Tony was able to get me everything I needed for my car. There was a part that I wasn't sure would fit but his system said it was interchangeable. He sold me the part and let me know to bring it back if they didn't fit. Part did not end up working out and gave me a refund no problem. Other parts were good and gave me a deal on those. This is a bit of a long post, mainly to explain our side, so I apologize in advanced. It's hard to know where to begin honestly. My boyfriend was in a fender bender in my car, unfortunately the other car had a ball hitch so it did a number on my smaller car. The cops where called and had the car towed, while he being a mechanic himself felt it was perfectly fine to drive home *which was right around the corner from the accident*, the officers disagreed and had it towed. I did try to have the head of towing in the police department reverse their fees since we felt it shouldn't have been towed to begin with, but he agreed with the field officers judgment call and wouldn't budge. At first, the people at Bauers seemed great! Friendly, reasonable, etc. Than pretty quickly it went sour. The accident happened going into a weekend, so we weren't going to be able to get it out right away. The fee itself for towing was around $220 or so dollars. But there are also the day fees for storage. I was told by the owner that it was $75 a day. When we called the following Monday the total fee was listed at $550. By Thrusday of the same week our bill was close to $1,000. We dont have much money so we couldn't afford to get my car out even at $550. As the days drew on where we tried to find some solution to get my car out, the owner became more and more impatient and more angry with us. My boyfriend tried to talk with him about maybe exchanging work, or being willing to take payments or something. I can understand refusing but he blew up in my boyfriend's face and was also incredibly rude with my mother when she went in to see how much the bill went up. I am disabled and can't work and my boyfriend provides for both of us. So we're extremely limited resource wise and now we have no car. While the car has been impounded it was broken into and things where stolen, to which of course nothing was done. I also noticed this seems to be a problem with this tow yard as someone else mentioned it in a review here as well. We were trying our best to get our things but with no car and little money, getting down there to get things that weren't able to be taken on the night of the accident was difficult. A couple of weeks after it was impounded I recieved a letter that my car would be put up for lien sale in 30 days. Well nothing I could do to pay to get it out so up for lien sale it goes. I assumed it would be done with but apparently not. I recently received a letter from a collections agency seeking close to $3,000 from the tow yard. So thats exactly what I need, an impact to my already not great credit because of school and health related debt. Again I can understand work and customer service etc., I did a lot if it before my disability made me stop so I know how it is in both roles of customer and service provider. But after the first couple of days of playing nice he was incredibly snippy and rude and frankly unprofessional. In looking for reviews of this tow yard, when this all started going downhill quickly, the reviews on Google that dont praise him, he's incredibly rude and unprofessional towards. But as they say you can't get blood out of a turnip, so he can squeeze me all he wants but I dont have $3000 to give him or a collection agency, especially for a car that was only worth maybe $800 at best. I would try and avoid him and his tow yard. So far it all seems shady, not to mention if the owner doesnt seem like he's getting his money or anyone doesnt Brown nose, he tantrums like a child. The only solace I can take from this really is that I'm not the exception, I'm the rule with this tow yard. I do feel bad for others who've had to deal with this nightmare though. I'm going to speak with my father about what I can do or if he will help. He wasnt willing to help before when it was $550 but he had a change of heart and wanted me to find out how much the bill was. The day I was going to call and ask I received the letter from the collections agency. He's very much a penny pincher however so I am unsure of what he will do. Its funny, accidents happen, but this would've been a lot less painful if the cops either lets us drag my car down the block off the main streets home, or if the owner was willing to let us make payments. If I could give zero stars I would. These people are criminals. After my accident I did not have a choice where my car was towed. The CHP handled everything. When I was allowed to retrieve my belongings from the car, there were MANY items missing. It's obvious they stole my belongings out of my car. They stole a FasTrak toll tag from my glove box and used it in the bay area 3 times after the accident. Luckily, I was able to get a new one and report the old one stolen, but I'll never get that money back. There was County issued equipment in the car, and of course that was all gone. A large bag of dog food was also taken, which I'm sure was used to feed the dog that they have on the property (which I actually don't mind because I suspect that dog is neglected/abused). The stuff wasn't worth a huge amount of money, but the fact that they see vehicles that come to them as their personal treasure troves instead of someone else's property makes them straight up criminals. I highly recommend using Bauer's. The part I needed would of been almost double the price anywhere else. Called and spoke to a professional named Tony. He called back verifying that he had the part. I told him that I would be sending my wife to get the part. He made sure she got there ok and sent her off with the correct part. Thank you Tony, I greatly appreciate your help. read more

Terrible place to take your car. My car was impounded about two weeks ago and they completely destroyed my interior... slash marks in the leather and scuff marks on the drivers side. I'm extremely furious with how they have treated such a nice vehicle. Show some respect to the people who own cars. read more

The company is ridiculous and scandalous. The guy that answered the phone sounds like he hates his job. Very unpleasant. It's not right to take out how your feeling on your customers. Very unprofessional. These people are straight up highway robbery. I honestly dont know how they sleep at night. Our car got impounded and they are trying to charge us a whopping $495 to get the car taken out. The police had informed us that it would be $189 to get it out and we could get it out first thing in the morning. First things first the car WASNT even in the lot for 24 hrs. Second from the location the car was impounded to the tow lot was LESS than a mile. Either this company is fraudulent or scammers because theres no way in hell they can charge $239 dollars to tow for the police at less than one mile. Its ridiculous especially when someone is working and they take your only vehicle to get to work. read more

My daughter had an accident and the CHP called this place for a tow. The driver said I could go down to the tow yard and get my personal stuff out of the car any time during business hours. A couple of days later I went to this tow yard and was told I could not remove anything. I got very angry and said loudly, "Then why in the hell did your driver say I could.....where is he, I want to talk to him right now". After a few minutes they finally relented and I got my property. After a few more days, I receive in the mail from Bauer's a "NOTICE OF PENDING LIEN SALE FOR VEHICLE VALUED $4000 OR LESS". On the notice, they claimed they had already sent me a bill for towing and storage charges. THEY ARE LIARS, I NEVER RECEIVED A BILL. This place is indeed a very shady place and my next phone call will be to the CHP to ask them to take Bauer's off of their towing list. By the way, a tow at this shady place costs you $220 plus $50/day storage. read more
