Handicapped accessible parking directly in front of launch. Very quiet and scenic. It is wintertime & cold, so I did not get to see the normal wildlife like turtles and alligators, beavers. Tons of birds. Launch is only open from 8AM to 5PM daily. Nature Center is also a short stroll away.

The restrooms are closed, but there are two port-a-potties in an enclosure in the middle of the marina parking area.

Free public boat launch on US-98 Battleship Parkway otherwise known as The Causeway to locals…read more There are two boat ramps on either side of the pier. The boat launch is directly next to Cafe Del Rio Mexican Restaurant and you can see the USS Alabama across The Causeway on the other side. During the summer, it is very busy & you can see alligators sunning themselves nearby in the tall grasses. I believe this boat launch gives access to The Mobile-Tensaw River Delta. Mobile Bay is very shallow. Also a good point for kayaks and rafting. It is known locally as a very good fishing spot, but the pier sign says no crabbing or fishing from the pier. I see a lot of retired fisherman come here, they bring a lawn or deck chair and fish more behind the parking area near the water.
