Bauer Auction has cost my family's Estate thousands of dollars. We provided him with over $20K worth of merchandise and he sold all of the items "supposedly" for less than $10K and then took a substantial amount away from that total for fees and removal of items from the home. Don Bauer the owner also admitted he threw away the Encyclopedias we expected to be sold because they were in pristine condition. The Encyclopedias were vintage and would have sold and if he did not want to sell then he should have informed the Estate so we could pick the books up and sell them on our own or keep them. He offered to provide us with some random Encyclopedias, which was unacceptable, again the books we put in auction were in mint condition and were vintage, they would not trashed old books. There were also many other items that were "supposedly" sold for next to nothing when they clearly had value and should have been sold for more. Bauer Auction did not set the proper expectation that they would be giving away items that had value and were in good condition. We expected some of older and damaged items to be sold for pennies, but not the expensive tools, furniture, and clothing items. I would not recommend this company and I believe they are not practicing good and fair business. Buyer BEWARE for sure. read more
