I also have a dental implant from Baywell, the surgery was performed by Dr Luong herself. The surgery went smoothly, Dr Luong was very professional and explained to me the procedure and let me know what she was doing at every step. I recovered very quickly from the procedure. Overall, everyone I've encountered at Baywell has been pleasant and friendly. Just to name a few individuals that I've encountered at Baywell--Marianne the hygienist is very friendly, she does thorough cleanings and makes good conversation. That was two years ago and I'm still going now (just had a hygiene appt. there this morning, in fact). So, I am VERY glad I gave it a shot. Just walking into the place is like walking into a movie set - and you're the star. The new offices (until 2017 I believe they were at a different location) are beautiful. The front desk staff are super-friendly (you always hear about surly staff at medical offices, but that has never been the case at Accolade). The folks working on your teeth are always gentle, and asking if you're comfortable. Oh, and they have Netflix to watch while you're getting your teeth worked on. Dr. Slome is a true doctor: he genuinely cares about your teeth and is understanding about any medical or personal situation. Finally, everyone is attractive (relevant as seeing people with great teeth in a dental office is reassuring and inspiring to the patient!). So, instead of trembling in fear in anticipation of pain like I did when I was very young, I now find having my teeth worked on a relaxing experience. I can honestly say that Dr. Slome and the staff at the clinic have taken better care of my teeth than I have. I had Invisalign done (complete now, pending some crown work that desperately needs to be done), and am quite satisfied with the results. They started the process with a 3D scan of my teeth, and later sent links to a video where I could see the weekly update to my teeth - very efficient and modern. They also recommended some teeth whitening gel that I bought there that is both relatively inexpensive and provides great results. If you are skeptical of overwhelmingly positive reviews such as this, good - it is wise to be cautious. But, I am an actual patient of Dr. Slome's and will post this review on Google reviews as well. You can contact me here or there if you have any questions or you want to see the after pictures of my Invisalign - and, if you're brave, the before. Edit: Just remembered - on your first visit they give you a cool package with a mug, toothbrush, toothpaste, and I think some floss. It is a modern and nicely decorated clinic. This clinic has 2-3 dentists. My dentist only works here every Tue since he works on Steeles Ave W the rest of the days. They have a knowledgeable receptionist. My dentist charges reasonable prices (some clinics charge extra). He doesn't do unnecessary dental work. He uses a dental assistant during his dental work. Before the pandemic, the waiting room had enough seating for 4 people. They also gave out free lip balm and green apples. Since the pandemic, there are only 2 chairs, the waiting room is almost barren, and there are no free handouts. The receptionist desk has plexiglass all around it, and there is hand sanitizer on the counter. During pandemic times, you are asked a few questions a few days before the appointment, then you have to answer the same questions when you arrive for the appointment and sign a waiver. You must wear a face mask the entire time until you sit in the dental chair. During pandemic times, there is a heavy duty HEPA filter air cleaner in the waiting room, and in each dental room. After each patient, all their masks and gowns are thrown out and the room closed with newly installed plexiglass doors. The room is emptied for a few mins while the HEPA filter air cleaner cleans the entire room of any lingering droplets. The rules are that if you don't have such an air cleaner, you cannot use the room for 3 hours. So it is cheaper to but an industrial quality air cleaner. The dentist wears a N95 mask and a face shield. Unfortunately it means his voice volume is at 50% of his normal volume. There is free WiFi. Each patient room also has a 32" Sony TV installed above you so you can watch it during dental work. The handle dental insurance claims. You still have to pay first but the submit the claim for you (some people may delay submitting the claim).

For minor cavities, she always suggested to monitor instead of doing filling right away (not like a lot other dentists who are money driven). Her reason was every time you did filling you would lose an extra part of your own tooth. She tried hard to help you extend the lifespan of your teeth as much as possible. The front desk lady, Floor, was also nice and warm. The only reason I did not give a five star was because this place put an extra charge of fluoride treatment on your dental cleaning claim form and a lot of insurance companies did not cover it. All the previous dentist's places I've been to just simply included this service in the three units of scaling.

I've only had cleanings at Yorkville (like most dentists today, they also do cosmetic procedures), but my dental hygienist was very thorough and my pegs felt super clean upon my departure! I'm very picky about the cleanliness of my dentists' offices and, since I'd been going to the same dentist for 28 years prior to moving to T.O., it took me a couple of tries before finding one that lived up to my standards. The office is very modern and very clean. They have flat panel TVs in every room, so you can watch the news while you listen to the whirr of the cleaning tools. Dr. Miekle was congenial, inquisitive about my dental history and obviously knows his stuff. It also doesn't hurt that he's really good looking, but I'm sure that should in no way factor into my Yelp rating. Ahem. I understand most people don't have their wisdom teeth so there isn't much opportunity to practice cleaning them but usually the hygienist will still at least attempt to clean them. The dentist was a nice man but didn't spend enough time explaining my treatment options for my cavities and made it seem like an expensive root canal was my only option even though the caries weren't deep. The office is inside a small casual house and seemed a little disorganized.
