way of handling this situation. I should have maybe addressed it while I was there picking up an order I already paid for, but I would prefer not to draw negative attention to myself. With that said, I tracked my items and it said delivered, so instead of making an additional to that area, I chose to pick up my items. I was told I should have waited for the email to tell me that my items had been checked in before picking them up. Really? Is it that hard to find them in a box? It took less than 10 minutes and there was one other customer in the store. You sound like I, "the customer" is an inconvenience for you. Not only that, I was not offered a bag by you, however your manager did offer and stood there while you scolded me about picking up my delivered package too soon. Wow! i agree with the previous poster. i used to drop boukou bucks at this location. one afternoon after enjoying a nice lunch at panera with my girl alexa, i needed a belt to go along with a dress that i purchased for my cousins up coming wedding, i found the belt but it was way too big, so i asked the only sales girl ( possibly even a manager or Sup) there if they had anymore in the back she responds " *scoff* everything we have is out", then i proceeded to ask her if she would be able to call another store to see if they had my size, again "*scoff* um, go on the web site you'll find it there" ,i was the ONLY person in the store at the time. so i will never go to this location again, the ones in Brea, Ontario mills and the Citadel are so much better .. read more

I have been going to Torrid for years now as does my BFF. We went together because we had the hautecash coupons wich was happening at all the stores, and i went to my torrid in Irvine and tried on everyhting before hand so id know what fits (they had all the cute new srtuf). But we went to her covina store and NONE of the new stuff was out at all, when we asked the sales people where it was they claimed they've never had it in and basically didnt know what we were talking about. They then later accused my friend of grabbing stuff from the wrong clearance tagged area (even tho it was written in PEN by an associcate what the price was like all the other stuff) was shot down, and basically this woman Proceeded to argue with my easy going friend. Needless to say we won't be going to that particular store any time soon. VERY hard to shop there or have an experience that was worth out time. You'd think people at torrid would be a little nicer to the customers that have to pay for such heinously overpriced clothing. id rather go to Target or Walmart even and thats saying a lot! read more

If a torrid employee was to read this they would know exactly who it is! that's how often im in there I have a credit card with torrid and I truly do spend money here about 98% of my pieces are from this company. this is the ONLY torrid I would buy from other branches have stuck up employees that are rude with bad ethics(as if your walking in a mac store)..but at the west co they make you feel like family,and I like that feeling.. when im shopping they know my size more than I do and I love that!
