Battleship 12k just celebrated its 10th year of racing, honoring the US Military members and veterans. This is an awesome, flat run from Spanish Fort, AL to the USS Alabama in Mobile, running alongside the I-10 twin span over Mobile Bay. The background of this race is special. The founder was always bothered at the lack of honor his father and so many others received upon returning from Vietnam, and he wanted to do something to honor all those who have served this country in the armed forces. The event has grown through the years and sold out this year! If you run consecutive years, you get a challenge coin, and the medals are always absolutely. stellar! If you are a military active member or veteran, you have a special bib, and it is absolutely heartwarming to see the crowd give special acknowledgement to them. FreshJunkie Racing knows how to put on an awesome race, and they did it again in 2025! I'm always proud to #runtohonor the Battleship 12k!! read more

My husband and two sons played here for the first time, and we had a great experience! The course…read moreis relatively small, which made it easy to get started and enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. It was quite busy when we visited, but the groups moved along quickly, so there was very little waiting. The course was impeccably maintained and featured several fun, unique elements that we hadn't seen before--including a spinning wheel obstacle (see photos). Those creative touches made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back!
