I've lived here for four years now and was told not to bother coming here due to the prices. I finally came in and checked stuff out. How bad could it be? $50 for a tiny string of pearls basket that would be half the price anywhere else. Everything else made my jaw drop. I worked in greenhouses for years. The plants here do look healthy and well maintained. I'm sure the staff is great but I'll never come back. read more

Awesome nursery! I have become quite the plant nerd and I've been around to all the nurseries in the area. I LOVE coming to Bath and browsing the plants and accessories as often as I can. The selection is enormous and the plants are well taken care of. The staff is super helpful and able to answer a variety of questions about the plants, how to care for them, and what products will work best. They have classes available to keep things interesting as well. I've purchased a few things and I have noticed that the prices seem to be a little high compared to other nurseries, but the quality is good. I'll keep coming back and will update my review as necessary. read more

Susan (one of the staffs) was very helpful and offered me a succulent plant when I was asking to see if I could have it due to it poor condition. I hope I can live under my care. This nursery has a gorgeous selection of plants and friendly staff. However, this past fall (fall 2022), I brought in my healthy dracaena marginata to be re-potted. The staff was helpful and efficient with this. In the months following, my plant slowly started to deteriorate. I adjusted the watering, humidity, and light to no avail. Yesterday, I brought my plant to Fort Collins Nursery to assess the soil and roots. An employee told me that whoever had potted my plant before did not break up the roots. As a result, the roots were bound tightly, and my plant was "choking itself." It was not receiving any nutrients or water. This plant holds a lot of emotional significance to me because I brought it with me to Fort Collins when I moved from San Francisco. I'm disappointed that the staff member who potted my plant didn't tend to it with care. read more

I will say their plants are really healthy and their customer service is always super kind and professional. As a huge houseplant fan, i do have to say that their prices are a bit higher than other places. I wouldn't go as far as saying overpriced, but just a tier higher than other nurseries. I will say that they do have some amazing finds, and can sometimes carry a rare plant or two every now and again. (My review regards their indoor plants exclusively as I am not an outdoor gardener) read more

I posted a review on Google in regards to two Urn style planters, I just want to make it clear that when we put the Urns on hold at the time on the phone speaking with Ellie, she did not tell us how long the hold was for, so we had no idea it was for 24 hours until she call us to say they had someone else interested in buying such Urns. We had told her we had to get a hold of our Roofer 1st because she would be reimbursing us . So maybe to your next Customer that puts an item on hold wait until the following day within reason , before jumping at the next sell. Just be a little more courteous! Will not shop here again, buyer beware. Had to give 1 star, but I would have given none. read more

Bath has a lovely little gift shop/boutique section, with many cute items. Their plant selection is pretty large too. Prices can be hefty. Staff is courteous, helpful. Masks are being worn. That said, my most recent experience here is worth sharing: I went here recently with a friend to pick out some begonias for someone, and, in my typical fashion, spent some time seeking out a new houseplant that I don't need. This was my second visit to this nursery. I went for the first time about a year ago. During my first visit, the one thing that really stood out to me was the overall condition of the plants -- while scoping out what I could afford, I noticed how unhealthy all the plants looked. But, I figured, sometimes an insect outbreak is inevitable, and one spider mite can turn into thousands before being detected. I usually go to other nurseries around Fort Collins, most are just more affordable. But this second visit to Bath, the plants were just as unhealthy. We got our Begonia, and I really wanted to get myself a Monstera. These seem to be expensive everywhere, so $10 for a baby plant that hadn't yet developed split leaves didn't seem too bad. But as I looked around at the other young Monsteras, the older ones, and the other plants they had out, they all looked ... ill. Spider mites wreaking havoc on an overwhelming amount of plants, mealybugs tucked away in the crevices of many, and aphids sucking on the leaves on others. This happens. Plant nurseries are bound to have an outbreak at some point. But it seems a year has passed, and nothing has changed. My big issue here is the outrageous price for diseased and infested plants. Go down Mulberry and the FoCo Nursery has far healthier plants for MUCH lower prices. Yes. I did buy the baby Monstera. I couldn't resist. It is quarantined from my other plants, as I saw sneaky little aphids on it the day after. It was covered in insect frass and I think the mites are making their appearance now. Basically, I have the plant in the critical care unit. So, moral of the story, buyer beware. If you want to purchase a plant here, be ready for pests. If you're not ready for pests, go somewhere else, you'll find the same plant for less money. If you want cheap terra cotta pots, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a $20 plush toy, Bath has the best in town -- I mean it, they're really quite cute. read more

One of the cooler nurseries to explore when looking for a new plant but... every single time I bring home a house plant from here it has horrible spider mites. Such a dreamy, expansive realm to wander through for an hour if you wish. I was looking for snake plants to cleanse the air of my room, and they had so many. They will re-pot the plants for you if you buy containers there and ask them. My plants are so perfect and beautiful. Aside from a wealth of gorgeous plants, they have so many pretty trinkets, including lavender knit hats and scarves, gemmed jewelry, and sweater coats and bags. I felt like a kid in a candy store here. Such a fun place to stop even if you aren't looking for anything in particular. It is an experience of itself. read more

Pros: What a selection! I feel so lucky to live near a nursery that puts so much thought into the native plant selection. Northern Colorado has a specific growing climate & they really take this into consideration . Case in point I bought loads of foxglove from a big box store and a few from bath. The ones from bath were specifically selected for our area. Year 1 the big cheap plants from Home Depot looked great initially and all died in the first winter. The plants from bath were not impressive in the first year but they survived! And now we are in Year 3 and they are gorgeous! Every foxglove & delphinium from Home Depot & Lowe's have died & every single one from bath have survived. All of the native plants purchased from bath (can't be compared to anyone else because no one close sells them) are thriving. Cons: I live in a newer development & Bath was employed for the initial landscaping job. They were fired, another company hired & then fired & now Bath is back. Bath laid sod on clay covered in small, medium & HUGE river rocks. I have spent years removing these rocks from our yard and trying to revive a yard that was never given a chance to begin with. They did not put down topsoil before laying the sod. Just threw it down on rocky clay without a thought. Many of my neighbors have been suffering through this lawn situation created by Bath. Some are ripping it all out and starting from scratch. It has been a nightmare for many of us in the Bucking Horse neighborhood trying to salvage these lawns. I have a harder time supporting Bath these days after going through this. read more

Recently moved to Fort Collins and found Bath Garden Center. They have an amazing selection of plants to choose from. However, my low review is due to the mandated order that is obviously being ignored by this business. At first glance, there are signs saying that masks are required but none of that is actually being followed. There are still many customers and employees who do not wear their masks. I've only been in a few times and every time I've noticed multiple employees walking around the store without their masks. I have found some other nurseries such as Fort Collins nursery that I've seen actually follow guidelines. I will not support a business that doesn't take the pandemic seriously. read more

This place has an enormous plant section where it seems you can walk around forever (in the spring) and get your plants. They got classes here to tech in gardening and such, home decor, indoor plants and cute little koi! Great place to go to! Their fairy gardens are fun to look at too! read more

This place has a large selection of plants and garden ornaments. The prices are a tad higher than the next closest nursery. It was a dollar more for a small cactus versus the nursery down the street. Since it was close to closing I was told they do repot plants if you buy the pot too but couldn't leave only one cashier. The other nurseries just go a little big higher with service. read more

Stopped in here with my mom while I was in town and was seriously impressed. The service there is great. One of the guys working there gave my mom some great advice on planting in the Fort Collins soil and how to tell what kind of soil she most likely has and what to plants vs. not to plant and when to plant it. She was looking into planting a tree, and he mentioned that they grow most of what they have there out back, too. He was really friendly and knowledgeable and not just concerned with getting her to buy something that day (because it's too early to actually plant for her needs). In addition to the multitude of plants (everything from orchids to cacti), they have a ton of cute garden decor, gift ideas and local artwork. They have a whole section for terrariums, if you're into that. You can sit down and make your own and buy all the things you need. What a cute project. They also have two clearance sections: one for "aesthetically challenged" plants, one for decor. They're both on the east side of the store. The plants are almost in the northeast corner of the store. The decor is just caddy-corner to your left -- by the picnic tables they use for terrarium making. read more

Way too expensive for the quality. They try hard, but a really crummy return policy (bring back everything - receipts, original containers, tags, faulty plant) is not in line with their pricing. Go to Home Depot or Lowe's - a lot cheaper and at least they'll refund without a doing a background check. read more

Price gouging and rude service. The eclipse glasses are over $10 a pair but there is no sign showing the price. When I mentioned that an online search came up with a $2 price for them the woman (manager? owner?) behind my cashier asked where I saw it and was defensive (as was the cashier). She stated "someone" on Facebook said that they were being sold at the $2 price. I was not asking for anything for free simply pointing out that they were price gouging their customers. They are clearly aware that the wrong price is being advertised by people but they don't even have a sign up by the glasses showing what the price is. The cashier helping me was rude and unhelpful. I'll never go back and I enjoy(ed) this gardening center but no more if this is how they are. Put up a sign at the very least so that people KNOW how much the "in-demand" item is. Don't blow a customer off for stating a clear fact. I get that your seller is charging you more but I'm also sure that you knew how much you were going to be charged. Disgusted. read more

The hanging baskets and pre-planted tubs of flowers are fantastic. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Everybody we talked to went out of their way to get us what we needed. Maybe a tad pricey but we have no buyer's remorse. read more

One of the last places in town before the solar eclipse with eclipse glasses, so they marked them up 10+ times. Haven't bought plants or anything else there and never will based on that. Pro tip: You can charge higher prices than Lowes/Home Depot and trust that locals will pay more to support a local business, OR you can erase any such local-business goodwill by being price gougers. It is with sadness and disappointment that I am writing a negative review of a place that I have loved for over 15 years. My 90 year old Mom and I visit this garden center 4 to 5 times a year, driving over from Laramie, Wy, and joyfully spending between $500 to $1000 a year. I am a garden club member with Bath and have recommended them countless times to my friends and fellow garden club members in Laramie. However, I feel that I can no longer recommend nor patronize Bath Garden Center in the future. My husband bought me a $100 Bath gift certificate as a Christmas present on the early morning of December 23 and paid an extra $10 for a processing fee and greeting card fee to have it mailed to us 65 miles away. We had not received it in the mail as of December 29. My Mom and I were in the store on this day and spent an hour looking around before deciding on the items we wanted to buy. I had the email receipt showing the gift certificate transaction since I had not received the gift card. I was told that they needed the actual gift card since it has a stamp on it and they needed it to process the transaction. I then asked if perhaps I could pay for the items today, and then return them once I received my gift card and "repay" for them using the gift card. These were Christmas items that were on sale and were labeled as "all sales are final" so I was disappointed but not surprised that they said no to this, too. My last thought was to ask them if they could hold my items until I received my gift card and could drive back down from Laramie to pay for them and pick them up. They said that the best they could do was to hold the items for 24 hours which is their general policy. I put my items aside, waited for my Mom to purchase her items, and then walked out of the store. I sadly told the sales clerk that Bath Garden Center had just lost a customer, and in fact, has lost two customers as my Mom was sad and disappointed, too. read more

I loved this nursery. I came here on a whim after visiting my grandmother nearby. I was looking for a a lemon tree. And they had one! I was super excited I really wanted to buy a lot more but for two hundred bucks I felt like I was already spending quite a bit more than I planned on that day. Worth every penny . The lady was very friendly even though I came in just shortly before they were closing. I was glad they didn't treat me any differently than somebody who probably was there much earlier than 10 to 15 minutes before they closed. The place smelled great and was very clean. They even had tiny little chickens that were making adorable noises I had lots of questions about all the dirt that I was going to need and ended up getting a couple extra things. Because of how far I live from the nursery I'm not sure that'll ever visit but I was so impressed that I thought I would take the time to write a review. I would highly recommend coming to the store to find a bonsai, indoor lemon trees and some beautiful indoor plants.They had everything you could possibly want for Fairy Gardens too. read more

I purchased my Christmas tree from Bath the day after Thanksgiving. I cut the end off and filled it's water reservoir. I thought my husband was watering it, he thought I was...about 2 weeks later, the poor tree got watered again. I just remembered again this morning. Today is Dec.23rd and that lovely tree cut in Red Feather has Still not lost a needle! Wow! Way to keep it fresh Fresh Bath! Thanks for watching the back of us water lamo's! read more
