Excellent experience! My daughters 8th generation iPad fell off the bed and the screen shattered. I asked in my local mom group for a recommendation and Gophermods kept being suggested. No appointment was needed. I brought in my daughters iPad, showed them the damage, gave them my personal information and left. The timeline on the website said it would be a few days but they did the repair in a few hours! When I picked up my daughters iPad they went over everything. They showed me it was charging, the speakers worked, microphone worked, the screen brightness worked, Touch ID worked and more. Literally they went over every feature to show me it was operational. From the moment I got the screen protectors installed on my then-new iPhone 10 I knew I was going to love these folks when they said "these screens are guaranteed for LIFE!". Last week i went in, years later, and by golly, they did indeed replace the screen FOR FREE. Today I returned and got a new screen protector on my tablet (I'd put the last screen on myself). Their prices are more than fair, and ESPECIALLY more than fair when you figure you'll never have to buy a screen protector again. I had a great experience with Gophermods. When I called ahead to check the wait time, they inquired further into the make of my phone to make sure they had the part available. They did not, and saved me a trip. When the part did arrive, the process was quick, painless, and the employees were kind, experienced, and efficient. They also didn't make fun of me when I didn't know that an iphone 10s and iphoneXs are the same thing (well, at least not to my face). Today at the park, a gust of wind swept my magazine, water bottle, and brand-new-bought-less-than-a-week-ago iPhone 6 to the sidewalk. The water bottle and magazine survived, sadly the iPhone screen did not. Less than an hour later, I walked out of Gophermods with a new screen. I have used Gophermods three times, and 2/3 times have been great. The time I used their services in Woodbury (as opposed to their Minneapolis location) was just awful. In sum - they took over two weeks to replace a screen. They sent me a message telling me that it was ready for pickup. I gave it a few hours and went to pick it up and it hadn't even been started yet. After all was said and done, the screen they tried to put on was defective and they couldn't give me a time frame for getting a new one. The technician actually recommended I go to the Apple store to get a guaranteed time frame/service. I realize them not having stocked products is not entirely their fault, and the service I have gotten from them at other locations has been great. But the customer service this time around -- lack of communication, bad communication, no real knowledge of their supplier and timeline and product shipments, and then at the end of the day letting me know they won't charge me as if they are doing me some big favor (like I should be thankful they aren't charging me when I didn't actually get anything repaired). I ended up using iCracked to get my screen repaired. They met me the next day and repaired it immediately. Great service, wonderful technician, and same price as Gophermods. After complaining to Better Business Bureau, the business fought badly with complete lie and below is their response to BBB: ______________________________________ "Both times *** came in, he was demanding and rude that we repair his device for free because the screen cracked. Both times, the damages were significant and not a sign of faulty workmanship or quality. Under many circumstances we will replace a devices cracked screen under warranty if we inspect the device and see no signs of punctures, drops or pressure marks; however, on this device there was a clear impact point on the display.After calling us"Stupid Jerks", we did not want to continue business with Mr. Zhang and asked him to please leave our facility. " ____________________________________ The business is completely lying - as a senior leader at a Fortune 500 company it would be very impossible for me to be perceived as "rude" and spoke dirty words like 'Stupid Jerks' (is this a human language??? I broke my iPhone 6 screen in 4/16. Went to Gophermods in Woodbury to have it fixed, but they didn't have a screen in-stock, and requested that I drive to Apple Valley to have it repaired at that Gophermods shop, which I did. Screen fixed for $124. It worked well for 10 months, then it started giving me some errors - the screen would go purple and I couldn't see what I was doing on the phone. Unfortunately, even with taking a screen shot of the phone, the phone felt it was performing correctly, so it didn't capture the purple. And, the error was intermittent and didn't constantly show purple. Fast forward to 3/17, I bring the phone into Gophermods Woodbury with my receipt and explain the issue. I also brought my receipt, which included my 1-year warranty that expires in 4/17. The folks at Gophermods proceed to tell me "that's not the phone we repaired and that's not the screen we put on it". My receipt stated "iphone black" for the screen they put on. My screen is white. Additionally, my receipt says "space grey" for the phone color, but mine is silver. So, they wouldn't repair it and I'm stuck with a non-functioning phone. My warranty was as good as the person writing out the receipt, and in this case, it was inaccurate, so the warranty was for not. Of course, I didn't pay attention to the receipt when I received it via email after the repairs were made. I simply filed it and assumed it was good. This phone really is the phone I brought to them and it still has the screen they put on it. But, of course, I have no way to prove otherwise, particularly since the technician didn't bother to record the serial number, which could have been done easily when he had the phone open! Ultimately, I don't recommend Gophermods. They're expensive and given the above situation, your warranty is similar to a tire or carpet warranty - you walk out the door feeling good, but if you ever need to utilize the warranty, good luck; it's not happening. read more

I shattered my iPhone 6's screen so I took it here to get it fixed. When I picked it up that same day, my home button was sunk way too low and it was loose and wobbly. I also noticed that the vibration on my phone would make the home button buzz, which was nerve-wracking. This was an issue that hadn't been there initially when my screen had been shattered, rather, right when I had received my *seemingly* good-as-new iPhone 6 back. Just yesterday, I had taken it back in to ask about this problem, and they had claimed that the "adhesive" had been damaged "when the phone was shattered." So they took it to the back room to "refill the adhesive," and 30 minutes later, they gave it back to me, and right away I felt the button and it was exactly the same as when I brought it earlier(loose and buzzing). I'm grateful that they didn't charge me(they have a 1 year warranty), however, the fact that I had walked back into the store and told them that they didn't change anything, they brought their other employees out to the front desk and practically pushed my problem away as if I didn't deserve their time. How disrespectful. I appreciate the fixed screen, but thanks for giving me not only more physical damage to my $700 iPhone 6, but for also showing me, and whomever reads this review, that you and your overpriced fixer-upper store has a limit on respect for your customers. read more

I cannot recommend this place. I needed my iPad mini screen replaced and it took a few days for the screen to come in (understandable) but then they broke the new screen when replacing so had to wait for another screen to come in. They had the audacity to assure me that their mistake would not cost me any more money (gee, ya think?) and I was told it would be done by a certain date. It wasn't ready that day, either. Lastly, the colors are not nearly as vibrant on the new (probably cheap) screen which I was not warned about. If I had known that I would have gone through Apple but this place had good reviews. All I was offered was an apology and we'll train our people going forward to warn customers about the colors. Lot of good that does me now. They should offer unhappy customers more than an I'm sorry, deal with it. Ok, I'll deal with it by warning as many people away from this place as possible. read more

These guys have bailed me Putin the past with quick reasonably priced phone repair and today was the same today. My phone wouldn't charge and was out of juice so I was in a pickle. I read the reviews and was hopeful that my sons iPads could be fixed. It only has a cracked screen. I called and was given a quote and time frame of 48 hours. I brought in the iPad a week ago to be fixed prior to leaving on vacation. So fast forward to today where I had to call and ask for a progress report in hopes it was ready or being fixed. I was disappointed to find out that the iPad hadn't been fixed and they still didn't order the part. So now only 48 hours until vacation and I had to pick up the iPad in hopes to get it fixed somewhere else because it sat for a week not getting fixed. Now I'm forced to scramble around looking for a place that will do it in 48 hours since a week of my time was wasted where I thought it was already getting fixed. I received one email the day after I dropped it off saying the part was on the next shipment tomorrow so it could be fixed(still within the 48 hours), but now have a disappointed and soon to be very bored child in a flight. read more
