Visited the store one week ago. Owner has a large sign with his political beliefs on it. It's a message about fulfilment coming from being married and being a parent. So disrespectful to people who can't or won't get married, or people who choose not to, or are unable to have kids. No one needs to see that when they are buying batteries. Fast, friendly, no nonsense service for my car fob batteries! Even for a Saturday morning when I thought there'd be a wait.

If I could give a 0 stars I would. Bought a battery for my mom's car. 3 months later car wouldn't start. They replaced the battery. Now less than a year later, it is bad again. The manager at the St Louis Park store was belligerent. we had an ASC certified mechanic with 20 years of experience tell them there was no parasitic draw on the battery, and they wouldn't listen. It was still under the warranty time. said leave the battery it is frozen? How does a car start if the battery is frozen? Then they said it has to be in a car to test it properly. They do NOT stand behind their products nor do they honor the warranty. The franchise owner also has other stores, so make sure you don't go to any of them. The mechanic in town, an ASC certified mechanic both said the battery was bad. I guess a Batteries Plus manager knows more than they do. read more

They are always so helpful. I usually have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to any battery. I am mostly here for my car key fob battery. They are patient with me and know all the questions to ask. They replace that battery for me themselves and it is so quick. I could leave and come back but it's not even worth it to leave. My UPS (battery backup unit for PC) failed. My fist impulse was to return to Best Buy where I purchased it 4 yrs ago. It was New Year's Eve day so I was not optimistic about obtaining service. I considered Best Buy figuring they'd be most likely to have a replacement battery and be familiar with replacement procedure. Never had a good experience at one. Then I remembered a local Micro Center store I figured would have competent service techs. Then my daughter said there was a Batteries Plus store nearby. Never been to one before. Assumed they would have the least qualified staff and no replacement battery...thus the longest wait. I decided on going to Micro Center but the Batteries Plus store was nearby and on the way. I was totally surprised by female service tech who came out from behind the Service Desk and asked if she could help me. I explained my problem and she looked at the device, said she thought they'd have a replacement, showed me a selection on the shelf, and told me the prices. She showed me where I could sit and wait, then took the unit to her bench. In 15 min she returned with the repaired UPS. I was amazed at her skills, knowledge, and friendly professionalism. While what a needed - a mobile phone battery - was not available, the friendly and professional associate provided a short list of other retailers to find what I needed. Called asking for a battery replacement. They had the battery in stock but would not install it because it is in the trunk and is covered by a piece of carpeting. Are you assure them that you just lift up the piece of carpeting and the battery is directly underneath and easily accessible. Manager of this place refused to help. Unfortunately my garage door opener battery died during a cold spell in Minnesota. As usual, I go to Batteries Plus for my unique batterie needs. Unfortunately the store was swamped with people needing new car batteries (and they install them for people at no additional cost.) That said their three workers handled the crowd efficiently and quickly and I actually waited less than 5 minutes. Which us about 20 minutes less than I thought I'd have to wait. They opened up my opener, tested the battery in it (it was dead), put in a new battery, closed it up and recycled the old battery for me, all for just $6 plus tax. What a deal! A cracked phone screen sent us to to a Batteries Plus Bulbs and it's great that there's the 180 day guarantee! The sensitivity was a bit off with the first replaced screen so we came to this location to get a new screen placed on. Evan was awesome! He took great care of us and gave us a realistic time estimate. The great thing about this particular location is that they keep everything e-filed so there's no need to maintain paper receipts or copies of any transactions. I've never been to a Batteries Plus to switch out my car battery (always gone to dealership or autozone) but they had what I was looking for and I liked the option to make an appointment time for install so I went for it. The associates at this location are awesome! Super professional, friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome and taken care of. Service went great and we were in and out with our new battery installed within 15 mins. Location is convenient, store was clean, and a good selection but the top notch customer service given by the guys who work here is what really made it a great experience. Such a smooth experience! My husband sent me on a mission to get a car battery. This is not my exact expertise so I just told the clerk my car's make model year and he confidently looked up the battery for me and gave me my three choices for dollar amounts and how long the warranty lasted. I told him I needed a minute to discuss this with my husband, not a problem at all. He told me most people do not get the most expensive choice. He did not need to offer that information, now did he? But it was helpful in making my decision. Which was the middle option. He walked to the shelf, tested it on his little machine for quality, and sent me on my merry way with a $215 battery that let me in my car go from not starting to starting. Best part about doing that was, I found you could quickly do all the searching online before going to the store. I was able to put in my car year, make and model, then blam, it listed my options. I brought my iPhone 7 in to get the cracked screen fixed. They replaced the screen then my phone no longer worked. The audio was shot and the phone had a lot of glitches on apps. It worked just fine before getting the screen fixed. I ended up having to buy an entire new phone after spending $100 on the replacement screen. I stopped in last week to get a replacement bulb for a VW Passat rear tail light. And they had it. In stock. Actually they initially gave me the wrong bulb because the guy was new and had a little trouble looking up the correct bulb. But I saw it wasn't the right shape and they went and pulled out the light assembly to check. Then someone installed it for me because the place wasn't too busy. Actually Zack installed a new bulb on both sides! So much cheaper, faster and easier than going to the dealership! And it would have taken me an hour or more to figure out how to remove the light and insert the battery. I've gone here to buy batteries, too, over the years. They are definitely not likely to be the cheapest, but their batteries are also likely to be fresher than the ones you can pick up at Target. Most of the staff is knowledgeable about batteries and bulbs to the point of being geeky. But that's usually what you want, especially if you arent' susre what you need. They can also check a bulb or battery to see if it's good before you replace it only to find that's not the problem. read more

I came here last night in the midst of the first polar vortex of December 2016. They made the car battery replacement process extremely easy and explained everything in a way that was simple! The installation was very quick and definitely worth the $12.99. They were also running a great sale on other batteries (AA, AAA, 9V, etc) and one of the employees mentioned they discount batteries on a fairly regular basis because of their stock. The battery was fine, and on sale which is nice. The installation process was terrible. We needed a battery replaced in my Honda Fit. This was NOT a difficult replacement (the battery was easily accessible), but the new one was improperly installed, resulting in the car regularly failing to start within a few days (requiring frequent jumping). We thought it was a starter problem so we took it to our mechanic, who said no, the battery was completely botched, and we were lucky it didn't ground itself and start a fire. Thankfully they fixed it (diagnosis + correct installation was $50, cheaper than a new starter). But I think I'm done with getting my batteries here. read more

I just wanted to give you a heads up about this location in St. Louis Park. I purchased a cell phone battery there, and I specifically asked them what their return policy was. I was told it was 12 months. I ended up purchasing a new cell phone. When I tried to return the battery to them, they said I couldn't return it. I said that I was told I had a year to return it. The manager told me I needed to read the fine print on the back of the receipt. Now that's customer service for you. Spread the word not to shop for anything here as they aren't truthful up front. read more

Needed a new truck battery and thought I'd check them out. I first checked their web site, and then went into the store for more information and pricing. Spoke with Aron. He REALLY knows his car batteries. He didn't try to up-sell me, as many automotive stores would have, but was more interested in what I wanted and needed. We tried 3 or 4 different batteries, standing out in the cold, but none fit. He finally found an Optima battery that was slightly above what I planned to spend (an Optima red-top battery), but it offered more CCAs, was maintenance free, and came with a 3 year replacement warranty. It was a bit too small, but he recommended that I could find a different battery hold-down at a nearby NAPA. I will definitely return for all my battery needs! read more

My Iphone 6 was powering off even though I had a good charge, I brought it in and 30 minutes later I have a new phone!!! My phone was about 3 years old and had a ton of charges. I first ran into the issue with the IOS 30% charge shutdown then it went too the 100% shutdown. I would have to plug the phone in to get it to boot up. Then it would be at 100% charge.
