TLDR: Raise your children, and likewise, train your employees and hold them accountable. Went in to get a key fob Monday at Batteries Plus. They had to order it in, but got a quote for much less than the dealership. They told me it would be there Wednesday and they'd call when it came. Waited til Friday to call and see, never made shipment, now estimated next Wednesday, they'd call me. Next Wednesday comes, no call. Fast forward to next Monday (2 weeks from original date), I call at 3, check if they have the key. Yes. Tell him I'm gonna be there at 5:15 to get it cut and programmed. He says "can you come at 5:45 when my closet's here, that can take 20 minutes or so." He's working alone, doesn't want to leave the counter unattended 20 minutes. Fine. I show at 5:20, wait in the parking lot 20 minutes, no a soul walks in or out. 5:40 I come in, tell him I called and what I'm there for. He says "you came early"... he'd been sitting there on his phone eating hot Cheetos for 20+ minutes. Still dust all over his fingers. Lots of slow movement, sniffles, silence, and general nothing getting doneness. I figure he's staling hoping the other worker will show and do it so he can do nothing. At one point he answers a storefront call, tells this guy not to come for atleast 30 minutes since it's just him... I've now been there, him trying to get this computer and machine to cut a key copy for 40 minutes. Guy from the phone call who just needs a battery comes in, then slowly 2 other customers. It's now 6:20, still no sign of 6:00 shift worker. After the worker tried the same thing without changing anything for the 4th time, I ask for the key and say I'll go to Ace. Battery guy has left too. Other customers walked out or said they'd come back another time. "Are you sure?" Is all the employee said. I go to ace, so does battery guy. Ace cuts my fob but can't program it. Doesn't have the right battery for other customer. 6:45, back at BP. I cut it, now program it please. Takes the guy 3 tries reading through the step by step manual I can read over his shoulder. Finally coworker shows up, now for what'll be an 85 minute shift til close, having claimed to be stuck in traffic... at 6:45!? Either tell the truth, or get a closer job. Late arrival is asked to help battery guy install the battery. Mumbles under breath "we don't normally do that after it's dark out". Well guess what mf, guy's been waiting an hour and your scheduled shift started before sunset. Poor battery guy was still there (with his daughter who he called to make sure he could be helped since she just got picked up after school), cuz late arrival couldn't get the battery in. $25 off doesn't get back the 2 hours wasted on what should've taken 20 minutes. Train your employees, work when you're at work, don't tell people not to come in to business, hold your employees accountable, and raise your GD children. Morons read more

The phone screen on my iPhone X stopped working. I brought this into them today to have it repaired and let me tell you they took the best care of me. They had my iPhone fixed within 30 minutes even though they had customers in and out of the door. Even when I brought an issue back up to them after I had left they took care of it no problem and free of charge. When I was paying for the repair they even added on coupons I didn't even know existed. Absolutely the best service I have ever had when dealing with iPhone repairs. Absolutely wonderful staff! I called to find out if they had a programmable fob for my vehicle and they actually went in search of one and assured me there was one left and would hold it. I went in right away and sure enough they had put it up and worked diligently to get it programmed and working! They were 3 gentlemen working in there who were all wonderful and proved teamwork can make amazing things happen. My truck is complicated, but they got it functioning in no time! Apple Valley, MN Store. Our son is in the military and deployed overseas. We are storing his car and it is started every few weeks. Our son purchased a 2 year warranty, and it still has a year left on it. According to Batteries Plus, if the battery does not hold a charge over 10 volts the warranty is void. WTH! I was told that the battery must have a drain on it, Really?! They placed the battery on a charger over night, and was told today the battery is no longer good and would have to purchase a new one, what a worthless warranty. Also called the Customer Service and was told the same thing. What good is the warranty?! Buyer beware! read more

Shout out to Anthony Denmark. I purchased a battery online which I thought was correct. Anthony offered to check if it was in fact the correct battery for me which it was not. He located the correct battery for me and load tested my old battery to make sure it was junk which it was. He then offered me a wealth of knowledge about batteries which was helpful. He told me he has been there only 5 months and takes his job seriously. I could tell right away by way he assisted me with my needs. Any employer would be lucky to have Anthony as a part of their team. He certainly made sure that this location has my business moving forward. Needed cosmetic screen repair on working google pixel 3. I had a working phone but after service, my phone now is unusable because they ordered wrong part and didn't realize until they tried replacing screen. Owner claims I ordered wrong part, even though the only selection i made on their website was "Google Pixel" (no option to pick model 1,2,3 or even alerting me i'm selecting a model 1,2,3). The price listed, and what I signed, was for $129. After my phone is not working -- due to their tech's service --I'm told its now $269 for repair. Now I have no working phone and price is double. Owner of franchise unwilling to negotiate fair price to make this right. read more

This is the worst place ever for customer service! I called before I went in to make sure that they could take me - I got there and they told me to come back the next day because they didn't have the parts in. What?! I go back the next day and they take my phone in to repair my screen. An hour and a half later.... they tell me they broke my home button while replacing my screen. They gave me the service for free and included a pop socket - but seriously?! My phone left worse than when it arrived. AND they are a repair shop and couldn't give me a new home button? BS. After being told that the riding lawn mower battery (which we bought one year ago) wouldn't hold a charge and only had a 6-month warranty, I paused, waiting to hear what type of customer service would follow. I went to Batteries Plus to replace my daughter's Iphone 6 cracked glass screen. They said they use mfg parts so I thought we were in good hands. Since they fixed the screen, her phone would no longer take updates to the ios and there were oher 'funky' things going on. We went to the Apple Store in the Mall of America to find out that we could have paid HALF as much to have it done at the Apple store and that the phone needs to go through a diagnostic check on their Apple system when the screen is changed. Thank goodness, Apple has such great service! They typically do not warranty items that have been tampered by unauthorized places like Batteries Plus. Do NOT use Batteries plus for your Apple products. Go to the Apple Store! read more
