My stunning most faithful loving beast of a doberman ran into a pole and tore his chest wide open…read more I raced out of the field to find help only to find all 5 vet offices closed. I went home and called the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital on Midland Ave open after hours and said bring him right in. After a 15 minute drive there they opened the door and took my boy right in and said they would call me. Two hours later they called me and said I could pick him up. When I arrived my groggy boy was ready to go home. Upon inspection his chest was sewn to perfection with about 2 dozen stiches, had a temporary fluid drain installed and left with a bag full of pain killers and anti-biotics and all at a price I didn't wince, squirm and argue about. One day later he is back to his wonderful self again but with very limited movement for the next month.. I am ETERNALLY GRATEFULL for the exceptional treatment by the staff toward myself and especially for the speedy professional emergency medical treatment my boy needed immediately. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT THE KINGSTON REGIONAL PET HOSPITAL. We are SO LUCKY to have this pet hospital in our region. I cannot thank them enough for their service as my boy is everything to me. D Nourry

The Kingston Regional Pet Hospital is bad. It was a Saturday night. There was something wrong…read morewith our dog's foot. I phoned the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital right away. The Kingston Regional Pet Hospital told us to wait until Monday and to take our pet to our regular vet. We trusted the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital so we listened to them. We took our pet to a local clinic on Monday. But it turns out that our dog had an infection in her foot. Infections need to be treated right away or they grow and spread. Because the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital had told us to wait two more days before taking our dog to a vet, the infection had been given two more days to grow in our dog's body. The infection had eaten half of our dog's foot by the time she was seen on Monday by a local veterinarian. Our dog was in severe pain. Our dog is now dead. And all we had needed were some antibiotics.

Was going to this Vet for my dog. Many problems of price but also competence…read more 1. Went to pick up her monthly flea and tick medication and it was just handed to me as she was young without weighing her. I asked if he would like to weigh her then realized he was about to sell me the wrong dosage. No apology and I don't think even realized the problem with what he did even was. 2. Was quoted about $875 to get her spayed. Then when it was time . They tacked on A) $225 as she was just over a year old B) Hundreds more for blood test never spoken about previously before the general anesthesia. C) was informed after surgery that if she develops diarrhea to immediately bring her back. She did later on and I brought her in immediately. Over $800 more for medications and special food, stool sample, hydration. The whole time it was just her shaking off the general anesthesia. She was fine a few hours later without taking any of the medication. Realizing how taken advantage off I got I asked for the office manager to call, never did until other requests weeks later basically saying too bad. They called with the stool sample results sure enough saying she was fine the whole time. Getting her spayed cost me over $2500. I've met 2 vet technician's who worked there previously at dog parks. They said that their post surgery instructions used to be that diarrhea an be expected sometimes after surgery and give it some time before bringing them back in. Adding that they left as the culture became a "how many blood tests did you sell this month type mentality" They try and explain the multiples higher costs by saying they are the "Gold Standard" but all the visits I've had were just the vet asking me if I noticed any change. Then petted her a bit and left. $225+ per. A combination of incompetence, horrible pricing and overall lack of interest in many employees is a tough combination to find but here it is. I brought all this and more up to office manager who appeared to not worry about any of it. Didn't ask who was selling me the wrong dosage. I was shocked at the lack of management overall as well as staff. Many I'm sorry's but long after the money is in the bank. Couldn't suggest avoiding this place for any others more. For care and pricing try somewhere else.

I also would not recommend this place for pocket pets. The Vet that we had was Dr. Harnett, who…read morewas incompetent and did not care for our pet. Using the stethoscope on her was the closest she got. We spent over 2&1/2 hours there, empty waiting room and maybe 10 minutes total with Vet. Completely agree with everything that Paul F. said and this was a horrible experience for us and our helpless, adorable pet Joey! Go to Thousand Islands Vet Clinic, Gananoque, they were amazing in every way!!!

I can't say enough good things about Gardiners Road Animal Hospital. My family's beloved senior cat…read moredeclined very quickly to the point we thought she may be palliative. She was a brand-new patient and needed quick action. The wonderful team and Dr. Farooq accommodated her in a timely fashion, made her feel comfortable and gave her a rigorous physical examination. She was able to have an x-ray immediately, which detected that her digestive system had stopped working. After more review by a radiologist and testing, Dr. Farooq had a hunch that it may be a reversible condition despite not showing the full suite of symptoms. He was right. An additional test proved it and she improved immediately after great treatment and monitoring. He also caught a treatable painful spinal condition that we assumed was just aging. She will be more comfortable during her remaining years. My family feels fortunate we went to GRAH because the outcome could have been very different without the diagnosis. In addition to great care and diagnostics, Dr. Farooq thoroughly explained the costs and took care to limit any unnecessary costly procedures. Thank you GRAH team!
