The quality of the water in Long Lake has gotten worse every year (see the DNR's report on water…read morequality). It is now too low to boat in. I paid $500 for a boat slip and was not able to get my boat in the water. The weeds have overtaken the lake. Can't fish or swim in it. The road to the campground is wash boarded. It tears up your vehicle's suspension. The owner's raised the rates because they built a pickle ball court that no one uses. There is no shade in the campground, and it is very dusty due to all the golfcarts constantly driving up and down the roads. There are 3 owners, soon to be 4, which makes it difficult to deal with. Sometimes they enforce the rules and sometimes they don't. It just depends on what kind of mood they are in and how much they have been drinking. This place is definitely not worth the money!

Ok first of all the website states the following- Lake Notes: Specializing in Walleye, Northern…read morePike and Bluegill. Crappie, Large & Smallmouth Bass are also caught. The lake is green as it has a high toxicity from local farming fertilizer thus killed off most fish just ask the cabin owners. We would not go in the green mucky water and had no walleye bass or crappys not even a decent size sunfish. We went across-the-street to Ottertail lake where the water is clear and has BIG fish! So we will be staying at one of Ottertail lake rv parks. Not sure why but the rvs are on top of each-other on a non sand lake shore and the lake is small. If we go within 150' of any of the docks we can get fined heavily and I saw locals on their properties filming boats. Hey I dont blame them. I wouldnt waist your $ or time on this RV park yes its one of those ..... many more just down the toad and on bigger fish filled lakes. We were not happy!
