They were extremely knowledgeable, patient and happy to answer all of my questions. What stood out the most was that I never felt rushed. The staff took the time to explain everything clearly and even offered to check my car battery. I didn't have enough time that day, so I decided to skip the battery check, but I truly appreciated the offer. Mixed feelings here. I mean it's a battery store. But a lot of bare shelves. Not sure if due to economy, to deter theft or just everyone snatching up batteries. I think this would be a good place to go if you needed a speciality battery or device. Service seems slow. On one hand, you could say each customer gets plenty of individualized time -- on the other, you're waiting in line and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting, even just to check out. So I would come here if I needed a special battery, but if I needed standard batteries, I'd probably just go to Walgreens or Amazon. read more

This place is a total joke! If you have a whole day to waste then go for it! I've seen turtles move faster. I stood in line for 22 minutes for a 9 volt battery with just a couple of people in front of me and 2 behind me. There were 2 employees working and one spent the whole time with a woman who had a couple watches (who they didn't have the batteries for) just trying to put the watches back together. The other employee was ringing up the other patron on the register-taking his sweet time while there were 5 people in line. This store provides exceptional service. l tried to look for bulbs in Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. but I wasn't able to find the right one. The nice lady in the store was able to help me out. From finding the right base E12 to E26, the right length, the right shade (3000k to 5000k) to the number of lumens, it helps when someone can assist you in finding the right bulb. Good thing they have it in the store. But in case they don't have it in stock, she can order them for you. They even have warranties for certain bulbs so you can return them if they conk out before that. So if you plan on getting bulbs or batteries in the future, I would recommend checking this place out first. read more

On 9/27/2020 I ordered a battery for my ATV online with store pickup using the website battery selector. I selected make and model as well as year and chose a battery from the list returned. I also took advantage of the 10 % discount offered for online orders with in-store pickup. After driving 23 miles to pick it up I was told that the battery selected was not the proper battery and the correct battery would be $20.00 more. Apparently, this was known at the time of order but no attempt was made to contact me to inform me. There was no apology or discount offered for my inconvenience just "Do you want this one or not?" I declined and went to the nearby Walmart to get a battery. This store exhibited very poor service with no appreciation of their customers. I will not be back. read more

I needed a new laptop battery for my HP laptop. We called this store asking if they had a battery to fit it. They told us that we would have to come in and pay for the battery, $110 + tax (and a 30 mile round trip from our home) and they would order the battery once we paid for it. They went on to say that it would take about a week for it to get here and we could then come and pick it up (another 30 mile round trip). A friend recommended that I try Amazon, I found the "Ninjabatt" replacement battery on Amazon for $30.99, free shipping, and it will be here in two days! I brought my daughters iPhone to get the cracked screen replaced. Their technician vetted it through their screening process to see if they can repair the phone. The phone was cleared and accepted for repair. So the screen was replaced. A week later the phone's new screen became unresponsive on portions of the screen so I went back to get it fixed. The technician took it back and replaced the screen at no charge and no issues for the faulty screen. The technician did upsell me a battery replacement while they were cracking the phone open again. About a month and a half later the phone quit charging beyond 2% and there was a portion of the screen with a "burn in". So naturally, I brought the phone in for a third time presuming that a new screen and new battery they installed should last longer than a month and a half. I dropped the phone off with one of the techs to get fixed since they had two other phone to repair first. I got a call 20 mins later from another tech claiming that the screen was not going to be warrantied and it would cost me another $110. Frustrated, I went back... Their Claim: That since I had the phone repaired 8 months ago (1st cracked screen) through a different company they cannot honor their own warranty. The tech proceeded to tell me that the phone should have never made it past their screening process. He then acted like he did me a favor by replacing the faulty 1-month old battery they upsold me on. My Claim: They accepted the phone through their own screening process and deemed it repairable. I paid in full for the screen repair and then for a new battery, in which they installed both times. They have cracked the phone open twice for paid repairs... then claimed that they don't know what the other company might have done 8 months ago...presumably to disassociate Batteries Plus from either faulty hardware, inexperienced technicians, or both. My Samsung Galaxy 7 phone battery was dying and my charge port was broken, of course my SquareTrade warranty expired four months ago. So I called around and got in touch with Nate at the Woodmen store and he quoted me a price and informed me he'd request the parts from the Austin Bluffs store and the parts should be available that morning. So I took my phone to Nate at 1030am and he informed me it should be done by noon. I arrived to the store at 1230pm and he told me the phone was fixed and he informed me the screen broke while repairing the phone and I asked him how much it was going to cost, as he previously informed me my screen suffered from burn-in so I was going to pay for it. He told me he broke it so he's going to have to absorb the cost, so I asked him how much did the screen replacement cost and he told me $200.00. I was in awe because he made my bad day good by having the parts available ASAP, replaced the screen at no charge, and what I appreciated most about Nate is he was very friendly and personable, he didn't treat me only as a customer he treated me as a friend. The extraordinary kind of customer service Nate displayed is a gift that can't be taught. I strongly recommend you take your phone to be repaired at Batteries Plus on Woodmen as he expediated my phone parts, repaired my phone in a timely fashion and most of all demonstrated above and beyond customer service. Buyer beware if you want your phone screen fixed. I brought my phone there for the screen to be repaired. In the process, the home button was rendered inoperable and I was still charged $119 for the screen repair. An offer to replace my phone with a refurbished one was given with the expectation of surrendering my broken phone with the new screen that I just paid for. Being concerned with the quality of a refurbished phone, I accepted a check for close to the value of the phone and surrendered the broken phone with the brand new screen that I had just paid for. Came here to repair my iPhone 8 screen in March which they did. About a month later, screen was completely unresponsive 4 days out of 7. Had to restart it several times to get it unfrozen. On the 5th day, it became frozen again for about a couple of hours , turned it off and back on and nothing happened, I restarted my phone about 4 or 5 times and finally he screen was responsive again. An update for iOS came out so I went ahead and updated the phone and once again, the screen was frozen. I got fed up with it and decided to go back to the store, was talking to 2 guys and told them what had happened and their response was "the new update was bricking everyone's phone, it's all over the internet, just plug your phone back at home and go back to the previous update" told them that this was happening before I got the phone to update, anyway I was thinking to myself my damn screen is frozen so how the hell am I going to use the touch screen. Not once did they give my phone a look. I went home and searched all over the internet and found NO REVIEWS about the new update that had been released, I was fed up again so I went straight to the apple store and explained to them what had happened l, they ran diagnostics on the phone and behold the screen was bad, the silicone they used was not completely around the phone so if I even if my phone was to get wet, the phone would've been messed up on the inside. I Made my appt to come back to apple to replace my screen and get everything done right...I would give batteries and bulbs no stars but because I had to put one, that is all they are getting. Be careful when you try to get your phone fix through them, they have lousy customer service and do piss poor jobs with poor quality screens. read more

Horrendous customer service provided by Jacob! I went in there the other day to get a battery for my car. When asked what type of engine I had I told him I was unsure and asked if there was any way he could help me figure it out. He said he could and looked at the door for a good 2 minutes. I called my mom to see if she knew the engine and she was unsure. So I told him and asked again if he could help me figure out what type I had. He said he could and continued staring out the window. Finally, I asked him how we would go about figuring it out. He told me again "I can" & finally told me that there was a battery that would work for both. He grabbed the battery, scanned it and sat it on the counter. I swiped my card and the pin pad read waiting on cashier. He sat there and looked out the window for an obnoxiously long time and finally asked me for my information. After the transaction was done he put the receipt on top and told me bye. When asked about the free instalation of the battery he intentionally ignored me and answered the phone. As soon as he hung up the phone he turned away from me and tried to help other people. I asked again about the free instalation and he said he could but I never asked. He sat there and so I asked again. He finally said he'd grab his tool kit and went off in the back for a solid 5 minutes or so. He finally came out and put the battery in. After he was done he grabbed my battery. When asked about the credit I should have received for my battery he told me with his back towards me that I don't get it back cause I never asked for him to install the battery. And continued walking off. I was appaled. When called and asked about why he treated me like shit the entire time he flat out said it was because I was on my phone. First of all I needed to use my phone to find out information on my car because my customer service rep was a complete duchebag and claimed he knows how to help me but refuses to take action.
