Security stopped me while I was browsing to tell me I had to remove my face mask. I am disabled. I have autoimmune, heart, and nervous system issues. I get sick easily. I have been masking for years to avoid hospitalization over simple infections. I told the officer this, and he told me it was mall policy now. Updated visit to mall on 6/7/24 and happy to report that this mall is over 95% occupied and thriving. The major department stores are here along with many name brand stores and a good food court and other food options . Love going to the mall and hope this one will continue to flourish. read more

This plan was a total 80's flashback to when malls were in full form. It was busy, and all of the spaces were occupied with the exception of the old Sears anchor, which looks like they will have a new tenant shortly. It was clean inside, the AC was awesome and there were lots of people going through the shops. I swear it was like the 80's made a return. It's nice to see an actual working mall. read more

A well sized mall with lots of the usual stores you'd expect to see. They have large walkways and it's easy to get around. It's a bit broken up from one aisle to the next, but it's easy to see all the stores and find what you want. There are directories in several locations and they have signage on all entryways that masks are required inside. There are also dedicated entries and exits from the outside. There are some shops on the outside that are not accessible from the inside so be sure to check those out as well. Plenty of parking and it was simple to get in and out of the lot. Overall: A Medium / Large mall with all the usual stores you'd expect to see inside a mall. They are clean and following guidelines. read more

Springfield may have a very hometown feeling, nice polite people, and I mean Nice as in friendly, kind, courteous, respectful, people who still open doors and go out of their way to make you happy! It will take you around 20 minutes to pull out your phone and start looking for whatever you came here to find. Sure there's lots of useless pointless shops but for the ones you do want to go to they never have anything your looking for in stock. Why in this day and age do these places even exist. It's a waste of space. You think they would realize this and try to at least attempt to stay above it. But no. 98% of the time I end up scanning a bar code and finding it online for a dramatically cheaper price I know it's bad for local businesses but if they really feared the eshops you think they would put some damn effort in and work on their customer service. We basically just come here to walk. The store has been over ran with kiosks selling novelty items. Too bad you can't give 3 1/2 stars because it seems this would be a better rating. You really can't just walk through the mall anymore without having someone try to hand you something, or pull you into their pitch. Stores are constantly opening, and closing, prices are high, and kid area is awful. If you gotta hit a few stores, and grab some lunch on a cold day then the mall will work. I grew up in Lebanon, MO - an entire hour away from the huge city of Springfield. A trip to Battlefield Mall was a huge deal. Ahhh....those were the days. A few bags of gummy worms at Mr. Bulkys and lunch at the Food Court and everyone went home happy. I still love Battlefield Mall. I am NOT a huge shopper and I would rather take a bullet to the head than spend an entire day at the mall or shopping. It has its basic "anchor" stores - JCP, Macy's, and Dillard's and more than enough for this chick in between. Luckily for me, the two places I really like to go are right together. I can park at the Macy's entrance and be in and out in a snap. The city has planned well to keep traffic moving in/out of the mall area and reducing congestion. Again, I couldn't give a rat's a@@ about fashion, so take it for what's it is worth on a rating for a mall. It has what I need and keeps it simple. read more

Just like any other mall in the US, this one has all the big retailers like Dillard's and Macy's. It also has footlocker, Express, American Eagle, Hollister and other retailers. I like the food court here due to the variety; Greek, Chinese, Mongolian, Texmex, American, English... there'a plenty of options! I also like this place called Lolli and Pops which is a candy store that sells imported chocolates. The Chick Fil A and the Starbucks inside the mall are also great. read more

This is by NO MEANS an up-scale mall. There is nothing upscale about it. Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, and Cold Water Creek are basic, norm mall stores. Particularly stores I don't care to even window shop. I'm actually used to 2-story malls, St. Louis Galleria, West County, so to me this mall is ghetto. It randomly has carpet in one section of the mall when the rest is tile and Dillard's is split in 2. Ridiculous, I know. The food court is unimpressive, so you might as well eat at Olive Garden across the street. This mall also offers nothing in clothing for my age range, aside from Dillard's..I don't care to shop at DEB or Forever 21. The ONLY reason I'd come here is to go to Sunglass Hut, Old Navy, or because I'm bored and walk around munching an Auntie Anne's pretzel. If you're a teen, it's a great hangout and shop for you. 25 and older with some fashion sense? Not so much. NOTE: STL galleria has a Cheesecake Factory and a brand new Nordstrom's...the Brentwood area it is located in, also has a Whole Foods. Ok, so I did it, I mean, c'mon somebody has to give it 5 stars. I really do appreciate this store. Even though they are a member of the darkside, I still enjoy the place. The music keeps you upbeat and happy. The clearance is insane sometimes. They have a nice variety and the best thongs (ok, flip-flops) in the entire world. Ya gotta love em, I wear out about 5 pair a year, fortunatly, they are inexpensive. If you are looking for a cheap thrill, invent a sport with one of their sporting goods. This mall has been here forever. I like to check it out when I visit my parents. They have great stores like Charming Charlie, Torrid, Macy's , Visionworks, just to name a few. The food court is always clean and so are the bathrooms. The mall isn't huge but there is a lot to see and has stores on the outside that don't have doors connecting to the inside of the mall. They have a great restaurant called Hu Hot. There is also a Five Guys and a Moe's to eat at. They are both located on the outside of the mall next to Hu Hot. The mall is family friendly and has stores for everyone in your family. read more

I find this store exceedingly annoying and I thought I would never shop their. Their commercials alone will make any human being, that has a brain, go bonkers. The jingles are worse and make me cringe. However, they have two things working for them, the make a great vintage tee and polo and have impeccable service. There is always someone around to answer your questions and the little headsets they wear solve the problem if an answer is unknown. For these two things they earn three stars, even if they don't have a size thirteen sandal. read more

It's a Simon Mall. Pretty much the same here as any other one. I've been to ones from here to California. You would think some people are mall connoisseurs on here from the way they talk, but obviously not. I shop at this mall mainly because its close to me, it could use a larger variety of shops but it is okay for what it is (a rural city mall) I noticed someone called it a ghetto mall? and then went on to say how great the galleria mall in st. louis is, I have been to both malls and would consider the galleria the ghetto mall also battlefield mall has way more variety at the food court than the galleria. Battlefield mall is a very safe mall and not a place you would have to worry about your kids at. I would recommend this mall to any casual shopper for casual fashion. I will say, do NOT go to "sunglass hut" in the mall!!! while shopping in this store the employee was watching my every move while I was looking at and trying on different pairs of sunglass's, anyways after a little bit he approached me and asked me if I had any glass's? I asked him what he meant because I did not know what he was getting at, then he said "I think you stole a pair" and then said "can you show me your pockets?" I was very perplexed because I have never stole anything in my life and I have been raised to know that thieves are scum, so basically this guy was calling me scum (I was dressed in designer clothes) I did empty my pockets to show him that I in fact have not stole anything (I do not know how I even could I was wearing tight jeans). I left the store without purchasing anything even though I had planned on buying a pair of sunglass's they lost my business and anyone I come in contact with over this treatment, I made a report to mall security afterwords. I have never been treated this way in my life and I was very shocked I really hope that employee gets fired and I would recommend ANYONE and everyone stay away from sunglass hut I have even debated a lawsuit against sunglass hut for harassment. Been coming to Battlefield Mall for probably 35 years or more. Back in the day, this was one of the only places to shop outside of Wal Mart and your home town mom and pop stores. This mall serves a rural area of about a 130 mile radius. It's a fairly small mall. You can walk through it pretty quickly. When i was a kid, there was a pet store in this mall. What great fun it was to look at all the puppies, kittens, birds, fish, etc. It's no longer there. Today it seems like mostly jewelry and clothing stores. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen so many jewelry stores in the same mall. I'm surprised they can all compete and stay in business. Anchor stores include Macy's, Dillards, J. C. Penney, and Sears. The food court is decent. Parking can be a pain, and traffic around the mall is awful. read more

There are a lot of stores for older women such as CJ Banks, Coldwater Creek, etc. and what seems like 264946 shoe stores amidst a bunch of tiny independent useless stores like the 3+ candy stores. I try to avoid malls as a general rule, so I come in, get what I need, and leave. I go during the week to avoid the swarms of teenagers with nothing better to do. When it's not packed to the gills, it is pretty nice. They do their best to try and keep it clean and the mall security on segways are always good for a laugh. read more

This is one of the closest malls to my house and I really enjoy going there. Most of the clothes are overpriced in stores like lots of malls, but some stores like Hot Topic are often offering half price or BOGO sales on t-shirts. Especially right before summer or right before winter. My favorite thing to do is Mall walk. I always stop by Build a bear, Hot Topic, Mr. Bulky's, Gamestop, Victoria's secret, Starbucks and the DQ. I like this mall because it does have a wide variety of stores for different types of people. It's one of the bigger malls I've seen. It still does not compare to Branson Landing though, they have a lot more stores with namebrand clothes and a lot better places to eat, but when I need to get out of the house for a while this is the easiest place for me to go. read more

I can usually find what I need rather quickly and get in and out of there in no time at all... Except around Christmas, then I avoid the place at all cost. I don't think it's the stores fault completely, They just get beet down and tore apart, the check out lines are long, and as I was reaching for the last polo on the wall in my size the lady standing next to me looked like she was going to bit my arm off. This Old Navy always seem clean and the staff ensure that it isn't cluttered. The prices are always reasonable as you would expect. All Old Navy's might consider redesigning their cash register areas to be more efficient. They are all close together which gets bottle necked when very busy. They have a great selection of kids items as well. read more

I just received one of, if not the worst, manicures I've ever gotten. The employee that did my nails seemed to be in charge of the shop but I'm not sure. He did my manicure with dirty instruments he pulled out of his drawer, definitely not sterilized. The filing was ragged and the polish applied haphazardly even running over my cuticles. The edges of the polish started peeling back almost immediately and you could see the different layers of polish that were applied inconsistently. I can't believe I left a tip and am still angry with myself for not saying anything. I will never recommend or go back. read more

I have been a Macy's shopper for years. I recently moved to Springfield, MO from NJ. The Macy's at the Battlefield Mall has a poor selection of merchandise compared to the Macy's stores in NJ. I was in Macy's yesterday and found out they will no longer be selling Jones Signature Collection. When I asked the sales associate why, she didn't know. I'm probably going to stop shopping at Macy's unless their quality and selection improves. read more
