After I told him what it is, he tried looking for the inscription on the inside of the band, which is clear as day to the naked eye. He didn't believe me, and couldn't find the info even with his magnifier (red flag #1). He became agitated, but finally found the inscription. He continued to inspect the ring, and then, very rudely, told me he wouldn't risk working with it. His tone sounded like he thought I was a diamond smuggler (lol wut). I asked why he couldn't just resize it (at this point I wasn't going to let him do anything to my ring, I was just confused as hell and wanted to know what was up), and he said, "I'm not so sure about the diamond." I asked for clarification, and then he told me he believed my diamond wasn't real or lab-created. WHAT!!! I explained I had the GIA certification, and he stated that he wouldn't work with me. It was as if he just couldn't believe I had such a quality ring. I get that mistakes happen and you can't expect jewelers to be perfect. However, his attitude and claims aren't worth your business. I never take off the one I have owned for 23yrs. I shower, swim, and sleep with it on. I am very heartbroken. When I told the lady it wasn't my cross she showed me a paper picture and said this is the picture. My daughter even walked up after and saw it and said that isn't your cross and I said I know I just told her that and she walked away.
